Metal man watched from his hiding position and listened to the conversations. He peaked slightly around to see the members of the cunning hares approach the strongbox with a interesting looking Bangboo that wore scarf and what seemed to be a sweater.
Everyone of his targets are here walking right into his trap. Nicole Demara the leader of the cunning hares, the women with pink hair who supposedly is a cheapskate and a scam artist who steals from those she takes commissions from.
In the cunning hares alongside Nicole os her two loyal stooges. Billy the kid who appears to be some kind of fellow robot, he uses two….actually Metal doesn't exactly know what type of weapon Billy using other than it looks to be some kind of pistol or more to be exact a hand cannon.
From what Metal man has read to find any type of information about his targets on inter Knox, the individual known billy the kid is quite dangerous. Then again every member of the cunning hares are dangerous but to metal man the most dangerous ones are between Billy due to being a fellow machine, last time he underestimated someone like himself resulted in his head getting a saw blade embedded into it.
Then the last one being the shortest one among the trio who is Nicole sister from what he read, Anby Demara. Small, unassuming looking. But metal man knew she is dangerous, the way she holds herself. This women was ready for any threat that would reveal itself.
Metal man makes a hand gesture then closed a fist signaling to a group of thugs that was hiding awaiting his command.
With the signal given the group of hollow raider thugs rounded the corner from where they hid and took aim with their cross bolts at the cunning hares. "Ambush." Anby declared in her flat monotone voice already drawing her blade.
Metal man quickly drew his own saw blades preparing to join in on the ambush but faltered when all the hollow raider thugs fired their crossbows…..and missed entirely all three targets.
All ten of them missed. "Fuck" one of the hollow raider thugs exclaimed, all ten of them quickly trying to reload as fast they could. "Wow you guys have storm trooper aim!" Billy exclaimed in astonishment with his hands on his head.
"Billy the storm trooper regiment is an elite regiment. It has been confirmed that Darth Vader told his men to miss on purpose. Storm trooper having bad aim is just rebel propaganda."
"The storm troopers in rebels doesn't help your case An-"
"Ghhh Billy! Anby! Stop messing around and help me take them out! Their here for our strongbox!" Nicole shouted in exasperation as she activated her brief case changing into its weapon state.
"You got it boss!" "Sorry Nicole" Billy and Anby said at the same time with metal man getting knocked out of his stunned like state. He readied to join in only to get stopped when looking down to look at a second Bangboo that was light green, had an x over one of its eyes who is currently looking up at him
"Enh en enhe! (Denny! Give Dennys!)"
"Wh- no I'm giving you a Denny! Now piss off!" Just as metal man looked back at the battle taking place he bore witness to the sight of a slaughter. Already there was just two hollow raider thugs still standing with that number being reduced to zero at the same time with Billy shooting one of the raiders down, and Anby frying the last poor helpless sap by striking them with a bolt of lightning from her sword. "Worth every Denny those guys were." Mumbled metal man with an eye twitch but he made one more mistake for the Bangboo named Amillion heard him mention the word Denny.
"Enh en! (Denny? Spare. Denny! Please?)"
"No I don't got any Dennys for you!" Metal man reeled his foot back and punts Amillion as hard from all his frustrations reaching past their boiling point. The kick sent the little Bangboo flying who screamed out 'Enh enh!' Out loud while soaring in the air.
During that altercation Nicole on the other hand was stepping on one of the beaten hollow raiders feeling a sense of victory and pride. A smug smile grew on her face at the thought of all the money the cunning hares are going to make from this commission.
"Enheeeeee!"
"Huh?" Her smile vanished upon hearing Amillion shout making her turn to see the rotund squishy Bangboo falling from the air towards her, she quickly opened her arms and caught her little 'baby', which she wouldn't admit willingly. "Amillion? Who said you could fly?!"
"Amazing catch Nicole." "Woah that was some quick movement boss!" Both Anby and Billy rushed over to Nicole who nearly fell over when she moved quickly to catch her baby.
"Enh Enh!" Amillion points in a direction making all three of the cunning hares turn their heads sharply to where Amillion pointed, just to see metal man who just threw three saw blades all aimed at each member of the cunning hares head.
Metal man wouldn't believe it if he didn't see it. All three of his attacks failed to meet their mark, Anby moved faster than Metal man ever seen a person move for a human. Faster than even megaman has moved in base form. Anby moved infront of Billy and Nicole who had her arms briefly full with holding Amillion, Anby sword struck out deflecting each saw blade out of the way. This was enough to have metal man eyes go wide being left in shock once more. A trend that seems to be repeating itself today.
"Dude you need to learn to quit!" Anby deflection of Metal man attacks was followed up by Billy aiming both of his revolvers in a rapid fire mode. Metal man dodged the shots by Billy, running fast with his great agility. It wasn't easy for metal man from how accurate Billy shots are.
Metal man ran in a zig zag motion trying to make it more difficult for Billy to shoot him but before even Metal man can reach the fellow machine he was attacked, Anby appeared out of nowhere frim Metal man perspective. He quickly parried her first strike with his saw blade, it was difficult to pull considering the nature of his weapon not exactly meant for parrying.
His opponent seemed to know it from the look in her eyes. The look of someone who knew something you didn't want them to know.
Swing swing clang!
Anby fought ferociously against metal man forcing him back with each swing she made. Strike by strike she chipped away at his defenses leaving him no room to defend himself. This was leaving metal man frustrated immensely!
'How is this little girl making me a robot master struggle?!'
He tried to fight back when she struck out with her blade again, he moved back letting Anby over extend herself. That was when he struck slashing a saw blade in his grasp towards Anby neck.
His processors working in overdrive from the heat of battle. It wasn't right a voice sai in his head. Anby didn't seem concerned in the slightest as his weapon got closer towards her neck.
Metal man figured that out the hard way when Nicole came in from the side and parried metal man with her suit case cannon which made a loud CLANG noise. The sheer force behind the parry and not expecting it left Metal man perfectly exposed for the immediate counter attack by Nicole. She quickly aimed and fired her cannon at Metal man stomach launching him backwards into a stone wall nearly sending him on his ass.
Metal man wasn't given a chance to do anything as when he got back up Nicole already finished charging her ether cannon and fired it at him.
Metal man tried to dodge the shot. Which he did the initial shot, except what he was not expecting was the shot to expan into a radius of ether that acted like a black hole and pulled him straight into it.
'Why did the master see it fit to allow me to feel pain?'
The attacked ripped right into metal man with the gravitational force of the ether 'black hole' keeping metal stuck unable to escape and just take the attack. Once the ether attack dropped metal man staggered forward, only to be shot by Billy with some kind of charged shot from his revolvers.
Metal man was sent straight into Anby who swings her blade into metal man with an upward jump strike, lighting bursts out of her blade shocking Metal man with Anby landing from her jump. Pieces of metal and parts went flying off of him from each attack on him.
'This is bad, but I can turn this around I just need a ch-'
"Don't forget to smile!"
"It's show time!"
"Fracture."
Metal man thoughts were cut off by an omen of doom being an ether black hole once more shot at him that him in place from Nicole, taking constant ether damage. Followed up by Billy who began to fire his revolvers rapidly and move fast all around Metal man in a manner that was an impossibility
Yet the impossible was very much happening before his optics and he was just forced to take the beating. System warnings flared in his vision, his body was refusing to act at his commands. His metal body should've been able to withstand such attacks, however this is not the world he was created into.
Something metal man forgotten. Something he is now paying the price for his arrogance and lack of proper planning.
Billy ended his combo with a concentrated shot and fired completely destroying Metal man right shoulder, Metal and components along with other inner workings went flying onto the floor. The right arm flew forward from the force of the shot dealt by Billy, it bounced and rolled on the floor before stopping at where a Bangboo that was hiding.
The Bangboo wore a scarf with the numbers 01 on it.
Cleave!
Anby was the final one to unleash her strongest attack upon the severely damaged and weakened metal man, who legs were in ruins shaking looking as if they would break apart any moment. His eyes locked Anby eyes who showed no emotion behind them.
Anby did a jump spin while slashing with her blade in an upwards arc. Her sword coated in electricity that sparked around the blade, not only did her strikes did physical damages upon metal man but the electricity was highly effective at damaging his systems and inner workings due to his, well metal body that conducts electricity.
Lightning strikes crashed around metal man from bursting off Anby sword just as she came down wards repeating her same attack. The end of it having a lightning strike crash down onto metal man.
The effect was immediate with metal man crumbling to the floor hard. There was an immediate silence in the area at the lack of combat, the only sound that can be heard being the breathing from Anby and Nicole. Seeing as their opponent hasn't moved for a minute the cunning hares began to relax, Anby only slightly keeping her eye on Metal man body.
"Who was that you guys?" Asked a feminine voice that came out of the Bangboo with the scarf around its neck, the Bangboo walked its way towards the trio of hollow raiders. The Bangboo tilted it head when it stopped next to the group.
"He was one of the members part of th red fang gang manager! But he was ho match for the might of a starlight knight!" Billy exclaimed hitting a pose with his revolvers, randomly sparkle shine effects appeared around him when he hit the most epic pose.
"Billy we should double tap him." Anby mentioned while staring at metal man body, her words snapped him out of his day dream and turned to look at her in surprise.
"Wh- why? He's already ripped to shreds! No way he's still functional or functional enough to be a threat!"
"He is intact enough to come back as a undead flesh craving monster. We have to destroy the brain. It is the only choice to spare him such a fate."
"…..Anby that logic applies to zombie movies"
"The flood can still hijack for their purposes via the logic plague which can doom us-"
"Anby that's from halo! The flood don't even ex-"
Before Billy could continue he was interrupted by Nicole who during Anby and Billy conversation excitedly went towards the strong box. "Finally! Finally we have it!"
Eous would cut off Nicole from reaching the strong box and hopped atop of the vault. "Sorry to spoil your fun Nicole but we have a problem. Because of the hacker we lost our extraction data I prepared to get you all out."
"What! You mean we can't get out?! Huhhh all that trouble to get here but we're nowhere close to getting out. I can't believe this is the end." Nicole said dramatically with equally dramatic tears running down her face, she slumped down and would've laid on the floor to accept her fate but Anby caught Nicole letting her upper body rest on her.
"Damn this is so unfair…. I didn't even get a chance to have dinner with Monica! It's been a good life."
"Your feelings for her are not real."
"They are real to me Anby!"
That was the last thing Metal man heard before his systems fully shut down. He was barely functional, all he saw were static and warning messages. He didn't need to know what was broken or in critical condition, he just knew from how terrible he currently felt.
His fingers twitched on his remaining arm that remained attached still. But he couldn't move it, something inside him was broken that controlled his arms. 'Forgive everyone….Miguel…..I've achieved nothing. I-'
If there was any sign that his words have been heard he could not hear it. His vision fades to black as his systems shut down one by one.
His last prayer being the cunning hares remain trap in the hollow. No higher being heard such a prayer, they would escape from danger.
Leaving behind a broken pile of metal in the hole.
