Chapter 180 - Chapter 179 The Summit's Emotional Tsunami

The Cosmic Balance Summit's crystal dome trembled as Kai's emerald roots burst through the floor, entangling the floating pavilions. His body had transformed into a colossal tree, with leaves shaped like tear-streaked hearts, each vein pulsing with the collective trauma of a thousand worlds. "I... can't stop absorbing," he groaned, his voice echoing through the dome. "Every unhealed wound is a root growing inside me."

Ciela gripped her silver spindle, its surface rippling with the faces of forgotten Balance Children. The trauma spirit within had awakened, and now every time she tried to soothe Kai, the spindle emitted a wave of inverted emotions—comfort became mockery, hope turned to despair. "Kai, focus on Lila's hug!" she shouted, but her own words felt like a lie as the spindle reversed her sincerity into doubt.

Xander stepped forward, his shadow patches glowing with borrowed courage. "Let me carry some of that trauma," he said, pressing his palm to Kai's trunk. But as the trauma flowed into him, his eyes turned obsidian—he was channeling too much, risking becoming the very thing he feared.

"Xander, no!" Azura cried, her blue hair igniting into 净化荆棘火. She wrapped the flames around Xander, burning away the excess trauma without harming him. "Trauma isn't a burden to bear alone—it's a thread to share."

Just then, the summit's holoscreen flared to life, displaying the twelve members of the Thorned Spindle Alliance. Each wore a mask inscribed with a different emotion: Anger, Sadness, Fear, and nine more, each holding a glowing filter. "Welcome to the Great Inversion," said the leader, a figure in a mirrored mask. "By the time we're done, every healed heart will bleed anew."

Nox slammed his staff on the ground, projecting a star map of the first Balance Child's journal. "Wait! The first Balance Child didn't forge the silver spindle from unaccepted trauma—they made it from... their own healed wounds. It's a relic of hope, not pain!"

Ciela stared at the spindle, now understanding. She raised it high, ignoring the trauma spirit's protests, and began to weave a thread from her own rainbow hair—each strand a memory of healing: Xander's first shadow patch, Azura's first controlled flame, Kai's chlorophyll tears.

"Look!" Lyra shouted, pointing to Kai's roots. Where Ciela's thread touched, the emerald vines sprouted flowers shaped like tiny silver spindles. "She's rewriting the trauma into new patterns!"

The Thorned Spindle leader snarled, activating their first filter—the Anger Inverter. Suddenly, every act of kindness at the summit became an act of aggression, every apology turned into an insult. "Feel the power of inverted emotion!"

But Ciela kept weaving, her thread now interlaced with strands from Nox's constellations, Lyra's memory flowers, Xander's shadow patches, Azura's 荆棘火,and Kai's chlorophyll. "Trauma is a thread, not a curse," she sang, and the silver spindle began to glow with the light of a thousand healed hearts.

The trauma spirit within the spindle hesitated, then merged with Ciela's thread, transforming into a pattern of thorns and flowers coiled together. As the pattern took shape, the Anger Inverter filter cracked, and the Thorned Spindle leader screamed, their mask shattering to reveal a face lined with old, unhealed scars.

Kai's roots began to recede, transforming back into a boy with leaves in his hair. "I... I see it now," he marveled. "Trauma is like a seed—it can grow thorns or flowers, depending on how we water it."

Ciela held up the silver spindle, now inscribed with the words: "Weave with the scars, not despite them." The remaining eleven filters of the Thorned Spindle Alliance flickered, their power waning.

But as the summit cheered, Ciela noticed a new symbol appearing in the stars—the same thorn-spindle logo, but with a rainbow thread weaving through it. And in her pocket, the spindle felt warm, as if whispering: "The next stitch is always in your hand."
