Chapter 211 - Chapter 211: Star Luo Journey

"I have an announcement." Cai Yue'er's voice echoed throughout the arena. The aura of a Title Douluo instantly suppressed the noise from the crowd.

Gu You watched her calmly. 'Finally... the Star Luo journey I've been waiting for.'

All eyes turned toward Cai Yue'er. Her voice rang out firm and steady. "In light of the excellent performance by the Year One and Year Two joint team during this challenge, the Academy will select several students from these two classes to take part in an exchange trip to Star Luo Continent six months from now. The exchange will last one year. You must work harder to earn your spot."

Star Luo Continent...

Gu You fell into thought. 'I've always felt the continents of Douluo were once a single landmass, perhaps eons or even billions of years ago. I read something on the Federal website... When people from the Star Luo Empire discovered the new continent, they found natives already living there—but those natives looked remarkably like us. That alone proves that at some point, Douluo's landmass changed. But was it natural, or caused by something else?'

'Besides, Dragon Valley is over there.'

The continental drift theory was widely accepted in the Federation. After all, a conclusion had been reached over ten thousand years ago.

In ancient times, Douluo Continent had only two countries: the Heaven Dou Empire and the Star Luo Empire, with several small states scattered between. Around ten thousand years ago, a tectonic shift brought the Sun Moon Continent crashing into Douluo. The result? The continents unified.

"I need to break through to Title Douluo soon," Gu You looked up at the sky.

'Only then can I change everything...'

Soon, the final list of those going to Star Luo Continent was announced. From Year One Class One: Gu You, Gu Yue, Ye Xinglan, Xu Lizhi, Xie Xie, and Xu Xiaoyan. From Year Two Class One: Yuanen Yehui and Le Zhengyu. Eight working students total.

Their escort: Wu Zhangkong. And overseeing the entire group—Silvermoon Douluo, Cai Yue'er.

Six months later.

Inside a room by Sea God Lake.

"Be careful," Ya Li smiled gently.

"Got it, godmother. I'm already rank seventy-three now, stronger than ever!" Gu You grinned as he darted out the door.

'This child...' Ya Li lowered her head with a soft shake. 'He's grown.'

For the past half year, Gu You had been cultivating quietly in the Inner Court, spending time with Ya Li and Yun Ming. Occasionally, he would forge—he couldn't afford to let his skills go rusty after all. It was his livelihood and debt repayment tool. Though, he hadn't seen Feng Wuyu much during that time.

Outer Court of Shrek Academy, Lingbing Plaza.

Ding! Ding!

Gu You's soul communicator buzzed.

"Group up," came Wu Zhangkong's cold voice.

"Yes, teacher." He hung up.

Outside the academy gates, a small crowd gathered—mostly Year One Class One students.

A few showed envy, but they were the minority. Most believed no place was better for cultivation than Shrek Academy.

A one-year exchange might broaden their horizons, but it wouldn't necessarily help with cultivation.

Luo Guixing looked a bit lost. He murmured, "I really want to travel. My dream is to become a voyager, to see every corner of this world. Why didn't they pick me?"

Xu Yucheng said coldly, "A traveler? You're still way too early for that."

"Don't be so harsh..."

"See you in a year!"

"Goodbye!"

After saying their farewells to their classmates and a few teachers, Gu You and the selected working students boarded the vehicle and departed.

He felt a hint of regret—he hadn't seen Feng Wuyu. It would be a full year until they met again.

Tianhai City.

The largest city on the eastern coast of Douluo Continent.

The ten-member team from Shrek Academy arrived: team leader Cai Yue'er, teacher Wu Zhangkong, and students Gu You, Gu Yue, Yuanen Yehui, Le Zhengyu, Xie Xie, Xu Xiaoyan, Xu Lizhi, and Ye Xinglan.

They had come to meet the Star Luo Continent delegation, which would depart by sea after more than a year of exchanges. Because the airspace wasn't open, long-distance flights were forbidden. Even mechas couldn't travel that far. Currently, only Douluo Continent had long-range flying tech. The Federation would never risk their newest soul aircraft being stolen by Star Luo. So sailing was the only option.

Before boarding, the group enjoyed one last meal on Douluo's shore.

"This grilled fish is amazing!" Gu You wolfed down another bite.

The salt-grilled fish from a seaside stall in Tianhai conquered everyone's taste buds. Everyone ate heartily—except Wu Zhangkong, who remained as reserved as ever. Cai Yue'er only picked at a little seafood before putting her chopsticks down.

Cai Yue'er stared absentmindedly at Gu You. It was her first time seeing him eat like this.

"This boy... does he always eat like this in the academy?" she asked Wu Zhangkong.

He twitched at the question, then nodded. "Yes. He eats a lot. But he rarely eats in the dining hall."

"Haha!" Cai Yue'er laughed, watching the students devour their food.

Wu Zhangkong's icy expression softened. He turned to look at Gu You, who was happily devouring his mountain of plates, and his mind drifted to old memories.

'If only she were still here...'

Watching these boys and girls laugh and feast—this was youth at its finest.

He remembered what Gu You once told him: 'She became a sky full of stars, always watching over me...'

"Yuanen, eat more." Xie Xie pushed a plate of eagle-beak shrimp toward Yuanen Yehui.

The shrimp had tough shells, but the meat inside was tender and juicy. Combined with savory marinade, it was heavenly.

Yuanen Yehui glanced at him, then silently accepted the plate and began to eat.

Xie Xie's eyes lit up. 'She didn't reject me. Maybe... just maybe, she's starting to accept me.'

It was a good start.

To him, this exchange trip was like a vacation funded by the academy—and an excellent opportunity to get closer.

Eventually, even the hungriest students were full. But when they compared themselves to Gu You...

He sat surrounded by a small mountain of empty plates.

Everyone sucked in a cold breath. 'This guy... his appetite is stronger than his battle power!'

Gu You was stuffed. Maybe it was because he rarely had seafood, but once he started, he couldn't stop...
