Chapter 213 - Chapter 213: Do Me a Favor

It was said that he was a likely contender for the next position of Speaker.

"Hello, Secretary Pan," Cai Yue'er greeted indifferently. Shrek Academy had never shown much warmth toward the Federation.

Pan Wen smiled. "Elder Cai, here's the situation. To promote communication between both sides, your academy has been assigned to the Star Luo—an ocean-class cruise ship owned by the Star Luo Empire on the Star Luo Continent. Joining you on this journey are members of the Star Luo Royal Academy, who previously visited the mainland for an exchange. They're hoping to spar and engage with your students over the long voyage back to Star Luo."

"Oh? Is this the same academy that wanted to exchange with us earlier and got rejected?"

The moment those words left her lips, the atmosphere turned a little awkward.

Pan Wen, a seasoned politician, quickly laughed it off. "Yes, precisely. Your academy's schedule didn't align last time. This time, being on the same ship offers a great opportunity to connect."

"Hmm." Thankfully, Cai Yue'er didn't press further and simply nodded.

Pan Wen gestured. "Very well, Elder Cai. Please follow me. I'll personally escort you and Shrek Academy's distinguished students aboard."

With the Secretary-General of the Federation leading them, Shrek Academy was being shown considerable respect.

Truthfully, Pan Wen himself felt a certain helplessness. He knew Shrek Academy's status on the continent as well as anyone. The academy had always been a thorny issue for the Federation. Every administration had dreamed of gaining control over two key institutions: Shrek Academy and the Spirit Pagoda. But that had never gone beyond dreaming.

These two organizations held irreplaceable positions in the world and more importantly, wielded unmatched power.

The Spirit Pagoda was easier to work with—if motivated by profit, they would at least cooperate. Shrek Academy, on the other hand, was like the hardest reef in the ocean. No matter how strong the waves, it never budged.

But it wasn't just stubbornness. Shrek Academy had the strongest people on the continent. Even the Federation could only turn a blind eye. Fortunately, the academy had no political ambitions. It had never expressed any desire to expand its power. Its students, like water through a sieve, came and went. Without any hoarding of power, the Federation begrudgingly accepted their autonomy.

Under Pan Wen's lead, the group from Shrek Academy filed aboard.

The boarding ramp was powered by soul technology—stable, but rather long.

"Those must be students from the Star Luo Royal Academy," Xie Xie muttered.

Not far ahead, a group in white uniforms was boarding. They looked around seventeen or eighteen years old. When they noticed the green-uniformed students from Shrek, they pointed and whispered.

Le Zhengyu played with his slender fingers and said, "Doesn't matter where they're from. If they act up, we put them in their place."

Xie Xie glanced at him. "Yeah, right. Go ahead then. I dare you. I don't believe you'd win."

"Trying to stir things up?" Yuanen Yehui glared at Xie Xie.

Le Zhengyu beamed. "See? Even our class rep is on my side. Stir things up and she won't go easy on you."

Yuanen Yehui shot him a look. "He's not wrong. You don't exactly scream 'decent guy.'"

"Uh…"

Once aboard, a glance back at the shrinking port made everything feel distant and small.

They were soon greeted—not by staff from the Douluo side, but by the Star Luo Empire's personnel.

Next came room assignments. The cruise ship had more than enough capacity. Everyone could have boarded one ship and still had space to spare. But to keep things comfortable, they split into two.

Soon, everyone had a keycard in hand. Each student was given their own room. Elder Cai, naturally, had a more exclusive cabin on the top deck, escorted personally by Pan Wen.

"Those Shrek uniforms are really ugly. How do you people tolerate them?" came a voice dripping with sarcasm.

Everyone from Shrek turned. It was the white-uniformed students from the Star Luo Royal Academy again.

There were twelve of them—eight male, four female—about the same age, all approaching.

The one who spoke was a short but sturdy boy.

Le Zhengyu tilted his head as if looking around. He muttered, "Who's talking? Who's talking?"

The short boy clearly wasn't invisible, but Le Zhengyu's remark lit a fire under their group.

"You brat, what did you just say?" The short one stormed over and tried to slam his chest into Le Zhengyu's.

Le Zhengyu didn't budge.

Bang! Their chests collided. The short youth had jumped into it, but it felt like hitting a steel wall. He stumbled back two steps.

No contest. The difference in strength was clear.

"Is this how people from the Star Luo Empire show affection? So strange. Do your girls do this too?" Xie Xie said, glancing curiously at the four female students.

"You…!" The four girls looked visibly furious.

"Alright, enough." Gu You stepped forward. "Give me some face and drop this."

"And how much is your face worth?" the short boy said with disdain.

"Oh? How much?" Gu You's eyes turned vertical, dragonlike, and a wave of ancient pressure slammed down.

The short boy dropped to his knees under the sheer weight of it.

"This is what my face is worth." Gu You strode off without another word.

The cabins arranged by the Star Luo side were quite impressive. Each was about forty square meters, with private baths and balconies that overlooked the sea—comfortable and refreshing.

Around noon, three long whistles echoed as the two cruise ships slowly pulled out of port, heading steadily toward the deep sea.

Like twin sea beasts, the giant vessels cut through the waves, their hulls unwavering.

Standing on the balcony, there was no hint of shaking. The sea breeze brushed past, and the golden sun bathed them in warmth. It was indescribably pleasant.

The vast ocean stretched out endlessly. Before long, the land was just a thin black line behind them, and all that remained was endless, rolling waves.
