Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Orphans

Beni and Yon, who are only 10 years old, were content living in an orphanage with no parents and no one else to rely on but one another. They became best friends; Yon was a year older than Beni, and the two of them always played and ate together. Beni never left Yon because she only trusted him.

Yon does not talk much, even with the sisters who are the orphan's caretakers.

A fire broke out in the orphanage one day, and everyone fled down the stairs, but Beni fell and her hand arm fell into a lamb, burning her arm side. Yon, who was unable to see that Beni was in pain, began to cry and assure her that he would protect her going forward and that she would never experience harm again. Beni grinned upon hearing this.Beni had many aspirations, including growing up, becoming wealthy, getting married, and leading a simple yet beautiful straightforward life with yon by her side.

They had already spent ten years in foster care and were taken there when they were just two years old. Numerous families came to adopt Yon, but Beni always did something to stop him, such as scratching her hand and hurting herself, or doing anything else to stop him, and she was always successful. At last, the time for their separation arrived, and a family came to adopt Yon while Beni was sleeping. The sister accepted the documents and gave them permission to adopt Yon, but Yon refused to leave and begged the sister to let him spend just one day with Beni as she was sleeping and he wanted to spent time with her for the last time.

When Beni woke up, no one told her anything because they knew she would hurt herself again, so they kept it a secret. Yon took her to their favorite place, a daffodil garden they had created together, where they grew the flowers. Yon told Beni to take care of herself and not hurt herself because he would not be there forever, so now she should take care of herself on her own. "Why are you saying this things? We will always be together and grow older together," she said, grinning at him.

The following day, Yon was prepared to leave with his adopted father and mother. When Beni saw everything, she began to cry, but the sister held her, and Yon looked up at them with anguish in his eyes because he did not want to go either, but he knew that eventually they would have to part ways and live their own lives.

Yon arrived there with his adoptive parents, but he never talks to anyone and always sits by himself. He asked them to allow him to visit the orphanage one more time because it was Beni's birthday, and they complyed, taking him there. Actually beni will also be adopted on that day because a mother with a daughter of the same age as Beni came there looking for a friend who could sit and play with her daughter so she wanted to adopt beni as her second daughter, beni was reluctant to go, but the sister persuaded her that she would live a lovely and tranquil life with them and be able to eat and drink anything she wanted. Finally, she consented, and as she was ready to leave, Yon ran over and gave her a hug. Beni began to cry, saying, "Now I will not go anywhere," because she believed he had returned to live with her. Yon advised her to go and live her life as she pleased, always attending reputable schools, but Beni refused to leave.and hold Yon's hand tightly, but Beni was taken by her adoptive mother to speak with her and advised her to accompany her since she would now be her mother, loving and caring for her. With her gentle voice and smile, she gave Beni a hug, and for the first time, Beni felt the warmth of a mother. As Yon sat alone in the garden, he saw the real daughter of the adoptive mother standing there, unresponsive, holding a stone that had blood on it. As he approached, he noticed a dead parrot there, became alarmed, and fled. Just before they left, Yon said goodbye to Beni, saw the other girl, and gave her the daffodil flower, saying, "Please take care of Beni," with fear in his eyes. The girl grinned at him and assured him that she would look after Beni. They then departed with Beni, and Yon followed suit.
