"Daddy, can I ask you something?"
Kellan originally wanted Cora to go play on the sofa, but she just stood there, not moving.
She looked up at him with her pale, almost see-through skin, her delicate cherry-colored lips, and a pair of big black eyes that seriously looked like they could talk.
Her long eyelashes were thick and curled, making her look just like a cute little doll. But right now, she was pretending to be all serious.
It made her look even more adorable.
Kellan's eyes softened, and the corners of his lips lifted just slightly, full of indulgence.
"Hmm? What is it?" His voice was warm and deep.
"Daddy, why didn't you come find me and Mommy all these years?" Cora blinked her big eyes, her lips pushed into a pout as she asked, her voice kind of gloomy.
She really did see Kellan as her dad now, but she couldn't understand why he hadn't wanted them this whole time.
When Mommy found Daddy, she didn't look excited or happy like Cora imagined she would.
