"Hiss, this is incredible."
Following Rigurd through the town still under construction, Eren and her three companions constantly scanned their surroundings. To be honest, when Shirou Emiya led them to this monster settlement, their hearts had skipped a beat.
This place didn't look like a human settlement at all.
If not for their trust in Shirou Emiya, Eren and the others would have questioned him on the spot. But they didn't. After all, if Shirou Emiya truly meant them harm, there would have been no reason to save them twice.
As for Shizue Izawa, despite her doubts, she naturally raised no objections. At the moment, her interest was focused entirely on the "he" Shirou Emiya had mentioned earlier.
"Mr. Rigurd," Eren asked, unable to hide her surprise, "are those your soldiers? They're incredibly strong."
Her gaze was fixed on the neatly aligned goblin formation ahead. Their movements were sharp, coordinated, and filled with pressure. Even their training strikes carried weight.
Such a unit could not be compared to ordinary human soldiers.
Even elite troops would fall short.
"Hahaha," Rigurd laughed proudly. "These children are what they are today thanks to Lord Emiya's training."
After being named by Rimuru, every goblin here had become a named monster and evolved. Ordinary goblins had turned into Hobgoblins and Goblinas, surpassing common monsters by a wide margin.
Their raw physical strength alone ranged between D and C rank.
Some elites-such as Gobta and Rigur-were already close to B rank.
And that was only their bodies.
Under Shirou Emiya's training, these goblins had mastered proper swordsmanship and learned how to efficiently use their entire bodies. Their actual combat capability had long since stabilized at C-rank monster level.
Once they were equipped with armor and weapons forged by Kaijin, their strength would only grow more terrifying.
Combined with the formation-based tactics taught by Shirou Emiya, a handful of goblin soldiers could reliably take down B-rank monsters.
That was how the surrounding region remained secure.
This level of force surpassed even the elite troops of most kingdoms.
"Eh? Senior Shirou trained them?"
Eren and the others finally understood.
They were all well aware of Shirou Emiya's teaching ability. During their previous exploration of the Jura Forest, his guidance had significantly improved their strength.
The results were undeniable.
"That's right," Rigurd continued. "This town exists because of Lord Rimuru and Lord Shirou Emiya."
"To us, Lord Emiya's presence is no different from a king."
"We never question his orders."
Hearing this, Eren and her companions grew even more confused. Shirou Emiya had only been in the Jura Forest for two or three weeks.
Yet he had already established such authority.
And helped build a town like this.
With these thoughts lingering in their minds, Eren and her companions accepted Rigurd's hospitality and devoured the grilled meat placed before them.
"Yo, Rimuru! I found your real fellow countryman!"
The door burst open before Shirou Emiya even stepped inside, his voice echoing through the room.
In the next instant, a blue figure shot toward him.
"My fellow countryman?! Really?!"
"Of course," Shirou Emiya replied. "You think I'd lie about something like that?"
Catching the airborne Rimuru, Shirou Emiya casually placed him on his shoulder.
Ever since they had shared their circumstances, Rimuru knew that despite Shirou Emiya's name, he was not from the same Japan. Shirou Emiya came from a different Earth entirely-another world altogether.
They were close friends.
But that wasn't the same as meeting someone from home.
So when Shirou Emiya said he had found a true compatriot, Rimuru couldn't contain himself.
Carrying Rimuru, Shirou Emiya headed toward the room he had earlier asked Rigurd to prepare.
"Her name is Shizue Izawa," Shirou Emiya said as they walked. "In this world, she goes by Shizu."
"She came with the three friends I mentioned before. When she heard my name, she probably mistook me for someone like you and revealed hers."
"I had Rigurd entertain them, then came straight to tell you."
"How about it?" Shirou Emiya added. "I treat you pretty well, don't I?"
"You're way too good to me, Shirou!"
Rimuru shouted excitedly as he hopped onto Shirou Emiya's head. His anticipation was obvious.
"That's the place."
Seeing Rigurd standing outside, Shirou Emiya quickened his pace. Before they even reached the door, raised voices drifted out.
"Hey! That meat is mine!"
"First come, first served. If you're slow, that's your problem!"
"As expected of Big Brother. He really doesn't leave anything for others."
Shirou Emiya rubbed his forehead.
He genuinely didn't know what to do with these three.
It was embarrassing.
"I said," he snapped as he pushed the door open, "can you three be a little quieter when you're eating?!"
Inside, the trio froze with mouths full.
Instantly, their eating became noticeably more restrained.
After all, Shirou Emiya had scolded them more than once over this exact issue.
"Senior Shirou!"
"Hahaha, sorry, Senior. We were just too hungry."
"That's right, that's right!"
"Your teachings are carved into our hearts!"
Listening to the shameless flattery, Shirou Emiya waved his hand and decided not to bother with them anymore.
Then his gaze shifted.
Shizue Izawa sat nearby, quietly eating while wearing her mask.
"Yo," Shirou Emiya said casually. "This is the 'he' I mentioned earlier."
With that, he grabbed Rimuru and tossed him toward her.
"Eh?!"
Shizue instinctively caught him.
The two locked eyes.
"Could this be... the monster lord here?" Cabal asked carefully. "Lord Rimuru the Slime?"
After seeing the goblins' strength outside, Cabal had chatted with Rigurd and learned the truth. The ruler of this place was not some terrifying demon lord.
It was a slime.
Even so, a monster lord was still a monster lord. Not someone they could afford to provoke.
"That's right," Rimuru replied cheerfully. "I'm the monster lord here."
"Rimuru Tempest."
"But don't worry," he added. "I'm not an evil slime, you know."
"Pfft-"
Shizue Izawa couldn't help laughing.
That line.
She knew it.
It was a famous phrase from a certain game her students used to talk about. A game that hadn't even existed yet when she was summoned to this world.
In that instant, everything clicked.
The slime in her arms was indeed from the same place as her.
Another person from her world.
Another reincarnator.
