"Stop! Please, stop!" Betty shouted desperately.
But no one on the battlefield paid her any mind—not even Hulk. His only thought now was to swat down the annoying flying insect hovering above.
Glancing at the burn mark on his chest, Hulk growled. But within just a few breaths, the charred skin healed completely, leaving no trace.
"ROAAAR!"
With another furious bellow, Hulk charged at Tony Stark.
"Again? Seriously?" Tony muttered.
After the previous intense fight, he was nearly out of ammunition. After all, his suit could only hold so much ordinance.
Bringing his arms together, Tony activated a narrow red beam from his gauntlets.
"Let's see how you like this one, big guy."
A long red laser shot from his forearms straight at Hulk. While the chest cannon emphasized raw power, this beam was all about precision cutting.
"No way…" Tony's eyes widened.
Even though his chest blast had knocked Hulk down earlier, this precision beam didn't even pierce the green behemoth's chest. Hulk roared and charged through the laser, slamming a giant hand into Tony.
BOOM!
Tony was smacked out of the sky, crashing hard to the ground. The laser emitter module on his wrist overloaded and ejected with a puff of smoke.
The attack had failed not because the weapon was weaker—but because Hulk, driven by fury, had grown even stronger.
Frustrated, Tony snapped:
"J.A.R.V.I.S., analyze his combat power. I want to know how this guy keeps powering up mid-fight."
Zzzzt—!
A second later, the battle scanner fried itself.
"Sir, the combat scanner is destroyed. Last recorded value: 150."
Tony froze.
"Damn it, Smith! You actually installed a cap on the scanner?"
Before he could react further, Hulk lunged again, kicking hard at Tony.
Tony quickly tried to ascend, but Hulk grabbed his leg. Flames from the suit's thrusters scorched Hulk's hand, but he didn't let go.
With a flex of his monstrous strength, Hulk crushed the left-leg thruster.
Tony flailed in midair as Hulk flung him like a ragdoll.
"Ahhhh!"
Spinning and falling rapidly, Tony barely had time to brace.
That's when Smith Dole arrived.
Seeing Tony hurled through the air, Smith powered up and appeared behind him in a flash, catching him mid-fall.
"Man, I show up and find you getting your ass kicked."
Tony, still proud, scoffed:
"You got here late."
"You didn't see me pummel that brute earlier—I just let him get close for a second and—"
Smith didn't argue. He hadn't seen their battle, and honestly, without his dedicated Hulkbuster suit, Tony didn't stand much of a chance.
After setting Tony down, Smith declared:
"Leave the rest to me."
Smith had a strong interest in Hulk. Sparring with him before the Dragon Ball showdown? A perfect opportunity.
From the sidelines, Betty stared at Smith in awe.
"God's here… Bruce will be okay, right?"
Her earlier panic had faded. After all, Bruce had survived sonic cannons, missiles, even Iron Man—and hadn't even been injured.
Even Tony would've been toast without Smith stepping in.
So now, she wasn't worried Bruce would get hurt. Her only question was—could this so-called God beat him?
Meanwhile, General Ross narrowed his eyes at Smith's arrival. He had invited him once before and been turned down. Was he here because of Tony?
Ross figured that was the most likely explanation. Everyone knew Smith and Tony were tight—partying together, fighting crime together. Real buddies.
"Tony must've called him," Ross muttered.
Tony, now flying on just three functioning thrusters, landed roughly near Ross and asked:
"Anyone got any idea what that big guy's power level is?"
…
In the sky above, Smith Dole hovered in a martial arts gi and floated in front of Hulk.
"Hulk, it's my turn now."
Hearing his name, Hulk blinked in surprise. His confused expression quickly hardened as he responded with a growl:
"Hulk!"
"ROAAAAR!"
Smith launched forward and punched with full force.
BOOM!
Their fists collided with a shockwave so powerful it bent the trees around them like blades of grass in a storm.
"Haha! That's power."
"This time, I'm going all-out."
Ever since receiving Saiyan blood, Smith had craved a real fight. But there hadn't been any worthy opponents. Werewolves, vampires? He hadn't even bothered—just left them to X and Alexei.
But the Hulk? Smith had zero hesitation. It was time to brawl.
Could he lose with his 220 power level? Unlikely. And if things got bad, he still had his Great Ape form. Who's afraid of who?
BOOM!
BOOM!
BOOM!
Smith and Hulk exchanged a series of powerful blows, each one thunderous, each one shaking the surroundings.
Blonsky, watching from afar, muttered in disbelief:
"He's really that strong…"
Ross immediately barked into his radio:
"Lock onto Smith Dole. I want to know his power level!"
A nearby soldier replied:
"General, after Bruce transformed, all our scanners maxed out."
Ross snapped:
"Do the gunships have scanners onboard?"
"No, sir. But we can airlift one in right now."
"I want that scanner now. I want his readings!"
Tony, peeling open his faceplate, snarked:
"It's already over 150. What's the point? It'll just explode again."
