----------------------------------------------------------
Dragons are colossal creatures, capable of making the earth tremble with a mere twitch of a foot. However, when the white dragon flapped its wings and flew before Tiamat, it appeared remarkably tiny. Well... if one had to compare, it was like the size difference between a human and an ant.
"The size difference is truly immense," Asher couldn't help but grumble inwardly, looking at the creature before him. When Vortigern first appeared on earth, he brought an intense sense of pressure, but the pressure emanating from the Progenitor Goddess before him was more terrifying than any being Asher had ever faced. He hadn't even felt such pressure from any other deity.
"Why can you see me?" Asher asked Tiamat. Despite feeling reverence and a hint of fear, he couldn't just float there in front of Tiamat without speaking, could he?
"Aaaa(I don't know, a familiar feeling)" A familiar feeling? Asher was startled. Speaking of which, in Mesopotamian mythology, Tiamat seemed to be a giant dragon with a dragon-like body. However, while Tiamat had the appearance of a dragon, her essence was divine.
She felt a familiar sensation, probably because he was currently in dragon form and also possessed divinity? Or had she already realized that this beautiful dream was created by him?
"Aaaa (Are you afraid of me?)" The pleasant voice resonated in his ears again. Tiamat's clear eyes reflected the white dragon's form. Her mouth slightly parted, and her voice softly rang out again: "Aaa (Why?)" It sounded as if it were filled with unease.
"You've misunderstood, I'm not afraid of you, I just hold you in awe!" Asher immediately reacted, replying instantly, "Under normal circumstances, everyone would hold you in awe, wouldn't they?" Tiamat tilted her head slightly, "Aaaaa (Mother... and child?)" Was she trying to imply a child's attitude towards its mother? "Hmm... although it's a little different, it should be roughly the same meaning," the white dragon made a gesture similar to a human resting their chin in their hand, then nodded gently, "Yes, exactly."
"Aaaa (Are you sleepy?)" "What do you mean?" Asher asked.
"Aaaa (It's time to sleep)" Asher looked up at the gloomy sky, where dark clouds covered everything, with only a few cracks allowing a hint of light to peek through. It seemed like a good time to sleep.
"Then I won't disturb you. Have a good dream, Tiamat," Asher said, politely bowing his head slightly. Although he wasn't sure if continuing to sleep within a beautiful dream would lead to a dream within a dream scenario.
"Aaa (Are you leaving?)" "I just need to stay on the ground. I can't keep flying in the sky, can I? It's exhausting," Asher said, pointing at his wings.
"Aaaa (You can sleep on my head)" Asher's eyelids twitched slightly, and he quickly shook his head. Even if he had a hundred times the courage, he wouldn't dare to sleep on Tiamat's head. Wasn't that disrespectful to a deity? ...Although he didn't believe in gods, for some reason, he still held reverence for this Progenitor Goddess before him.
"That's it, I'll stay on the ground and won't run around.
You can rest assured and sleep." After the white dragon finished speaking, it flapped its wings, intending to leave. But at that moment, the previously calm sea suddenly churned with huge waves. A tsunami swept down, pushing the white dragon, who was trying to fly away, back towards Tiamat. The white dragon quickly shook its body, like a cat fresh from a bath, spinning rapidly like a top to shake off the seawater. Its black and white dragon scales shone with an alluring luster even under the dim sky. Did Tiamat have something else in mind? After shaking off the water, Asher couldn't help but look at Tiamat, who had prevented him from flying back to the ground.
"Aaaaa(Don't go, sleep here)" This was truly a bit much to ask. He couldn't possibly fly in the sky all day, could he? Asher shook his head, feeling a bit depressed. Life is hard, sighs the white dragon. After a moment of silence, Asher tried his best to show what he thought was a good smile and said, "I won't leave, I'm just resting on the ground. You saw me earlier, didn't you?" Asher had thought it was a hallucination when Tiamat turned her head earlier, but now, he realized that she had probably discovered him back then.
"Aaaaaa(Stay)" Faced with Tiamat's request, Asher finally had to nod and say, "I understand, I'll stay here. You can rest assured and sleep." Tiamat looked at the white dragon curiously for a few moments, then reached out and gently stroked the white dragon's head.
"Aaa(Good child)"
It must be said, even though the other party was a Progenitor Goddess, this action made Asher feel incredibly embarrassed. Fortunately, the white dragon couldn't show a blush. It merely awkwardly avoided Tiamat's stroking hand and slightly raised its proud dragon head: "I am not your child."
"Aaa (Be good, don't fuss)" Asher: "..." Does she see me as a rebellious child?
At this moment, Asher suddenly noticed that the gigantic creature before him was slowly shrinking, appearing much smaller than before. She covered her mouth and let out a tiny yawn, then her eyes kept closing and reopening, as if she didn't want to fall asleep so quickly.
"Don't worry, I'm here," Asher said, smiling at the sight.
"Aaaaa(Aren't you sleeping?)"
"Hmm... I'll sleep after you fall asleep," Asher said, looking down at the shimmering sea below. Even if he really wanted to sleep, he couldn't just float in mid-air. But Tiamat, though seemingly simple, was not foolish. She immediately understood Asher's thoughts and opened her arms to him.
"Aaaa (You can rest well in my embrace)" Asher was stunned, and his gaze met hers for a moment. Only then did he snap out of it and immediately shook his head, but before he could refuse, a pillar of water from the ocean below struck Asher from behind, gently pushing the white dragon towards Tiamat.
"Aaaaaaa(Release it, Mother will protect you)" Tiamat spoke again. Clearly, she thought Asher had transformed into a white dragon to protect himself. Under the gaze of those red cross-shaped pupils, Asher had no choice but to dispel his dragon transformation, appearing quite disheveled.
This was understandable; suddenly being blasted towards Tiamat by a water pillar, and then having her cradle him like a child, stroking his head and rubbing his face anyone would feel embarrassed. Asher looked up at Tiamat's face; her expression was completely enveloped in happiness, looking more like a gentle mother than a Progenitor Goddess.
Tiamat extended a soft, boneless hand, stroking Asher's face while softly murmuring something, as if coaxing a child to sleep. This was truly embarrassing... Asher only wished Tiamat would fall asleep quickly so he could escape this embrace filled with maternal love.
Wait a minute... As if something had just occurred to him, Asher's eyes suddenly widened slightly, and he had a very bad feeling. Am I going to have to sleep with her until Merlin comes to save me...?
