"But… if you want me right now, we can make it happen—I can book another room and keep you up until morning."
That wicked grin of his could melt the spine of any sane woman. For a second, I froze, because earlier he swore this wasn't just about sex for him.
My laugh came out painted with sarcasm, but judging by the way his eyes lit up, the idiot handsome man in front of me clearly missed the point. If anything, he looked more thrilled.
"Okay, Nicholas Knight… impress me. Book a room and keep me up all night," I challenged, daring him even if I knew that I would not win. But who knows? Maybe luck would be on my side tonight.
He shot up from his chair so fast I almost laughed again, fishing his phone out of his pocket like a man chasing a metered taxi. "Are you going to change, or are you fine in your pajamas?"
The heck? Why care what I'm wearing when he's going to tear it off anyway? Still, I decided to play along.
