Prolouge

The primitive world shales as the roar of a colossal beast erupts, sending thousands within the vicinity to flee, their instincts warning of danger. The titan is reptilian in origin, with piercing yellow eyes, spikes running down its spine, and claws that can tear metal into scrap. Normally, this giant would be within the depths, basking within the lull of the ocean tides and admiring the song of the whales. Yet before it stands a contender to its throne, the vile create that had released such a horrid screech that irked its ear holes. The insectoid hovers in the air, its mighty wings beneath its elytra kicking up winds strong enough to form waves. Its antennae twitch in agitation while the beady eyes gaze at its target. The tribal people by the shore watch as the awesome[1] creatures, like divine conquerors, stare each other down.

First to lose its patience and itching to become the next ruler, the beetle shrieks, the soundwaves an agonizing blow to the Gojira[2]'s senses. While the massive lizard becomes disorientated, the beetle's abdomen points out from behind it. A torrent of a liquid rushes out like a geyser, landing squarely at the eyes of the Gojira. An agonized roar escapes its mouth as its eyes sizzle in agitation.

As if the pained cry's of the gojira was a war horn, a civil war erupted between the primative inhabitants. Spears rip flesh as the once harmonious group divided into army's for the titans. The titan beetle meanwhile latches onto the gojira, its mandibles attempting to strike at tender flesh. Yet opposite to its expectations, the mandibles scrape across only scales, leaving only scratch marks on the otherwise unharmed giant. Claws clamp down upon the intruding beetle as the blinded sea dweller hurls it away.

Buzzing emits once more in the area as the beetle stabilizes itself in the air. Now provoked beyond doubt by the bug that dares to challenge it, The scales on the Gojira's back begins to glow, one by one, until finally reaching the end of the tail. Another roar escapes the beast, but very different from the previous two. like a volcano, plasma erupts from the maw of the behemoth as its cry of anger and simmering rage is made physical. The laser like shot pierces the sky in an arc as the Titan beetle beats its feeble wings with all of its might to avoid the blast. But alas, with a heart wrenching shriek, the insect is turned to ash, forever to reside within the great deep, home of the victor.

The plasma breath continued on, reaching the shore line, turning sand to glass and then molten slag, along with the humans that had dared stay to fight, disillusioned on being par with the gods themselves. Cries of anguish ring more as the uncaring flame traveled before the Gojira had decided it was enough. A war cry of victory signals the defeat of the challenger, only to be interrupted by another roar of an apex. From the towering coastal trees arrives three gargantuan gorillas, each hooting and beating their chests at the lone Gojira.

Not to be outdone, the reptile emits a low frequency growl as it's tail swishes within the water, the massive appendage flooding the already drenched coast. Two more Gojira erupt from the seas, receiving the call for reinforcement. The factions soon collide, with fist hitting scale, and jaws biting arms. The ground beneath the apes fractured as the seas bubbled. Yet just as quickly as the war started, it soon came to an abrupt end. A slow chill creeping into the bones of the fighting creatures was all the warning they had before the world froze over into a frozen wasteland. The only sign of their existence is the frozen sculpture that paints a grotesque beauty of war between monsters. Yet the next gen lives on, deep within the world, where fated rivals slumber, waiting for the day they are destined to clash.

[1] In this case, awesome means that something is both feared and revered, like a king as he commands his subjects

[2] Apparently 'Gojira' is just the fancier way of saying whale gorilla. food for thought
