"Reed Richards' ability is rubber, just like Luffy."
"And he doesn't really look like a fighter either."
"If we're really talking about inheriting strength, then the final decision really should be between 'Captain' Drake and 'Gourmand' Toriko."
"Drake commands a powerful fleet of warships. Toriko possesses bizarre and fierce combat techniques."
"Both are extremely formidable."
"But considering future voyages across the sea, choosing Drake—who can summon a warship—feels like the smarter choice."
Nami rested her chin on one hand, her gaze lingering on the panel of names.
Genrou only smiled without saying a word.
As the host of the system, all he could do was showcase the abilities of the three Heroic Spirit templates.
He couldn't help Luffy make the actual choice.
"I've decided—I'm choosing Toriko!"
Luffy took a deep breath and slapped his hand firmly down on Toriko's name.
The next second, Toriko's name turned into a streak of red light that entered Luffy's body, leaving a mysterious emblem glowing on his chest.
[Ding! Monkey D. Luffy has made his choice—acquired the 'Gourmand' Toriko template. Gained Toriko's initial skill. Additional Heroic Spirit template skills can be unlocked through training and growth.]
[Note: Feeding Devil Fruits to companions can accelerate the learning progress of Heroic Spirit template skills—and may even unlock ultimate techniques!]
[Congratulations to the host: You have obtained the 'Gourmand' Toriko template and the 'Captain' Francis Drake template. You are now able to comprehend all skills from both Heroic Spirit templates.]
[Note: Although the host can comprehend all skills, whether they can be used depends on the host's own strength.]
Interesting. Luffy didn't choose Drake's powers, but I ended up acquiring them myself, Genrou thought.
Even though I've now obtained all of Drake and Toriko's skills, being able to use them depends on my own power, huh?
Too bad. If I could fully harness Toriko's abilities, dominating this world would be child's play.
Although he felt a twinge of regret, once Genrou tested his abilities and confirmed that he could indeed fully use Drake's powers, a wave of satisfaction settled in his heart.
On the other side, Luffy was also frowning slightly, quietly sensing the power now flowing within his body.
Just as he was about to try unleashing it, the surrounding space began to tremble.
In a blink, Genrou, Luffy, and Nami were transported back to their original private booth in the restaurant.
"We're… back?"
Nami blinked and looked around.
"Luffy's made his choice. Naturally, we returned."
"If you want to obtain a Heroic Spirit's power as well, Nami, I can take you into that Heroic Spirit space too."
Genrou smiled.
"I'll pass, haha…"
Nami forced a chuckle and waved her hands nervously.
Though she had temporarily become the Straw Hats' navigator due to the combination of power and Berry temptation, she still didn't trust Genrou enough to accept his power.
"Is that so? What a shame."
"Well, if you change your mind, just come find me."
Genrou shrugged indifferently.
Although Nami wasn't ready to accept a Heroic Spirit's power now, Genrou believed that once she witnessed Luffy—or others—using their Heroic Spirit abilities, she'd come around eventually.
"Eh? Nami, you're really not gonna take Genrou's power? But it's super fun!"
Luffy tilted his head, looking at her in confusion.
"I have my reasons. But you—why didn't you choose Captain Drake's power? Isn't it way more useful for navigating the sea?"
"Drake's powers are cool, for sure. But I feel like I could use Toriko's abilities way better."
"Plus, the more I eat, the stronger I get. Isn't that awesome?"
"That's exactly why you picked Toriko, isn't it…"
Nami sighed, shaking her head.
"Anyway, do you really have Toriko's power now, Luffy?"
She asked with curiosity.
"Hehehe, of course I do! Watch this!"
With a light shout, the air around Luffy trembled.
And in Nami's stunned gaze, a blazing red demon appeared behind Luffy.
"It's real?!"
Nami's jaw dropped.
"Hehehe! So this is my Red Oni? It's so cool!"
Luffy turned around, shouting excitedly.
Just then, the door to their booth opened, and the actual restaurant server walked in.
"Excuse me, customers, is there anything you nee—GH-GHOST?!"
The server's mouth dropped open, and the next second, he fainted flat on the floor.
