Chapter 526 - Chapter 523: A Crime Worthy of Beheading

"Yanqing is actually doing alright. His injuries weren't as severe as they seemed," Yunli said with a gentle smile, knowing Stelle was just joking. "But since he always charges into battle first and Hoolay targeted him specifically, he'll still need a longer period of rest."

Hearing Yunli's words, March 7th asked with concern, "Hey, Master Yunli, you fought a major battle too, right? Are you okay? I remember when you sparred with General Feixiao... um, when she accidentally kneed you hard in the stomach. I was watching, and it looked so painful..."

If Master Yanqing is still bedridden, Master Yunli must be in a similar condition, right?

Could she have secretly snuck out of the infirmary because she didn't want to stay there?

"Why is Yanqing still lying in bed while I'm already as lively as a dragon?" Yunli replied with a knowing smile, planting her hands on her hips, her small face brimming with pride and confidence. "The answer is simple."

"The little brats from the Luofu just don't have the same robust constitution as our Zhuming children!"

"Heh, then why do I see some injuries on your body?" Lumina couldn't resist puncturing Yunli's arrogance with a single, pointed remark.

"Th-th-this... doesn't this just prove that Zhuming's children are far more resilient than the Luofu's little ones?" Lumina's words left Yunli momentarily speechless.

Her chest puffed out, head held high, and hands on her hips, the arrogant and self-assured expression vanished completely.

After a moment, Yunli forced herself to continue, reluctantly following Lumina's lead.

"Yunli, get back to bed and rest properly." The moment Yunli finished speaking, Lingsha's firm, authoritative voice cut through the air, freezing the girl's expression.

"Umm... heh heh... Sister Lingsha, I understand." Under Lingsha's stern gaze, Yunli didn't dare utter a word of defiance. She shrank back, nodded, and meekly agreed.

"You two have such a close bond," Lumina observed, smiling as she glanced between Yunli and Lingsha. Her gaze settled on Lingsha's face. "Lingsha, is Jiaoqiu still stable?"

"Jiaoqiu... He's fine now, just needs a few more days of observation. I've locked him up tight."

"Otherwise, given his habit of sticking by General Feixiao's side for years, he'd definitely sneak out to wander around."

Lingsha answered truthfully, casting a curious glance at Lumina.

How did she do it?

Lingsha had examined Jiaoqiu's injuries and found them far more severe than she'd imagined.

Yet, miraculously, despite the severity of his condition, there was no physical damage to his body...

And according to Feixiao, Lumina had simply crouched down, extended her palm, and transmitted a burst of energy through the air to resolve the issue.

Truly a Divine Miracle of Abundance, isn't it?

Lingsha couldn't help but feel a pang of envy.

"Just a few simple tricks," Lumina said with a smile, her eyes sparkling with an inexplicable starlight. "If you'd like to learn, Lingsha, I'd be happy to teach you."

Was she plotting something mischievous again, something to try on Lingsha?

"Hehe... I think we should just forget about it," Lingsha said, hearing Lumina's words. She froze for a moment, then shook her head vigorously, forcing a smile to mask her embarrassment.

This is a crime punishable by death...

Lingsha usually just talked big for the sake of it, indulging in the thrill of the words. If she were actually given a chance to come into contact with Abundance, she would undoubtedly back down immediately.

Of course, passively encountering Abundance's power versus actively embracing it would be handled entirely differently. But Lingsha clearly couldn't voice this distinction directly.

"Hmm?" As if seeing through Lingsha's inner thoughts, Lumina's lips curled slightly. She winked suggestively at Lingsha, as if hinting at something.

Stelle, March 7th, and Yunli, standing nearby, naturally didn't understand Lumina's subtle gesture. But Lingsha understood perfectly, though she dared not reply openly.

After all, this was a capital offense. Lingsha wouldn't dare respond directly in such a risky situation.

"Right, how's Feixiao doing now?" Receiving no response from Lingsha, Lumina felt a slight flicker of displeasure but quickly dismissed it, continuing her questioning.

"General Feixiao? She's in remarkably good condition now."

"If I hadn't been constantly restraining her, and if Lady Lumina hadn't left Little Swarm here to keep watch, General Feixiao would have vanished completely by now."

Lingsha felt a slight headache when the topic of General Feixiao came up.

Although the general's medical examination revealed no major issues, she had literally swallowed the Scarlet Moon whole. This required prolonged observation before she could be released.

Otherwise, if she were to suddenly succumb to the Scarlet Moon's hidden symptoms while walking through the streets of the Luofu, causing her to go on a rampage, it would be a catastrophic disaster...

Lingsha's individual efforts would have been futile. Fortunately, Lady Lumina had left Little Swarm here a few days ago to watch over General Feixiao, ensuring she remained obediently confined to her sickroom.

Although Little Swarm's strength was insufficient to restrain General Feixiao by force, they represented Lady Lumina's authority. Thus, General Feixiao never considered bypassing Little Swarm to sneak away.

After all, since Lumina had sent Little Swarm, circumventing the swarm to escape would essentially mean circumventing Lumina herself.

This also saved Lingsha a great deal of trouble, and she was deeply grateful to Lumina.

She just didn't know what gift to give as thanks...

Since she couldn't think of anything suitable right now, she decided to put the matter aside for the time being.
