It was a moment nobody could even imagine going to happen again, that in the daytime a shooting would occur in the middle of the city… and officers died. Almost like a hallucination, almost like a bad dream as the first responders arrived as dozens of calls came in about a shooting involving officers, and when they arrived at the scene what they saw was just… brutal and horrifying.
Dozens of bullet shells, and most importantly the police car… and with one look everybody could tell that there was no way anybody survived it, no… there wasn't even a chance to survive it.
Bulletholes spread across the driver and passenger seat… but some of the officers were lucky… lucky that they weren't the first responders, the ones that opened the doors, and saw what would stick with them for their whole life.
