The fight that took place at Davion's house, was enough to make the man feel guilty because he thought about every word of his son who apparently blamed him for his mother's departure.
Claudia tried to comfort him, she sat with him while rubbing his head as Davion hugged her tightly.
"I'm sorry I looked so weak and childish in front of you, sweetheart. I should be the one protecting you and hugging you, not the one looking like a child," he said.
"What are you talking about? It's not childish, it's your weak side. It's not something bad. In fact, you seem more open now that you want to show this side to me," she said softly as she continued to rub his head.
Davion drew in his breath, then exhaled slowly while feeling the warmth of her touch. The man didn't know how he would have dealt with this if Claudia wasn't with him.
'Maybe I'll just sit quietly. Alone, without anyone who really cares about me. Feeling all this devastation and pain without someone beside me.'
