Cough, cough!
Damn it… why did a whole pack of wolves come at me all at once? I'm pissed!
I took a few deep breaths to calm myself.
Hooof... I need to move fast. Being soaked in this jungle just makes things worse.
Come on, Arya… you're a warrior now. You can't lose your spirit.
First, I need to figure out where I am.
I looked around. No trace of my earlier path — no marks on trees, nothing.
Alright, let's head back to the river… maybe I can find the trail again.
Luckily, before the wolves showed up, I had tied a sturdy root around my sword handle so I wouldn't lose it.
At least I still have my weapon.
I started walking, my mind racing — thinking about ambushes, team fights, and what to do if I got caught again.
I need to sharpen my hearing... and maybe find something to throw, like rocks.
That became my new training: throwing rocks at random targets I found on the way.
Bit by bit, I improved. Now I could hit dead-on from 20 meters.
Maybe it's time to try aiming at bugs on trees…
Hitting something small and slippery isn't easy — but hey, training is training.
Night fell. I climbed a tall tree and built a little nest out of leaves to rest in.
In the middle of the night, a rustling sound woke me.
Some damn boar was gnawing at the roots of the very tree I was sleeping on!
Why do they always have to mess with my sleep?
And this tree, of all trees?
I snapped off a strong branch, reinforced it, and threw it with all my strength.
Crack! Its skull split open.
Now I needed a new place to sleep.
That sound and the blood might attract other creatures, and I'm not looking for trouble.
I started walking again, not knowing where I was going. I just kept moving…
Then I spotted something: a large stone structure in the distance.
A castle? Maybe a temple? Something old, big, and made of stone.
This meant civilization.
I wasn't in some prehistoric dinosaur age — I wasn't the only human here.
My heart was pounding as I ran toward it.
Maybe someone was there. Maybe I could talk to them.
When I got close, I saw an ancient temple covered in cobwebs.
Half of my excitement vanished… but my curiosity stayed.
The inside was dark, filled with the smell of dust and old stone.
There were a few unlit torches — I grabbed one and lit it.
In the torchlight, I saw cracks in the walls and strange carvings.
Some odd script… familiar, but also unfamiliar.
Step by step, I approached a large stone cube in the center, covered in the same script.
Then it hit me — I remembered where I'd seen it before.
In strange YouTube videos about a wild world:
A world full of freedom and mystery.
A place where the good guys might not be so good, and the bad ones…
Where people had bizarre, powerful abilities.
A world made of 90% ocean.
These writings…
This world…
It's One Piece.
And this thing — I think they call it a Poneglyph.
Markings that may contain lost history or the location of powerful weapons.
So this isn't just some jungle — it's an island.
A place that has, or once had, a civilization.
Now I know — I'm not alone.
You can't imagine the weight that just lifted off me.
Just thinking I might be the last human alive was driving me nuts.
What, you think I'm an otaku who knows everything from anime? Nope.
If that were true, I'd be on vacation in my room — not stuck in a wet jungle.
I don't know much about One Piece,
But one thing's clear now:
This isn't just a jungle.
It's a massive island.
Right now, I just need to rest — and see what secrets this temple has in store for me tomorrow.
