Chapter 267 - 267: Ants after Ants.

Time moved quickly, and before long, more than a month had passed.

During this time, Zenkichi had faced countless assassination attempts. His attackers came in all forms—mutants with dangerous abilities, elite special forces who moved with perfect coordination, even technologically advanced mercenaries from the future.

Each of these killers was an elite, the kind whose services required astronomical sums to hire. Yet, despite the costs, they kept coming, day after day, breaking into Zenkichi's villa with a single goal—to take his life.

And every time, they failed.

---

"One month has passed."

Zenkichi arrived at the military base. The place was exactly the same as before, not a single detail had changed.

Then again, what difference could a month truly make?

Facing the executives in front of him, his tone remained calm and indifferent.

"We've prepared the payment," one of the Country's high-ranking officials said nervously, "but the delivery location won't be here. It has been arranged in Hong Kong Bay."

Zenkichi's eyes narrowed slightly. "Why not hand it over here?"

"We don't know either," the executive replied quickly. "We're only following orders from above."

For a moment, silence hung in the air. Then Zenkichi let out a faint smile, though his words cut sharper than any blade.

"Do you know what I've gone through this past month?" He leaned forward slightly, his voice calm but carrying the weight of undeniable pressure. "Assassination after assassination. Tell me, were those assassins connected to you?"

The officials exchanged uneasy glances. Their hearts pounded as they scrambled for excuses.

"How could that possibly be related to us? We would never stoop to such things!"

Of course, it was a lie. They had arranged every attempt, but admitting it in front of Zenkichi would have been suicide. They knew full well that if he wanted to take action, none of them would leave this room alive.

Zenkichi's gaze sharpened. "I don't care who comes after me. To me, they're all the same—ants. But understand this—I don't want to see ants crawling around me again. I'm getting tired of crushing them."

Cold sweat dripped down the executives' backs.

"We… we will investigate thoroughly," one of them stammered quickly, forcing a strained smile. "We'll do everything we can to uncover the true culprit!"

He tried to sound convincing, but his expression betrayed him. He knew that Zenkichi already understood the truth. Otherwise, why would he have brought it up so directly?

Zenkichi gave them one last glance. "See you later."

The next moment, his figure blurred and vanished from the base.

---

Why waste time waiting for these people? Moving alone was faster, and in just a few breaths, he had already arrived at his destination—Hong Kong Bay.

The salty breeze from the sea brushed against him, carrying the scent of the ocean. The shoreline had been completely cleared, leaving the area eerily empty.

And there, standing at the edge of the coast, was a lone figure, waiting.
