From afar, the eyes behind the spatial rift appeared dazzling and magnificent.
But for Momoshiki, standing mere inches away, it was a completely different sight!
The giant eye was made up of countless pupils, rotating like a living hive!
Even he felt a chill run down his spine when those eyes stared at him.
"Don't think big eyes can scare me!" Momoshiki roared.
But no matter how fierce he tried to sound, his words lacked conviction.
"Chimei and Moryo, perish in the light of the sun!" Toneri tore open the spatial rift wider; the giant Tenseigan behind it seemed as if it wanted to squeeze through, unleashing countless golden rays of light.
Momoshiki instinctively fired a beam of light to clash with the golden rays.
However, those golden rays were like intangible ghosts, passing straight through his beam and entering his body while Momoshiki looked on in shock.
There was no expected piercing or explosion. Momoshiki felt his body and sneered mockingly, "This is your attack? Doesn't even hurt..."
Just as he was speaking, Momoshiki suddenly felt a tickle in his throat. Unable to help himself, he coughed once. This cough spat out a long, smooth, white leg directly from his throat!
It didn't appear out of nowhere—it was real flesh connected to the inside of his throat!
Momoshiki's eyes widened, screaming, he snapped off the long leg. But before he could calm down, a head suddenly grew on his neck!
Momoshiki was practically going mad, "What is this? Heresy! This is pure evil heresy!"
His second head also screamed, "Who are you? How did you grow on me?"
If Naruto's previous natural energy merely made him uncomfortable, the chakra-infused energy in these golden rays would cause him to mutate!
Toneri smiled, "Never heard of radiation mutation?"
Of course, this was just him bluffing Momoshiki. In truth, he was using chakra to make Momoshiki lose control of his body, triggering genetic mutations!
More accurately, it meant activating some of Momoshiki's cells, bringing them back to life!
"Radiation?" Momoshiki was taken aback. He naturally knew what radiation was, but mutation didn't happen this fast, did it?
As they spoke, a tail grew out from behind him, but instead of appearing at the tailbone area, it sprouted from the center of his buttocks!
He coldly added, "This cursed power is extremely rare even in the universe. Seems like the title of Chimei and Moryo suits you best after all."
Everyone outside the arena nodded silently. This ability was truly terrifying!
Especially what Momoshiki was doing—pruning his overgrowth—it filled them with heartfelt fear!
Toneri closed his eyes. "It's because you're too close to the sun. If you revere the light from afar like a flower does, it will nourish you. But come too close and defile it, and your eyes will burn."
Momoshiki's eyes twitched violently. "Are you saying the sun is yourself?"
Toneri slightly shook his head. "I am merely the moon reflecting the sun's light. If you are willing to listen to my teachings, there's a place for you among the stars!"
"Fool! Madman!"
Momoshiki cursed as he finally removed all the extra limbs clinging to his body.
"If you won't cherish this final chance, don't blame me!" Toneri waved his hand, sending countless golden beams of light toward Momoshiki.
Sensing the terrifying aura within those beams, Momoshiki regretted his previous 'playfulness'.
If he hadn't been focused on venting his anger on Toneri, this battle would have ended already!
"Still got time to turn this around!"
[Time Freezing!]
After freezing the surrounding time, Momoshiki quickly flew in front of Toneri.
However, before he could even act, Toneri kicked him away with a whip kick!
Momoshiki stopped his backward flight, hovering in the air as he stared in disbelief at his opponent. "You—you can actually move?"
Toneri calmly replied, "I've already connected with the Great Tenseigan. If you want to time-stop me, try stopping the Great Tenseigan first!"
"In other words, I must shut down those spatial rifts?" Momoshiki muttered to himself, but just looking at the Great Tenseigan that had already squeezed halfway into this space made his scalp tingle.
To close the spatial rifts, he would first have to push this big eyeball back to the Moon—was this telling him he wasn't mutating fast enough already?
Toneri wouldn't give him time to strategize, flying toward Momoshiki and delivering another kick.
Momoshiki instinctively countered with a whip kick of his own.
His current strength surpassed Toneri's, and he kicked him away effortlessly!
But before he could even feel relieved, his right leg suddenly swelled up, looking as if an elephant's leg had been attached to it!
Momoshiki barely maintained his balance, eyes wide. "Do you also have radiation?"
Toneri shrugged. "You never asked me?"
Seeing Toneri charging toward him again, Momoshiki dared not let him get close, so he severed his right leg while simultaneously launching a long-range attack to block his opponent.
"Get back! Don't come any closer!"
Watching Momoshiki scream hysterically on the Arena Stage, Naruto sighed, "This guy's a goner!"
Sasuke's face showed some relief. "Never thought that Toneri had such a bizarre technique. Good thing I didn't push him to the brink back then!"
Just thinking about it was terrifying enough!
Neji muttered, "This ability seems somewhat similar to what our sensei mentioned about yao monsters (ancient mystical creatures)!"
"Yao monsters!" Sasuke repeated the term.
Naruto quickly asked, "Then is there any possibility of resisting mutation?"
"There is!" Neji slightly nodded. "If one can perfectly control every single cell within their body, in theory, one can become immune to mutation!"
"Perfectly control every cell in your body?" Naruto's mouth twitched. "How is that even possible?"
Neji clenched his fist. "No one says it's easy, but if it's our sensei, I'm sure he can do it!"
"Combining the path of the indigenous with chakra, and developing it to this extent!" Isshiki's eyes showed shock, though he quickly recovered his composure. "Never thought one of the Main Family's higher-ranking warriors would lose to a Branch Family member who's been living outside!"
He didn't count himself in that category. He had been caught off guard, not like Momoshiki who got crushed in front of everyone!
"Still, this is better. If he wins, I won't have to reveal myself prematurely."
On the arena stage, Momoshiki's body was totally out of control!
Every body part had a mind of its own!
Right hand: "Oh no! My finger's bleeding!"
Left hand: "Right Sis, come over here so Brother can comfort you!"
Ass: "You better treat me right from now on!"
Antler: "I'm breaking away! This place is uninhabitable!"
"Aaaaaaah!" Momoshiki finally lost it completely. "I'm done! You win! Just get these annoying things out of me already!"
