But now, he'd fallen to the point of fighting on the same battlefield as Senpai's disciple—and worse, he wasn't even sure he could beat him!

Naruto hadn't realized he'd just given himself away and immediately launched ten Wind Release: Rasenshurikens!
He fired one with his own hand, and each of his nine tails launched one as well!
This overwhelming attack made Kakashi's scalp crawl. He fled across the ground with his real body while a Lightning Release Shadow Clone slipped underground.
Knowing the Sage Mode has powerful sensory abilities, he naturally dared not use shadow clones to distract attention.
Above ground, each Rasenshuriken explosion was like hundreds of bombs detonating simultaneously, forcing Kakashi into a desperate escape.
Still, while fleeing, he couldn't help turning back and aiming Kamui at Naruto for one shot.
Naruto sidestepped to dodge the space distortion, then launched another ten Rasenshurikens!
In an instant, the entire arena was filled with the deafening thunder of explosions.

Just then, he suddenly noticed something odd about one of the spinning shurikens.
"Could it be Naruto's clone? He still hasn't given up on that idea!"
Kakashi steeled himself and turned to flee, deliberately exposing his back to Naruto.
Sure enough, the moment Naruto spotted Kakashi's "weakness," one of the spiraling shurikens transformed into his image and suddenly accelerated, rushing behind Kakashi to launch a deadly attack—[Spinning Shuriken]!
Taking advantage of Naruto's lowered guard, the Lightning Release clone hiding underground burst out suddenly and stabbed him straight in the butt—[Lightning Cutter: One Thousand Years of Death]!

Instantly, two screams echoed across the arena.
The audience from other arenas instinctively looked over and shuddered in unison.
What personal vendetta do these two have? That was brutal!
On the arena stage, Naruto crouched over with his butt in the air, glaring at Kakashi. "Did you really have to use such a brutal [Lightning Cutter: One Thousand Years of Death]?"
Kakashi grimaced in pain. "You did the same thing! Did you really have to go so hard with the spiral?"
Down below the arena, Rin found herself in a dilemma—if Kakashi later asked her to help heal him, should she or shouldn't she?

Meanwhile, in a desolate world.
Jigen sat lazily on his seat, resting his chin in one hand. "Tell me what's going on."
Black Zetsu flattered, "Lord Isshiki, those ninja recently held a World's Strongest Ninja Tournament!"
Jigen tilted his head slightly. "What does that have to do with me anyway?"
"Hehe," Black Zetsu grinned. "During the tournament, I found two individuals who I'm sure you'll find interesting!" As he spoke, Black Zetsu activated the projection in his hand.
In an instant, projections of Momoshiki and Kinshiki appeared in midair.
Jigen straightened his posture, his eyes narrowing. "Two Otsutsuki?!"
Black Zetsu nodded repeatedly. "The short one is called Momo otsutsuki, and the tall one is Kinshiki otsutsuki!"
Jigen's expression darkened. "In theory, there should still be more than ten years before the clan initiates its scouting mission. Why have they appeared early?"
Seeing Jigen fall into contemplation, Black Zetsu carefully asked, "Lord Isshiki, should we take any countermeasures?"
Jigen lightly tapped his fingers on the armrest, pondering. "Their team seems to be led primarily by Momo otsutsuki. However, his appearance still seems quite young—he's likely one of the newly emerged advanced warriors within the past millennium!"
"This pairing might be sufficient for conducting rituals on an average planet, but this planet's level of danger far exceeds what these inexperienced younglings can handle!"
He hadn't forgotten the crushing defeat he'd suffered at the hands of Hagoromo's true successor!
Looking at Black Zetsu, he continued, "If I recall correctly, you said you escaped while Shimaseki Seiki was sealing away Urashiki otsutsuki?"
Black Zetsu nodded repeatedly. "Shimaseki underestimated the power of the otsutsuki clan. I escaped while he was fully focused on sealing Urashiki otsutsuki!"
"Fully focused? You've seen his full strength?" Jigen mocked. "That guy's power is beyond your comprehension!"
Black Zetsu thought to himself, even Isshiki fears him that much!
"Those two brats won't fare well if they think this is just an ordinary star and slam right into it!" Jigen stood up and twisted his neck. "Things are about to get a lot more interesting. I think I'll go enjoy a little time among humans too!"
Black Zetsu said with concern, "But what about your body..."
Jigen waved it off casually. "This body has already had its day anyway. Before I switch bodies, I might as well go out with a bang. Bring them back to guard me during the process!"
Black Zetsu still looked worried. "What if those two Otsutsuki take advantage of the moment while you're changing bodies?"
Jigen replied, "I haven't been removed from the clan yet. He wouldn't dare cross me like that!"
