"Hiss... it's Ifrit. The Flame Giant!"
Running over together with Eren and Kaval, Cabal stared in shock at the massive figure rising once more from the forest.
"Indeed. I was wondering why the name 'Shizue Izawa' sounded so familiar," Eren said. "Isn't she the Ruler of Exploding Flames?"
"Ruler of Exploding Flames?!"
"That hero from fifty years ago, renowned worldwide. The strongest spirit user who controlled the Flame Giant Ifrit."
"That legendary existence!"
"How could someone like that appear here?!"
As Eren and her two companions spoke over one another, Rimuru quietly listened. His understanding of Ifrit-and of Shizue Izawa-grew clearer by the second.
Even so, he never believed Shirou Emiya would lose.
With Great Sage, Rimuru had developed an almost instinctive sense for judging an enemy's strength. An inexplicable certainty.
Because of that, he knew very well that the Flame Elemental, Ifrit the Flame Giant, was no match for Shirou Emiya.
Up to now, Rimuru had yet to encounter an enemy who could truly contend with him.
"ARRRGGHHH!"
Ifrit floated up from the forest, his body radiating a scorching heat that caused nearby plants to combust on their own. The roar he let out carried both pain and fury at having been struck.
With a violent wave of his arm, three flaming lizards were summoned. They soared through the air, circling as if waiting for the right moment to strike Shirou Emiya.
"A familiar summon, huh?"
Seeing through Ifrit's intentions instantly, Shirou Emiya gripped the red spear in his hand and charged forward.
The three flaming lizards responded immediately. Gliding through the air, they opened their maws and spewed torrents of fire, launching a coordinated attack toward him.
Faced with the overwhelming flames, Shirou Emiya did not take them head-on.

The sudden change in direction caught it completely off guard.
Before it could react, Shirou Emiya struck its vital point.
The third flaming lizard immediately pulled back, widening the distance. It clearly feared Shirou Emiya repeating the same maneuver and closing in again in an instant.
But Shirou Emiya was not someone who would be stopped by such caution.
As his body descended, he snapped his arm forward and threw the spear.
The crimson spear, filled with destructive magic, tore through the air. It broke the sound barrier in an instant and pierced cleanly through the head of the final flaming lizard.
Just like that, all three familiars summoned by Ifrit were annihilated.
"Amazing!"
"As expected of Senior Shirou!"
"That's insane!"
Eren and her two companions couldn't help but shout in excitement.

Everything clicked instantly in Shirou Emiya's mind.
But there was no room to retreat.
The magic circle beneath him had already fully activated.
Terrifying flames surged upward.
"Flaming Blazing Hell Array!"
Ifrit's gender-neutral voice rang out.
At that moment, Shirou Emiya raised his left hand.

The shield materialized instantly, covering the ground beneath him and blocking the first wave of flames erupting from below.
At the same time, Shirou Emiya summoned Rule Breaker: All Evils of the World in his right hand.

Amid the stunned cries of Eren, Cabal, Kaval, and Rimuru, Shirou Emiya shattered the trap before him.
He burst forward once more.
"You scared me to death!"
Seeing Shirou Emiya emerge safely, Eren collapsed onto the ground, her strength giving out all at once.
Cabal and Kaval stood beside her, their clothes soaked through with sweat. Though they didn't fall, their expressions were just as strained.
What had just happened was too terrifying.
They truly thought Shirou Emiya had fallen into the trap.
That he was about to die right there.
After all, his opponent was Ifrit-a legendary existence burned into their memories.
On the other side, Rimuru was also drenched in cold sweat.
He didn't know about Shirou Emiya's fire immunity.
For a moment, he had genuinely been terrified.
Even though Shirou Emiya was stronger, Rimuru had seen plenty of stories in his previous life where the weak overcame the strong. Traps like the one Ifrit used were practically textbook methods for a protagonist's counterattack.
Unfortunately-
The protagonist of this story wasn't Ifrit.
It was Shirou Emiya.
