Xianzhou Luofu, Starskiff Jetty
"Great Emanator!"
In a courtyard, the "Xianzhou people" watched the pure white figure descend before them, their faces contorted into expressions of fervent adoration.
They dropped to their knees, pressing their foreheads to the ground, lest their gaze defile the noble Emanator.
"Is the headcount complete?" Lumina cut straight to the point upon arrival, demanding the documents she had previously ordered from the Borisin.
"Completed," the Borisin leader replied, handing Lumina a thin sheet of paper.
This Borisin was the same one Lumina had casually bestowed a Blessing upon—a Blessing barely one ten-thousandth the strength of those given to March 7th and her companions.
Lumina neither knew nor cared to know the Borisin's name.
Her sole desire was to grab this record of the Luofu Borisin clan, rush to Feixiao's residence, present it to her, and find any excuse to linger in her room.
Hmm... If by some stroke of luck, she could even manage to stay overnight, that would be even better.
Lumina thought to herself, brimming with delight, and casually glanced at the paper handed to her.
The list spanned from low-level staff to mid-to-upper management. While not as absurdly comprehensive as the Alchemy Commission during the last Sanctus Medicus invasion, it still covered an alarmingly broad range.
"Great Emanator, we've finalized our strategy," the Borisin leader announced.
"Deep within the Shackling Prison of the Xianzhou Luofu lies a Warlord, Lord Hoolay."
"In a few days, the Xianzhou Yaoqing will send envoys to inspect Lord Hoolay's condition."
"That will be our golden opportunity to rescue Lord Hoolay and launch a counterattack against the Xianzhou Luofu!"
As Lumina scrutinized the document, the Borisin leader laid out the plan they had devised together.
"Hoolay?" Lumina said, momentarily setting aside the Borisin personnel list. "Rescue Hoolay, and then what?" She asked, as if she had misheard.
"Conquer the Luofu!" the Borisin leader declared triumphantly, seemingly oblivious to the tone of Lumina's words.
"Conquer the Luofu! Conquer the Luofu! Conquer the Luofu!"
The Borisin behind him echoed the chant, their voices rising in unison for a brief moment before fading away.
"Do you even know what time it is?" Lumina asked.
"It's the Luofu's Wardance Ceremony! There are three Cloud Knight Generals on the Luofu, you know."
Though an explanation was completely unnecessary—these fools deserved to perish on their own—Lumina couldn't resist offering one. Their actions were simply too absurd.
"With you, Great Emanator, even three Xianzhou Generals would surely fall before you!" the Borisin declared confidently.
Lumina: ?
Her face once again filled with question marks.
Me? Take on three Xianzhou Generals alone? Are you serious?
Not that I couldn't... in fact, it'd be child's play. But if I were just a normal Emanator of Abundance, I'd be done for!
Where does this inexplicable confidence in the Emanators of Abundance come from?
Lumina mentally grumbled in exasperation.
Snapping back to reality, she decided not to waste her time on these fools. With a dismissive wave, she said, "Then proceed with your plan."
Lumina had initially assumed Jing Yuan hadn't noticed the Borisin's presence. But now, it was clear: Jing Yuan wasn't oblivious—these Borisin were simply too foolish to pose a threat.
He was likely too preoccupied with the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus to bother with them.
After all, something this brainless probably posed less of a threat than a drunken Xianzhou resident suddenly flying into a rage...
Shaking her head and deciding not to dwell on it further, Lumina turned to leave. Having secured what she needed, there was no point in wasting more time on these fools.
"I'm leaving. You're on your own from here."
"Yes, ma'am!" As Lumina's words faded, the courtyard once again echoed with the Borisin's idiotic chants.
Damn, what a bunch of idiots.
The unified, deafening roar only deepened Lumina's contempt.
Are they trying to make sure everyone knows they're holding a secret meeting here?
After one last scornful glance, Lumina's figure vanished from the courtyard.
And as soon as she disappeared, the fools actually began cheering.
As if their liberation was imminent...
