Chapter 37 - Chapter 36 Time to Go

The soft creak of the inn's sliding door echoed through the entrance as Miya and Issei stepped inside. But they barely made it a few steps before they were immediately swarmed.

"Issei!" Uzume was the first to pounce, almost tackling him in her excitement. "Did it happen? Huh? Did you finally land the queen of the Sekirei?!"

"Did you wing Miya-san?" Yashima asked shyly, her hands clutched in front of her chest but her big, hopeful eyes sparkling.

Matsu slid in next, her glasses glinting with intrigue. "Details, dear Ashikabi! For scientific research. This is actually quite a feat as many didn't think it would be possible~!"

Even Akitsu, ever quiet and stoic, stepped closer, watching intently as if she was waiting for the announcement.

Karasuba remained leaning against the wall, arms crossed and face blank—but her crimson eyes were sharp, focused entirely on the pair.

Caught between laughter and exasperation, Issei scratched his cheek nervously. He opened his mouth to speak, but Miya simply smiled and took the lead. She stepped closer to Issei, placed a hand on his cheek, and without hesitation, pulled him into a soft, tender kiss right in front of everyone.

The room froze for a moment—then exploded into cheers and squeals.

"Yattaaa~!" Uzume practically jumped in the air, pumping her fists.

"Finally!" Matsu wiped away a fake tear. "Our stern and scary landlady has a chance of happiness~!"

Akitsu merely smiled, a rare and delicate thing, while Yashima blushed so hard she looked ready to faint from happiness.

Even Karasuba's lips twitched, though whether it was amusement or irritation was hard to tell.

Still holding Issei's hand, Miya turned toward them with her usual gentle smile. "But." She said sweetly. "This does not mean I will allow any lewd activities within my inn."

"Ehhhh?!" Uzume and Matsu whined in perfect unison, throwing their heads down dramatically.

"That's cruel, Miyaaa~!" Matsu cried.

Uzume crossed her arms and pouted. "How can we be lovers if we can't even get frisky at home?"

Miya merely laughed, a sound that was gentle but firm as steel. "Rules are rules, my fellow Sekirei. No exceptions."

Issei just chuckled awkwardly, scratching the back of his head. 'At least she's happy now… even if she's still terrifying.'

The excitement slowly wound down, the flock buzzing with a happiness that hadn't been there before. Soon enough, yawns began to escape tired lips.

"I believe it's about time for bed. We'll need our energy tomorrow." She reminded them, her voice soft but commanding. "We have much to prepare if we are leaving for a new world. Plus I also have to make some calls to inform some people of our departure."

"That's true Kazehana-neechan doesn't even know of the crazy month we had." Uzume says with a cheer.

"Who?" Issei asked, confused as he never heard that name.

"Don't you worry Anata. Maybe you'll see her tomorrow." Miya then linked Issei's arm to her's and began dragging him to her room. "Now I do believe we should head to bed dear."

"Eh?" Issei says confused as he was being dragged to Miya's room. But soon his other arm was grabbed forcefully, stopping Miya and pulling him in the other direction. "Ow Ow!"

"Where do you think you're going with my hubby, Miya?" Uzume asks, holding Issei's other arm tightly.

Miya's smile remained serene, but a dangerous gleam flickered in her brown eyes as she turned to Uzume. "Ara~? I do believe it is my right now as his newest winged Sekirei to enjoy my Ashikabi's company, Uzume-chan."

Uzume puffed out her cheeks, not backing down. "Tch! I've been with him longer! Seniority counts, doesn't it?! Plus, he needs his emotional support pillow, which are my boobs—you can't just hog him on the first night!"

"Th-that's right Miya-sama. It isn't fair to monopolize him for yourself. Ashikabi-sama always sleeps with everyone." Yashima speaks out grabbing the arm Uzume is holding.

Soon Akitsu also helps her fellow Sekirei from their tyrannical landlady as she also wants to sleep with Issei.

Issei, caught in the middle, flailed helplessly, his arms being tugged left and right. "W-Wait! Don't I have a say in this?"

""No!"" All women said at the same time, cutting off his desperate plea.

Matsu watched the boy be dragged back and forth, amusement glittering behind her glasses. "Oho~ Looks like another great battle for our dear Ashikabi has officially begun~."

Meanwhile, Karasuba watched with an arched brow from the shadows, arms crossed. "Ridiculous." She muttered, but the slight twitch of her lips betrayed her enjoyment.

Issei, still struggling, tried to play mediator. "L-Look, why don't we just—uh—have a group cuddle like usual?"

Miya's grip tightened ever so slightly, enough to make Issei wince. "Dear husband," she said sweetly, dangerously. "I have waited long enough to have you for myself. Tonight… you are mine."

Uzume growled low in her throat, her competitive streak firing up. "Not happening! Not without a fight!"

The air grew thick with tension.

"Alright" Matsu, unable to resist, adjusted her glasses with a sly glint. "Perhaps we should implement a 'Husband Sharing System™' next time. I happen to have a preliminary draft, complete with scheduled time slots and rotating cuddle assignments. But our Ashikabi-sama needs to rest! Tomorrow is important!"

Issei asked, confused. "Scheduled cuddles?!"

Miya and Uzume continued their silent stare-down, the intensity between them growing. The air itself almost seemed to crackle with invisible sparks.

Finally, Miya let out a soft, dangerous sigh, her serene smile never wavering. "Ara~ I suppose... it wouldn't be very becoming of me to bully the young ones on our first night together." She released Issei's arm very reluctantly.

Uzume grinned triumphantly—only to yelp when Miya casually flicked her forehead hard enough to send her staggering back into Yashima.

Miya folded her hands into her sleeves with a satisfied hum. "However, I will insist on being at his side tonight."

Uzume huffed but quickly latched onto Issei's other side. "Fine! But I get the right arm!"

Yashima timidly approached and clutched at Issei's sleeve. "Then... then I'll stay by his feet… i-if that's okay."

Akitsu simply stood silently at his back, her presence a solid, quiet support.

Matsu, ever the agent of chaos, declared, "Then I'll just nap on top of the pile~ Best spot to feel my Ashikabi's growing muscles!"

Issei, realizing that they chose what he said in the beginning, (not that he really minded, if he was being honest), sighed heavily. "Fine. Fine... Group cuddle it is."

Karasuba watched them head toward Miya's room, her arms still crossed. She scoffed under her breath. "Idiots," she said, but her expression softened just a touch.

Later that night, within the cozy futons laid out carefully in Miya's room, Issei lay utterly trapped.

On his right, Uzume clung to his arm like a sleepy octopus, muttering happily about cuddles and dreams of sexy dances. On his left, Miya held his hand gently, while his arm was covered by her body, her touch so soft, so warm, it almost made his heart start pounding. Yashima and Akitsu snuggled quietly against his legs, like a loyal puppy seeking warmth. And Matsu, true to her word, had claimed his chest like a content cat, lightly snoring.

Issei stared at the ceiling, a dumb, blissful grin on his face. 'Man... how did I get so lucky?' He thought as his eyes closed.

—-------------------------------------------

The first rays of sunlight filtered into the room, causing Miya to stir, blinking sleepily. A tender smile touched her lips as her gaze fell on Issei, still fast asleep, his hair adorably mussed from being buried under a pile of girls all night.

Careful not to wake anyone, Miya leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to Issei's lips—a silent thank you, a quiet promise.

Then, with the grace of a seasoned warrior, she slipped free from the tangle of limbs and quietly stood. She had work to do.

In the living room, Miya retrieved the house phone and dialed the first number she had memorized.

Ring... Ring...

On the third ring, a familiar lazy voice answered. "Yo, Seo here. Whaddya want, Miya? Kinda early, don't ya think?"

Miya's voice was sweet, but carried a certain steel underneath. "Seo, I have good news. Pack your belongings. You and your Sekirei will be moving into Izumo Inn. Effective immediately, you are the new caretaker."

There was a crash on the other end—likely Seo dropping the phone in shock—before Hibiki and Hikari's excited voices filtered through.

"Really?! A real home?!"

"Hibiki, pinch me, I must be dreaming!"

 "No, you pinch me!"

Seo finally fumbled back to the phone, laughing nervously. "Wait, wait, wait—me? Landlord? Isn't that a bit—?"

Miya's polite tone turned slightly menacing. "Would you rather sleep in a cardboard box, Seo?"

"...We'll be there by noon."

Satisfied, Miya hung up.

—------------------------------------

Not long after, the front door slid open with a loud thump.

"Oi, Miya!" Came a familiar voice, filled with irritation.

Miya turned with perfect poise, already anticipating who it was. Standing there was Homura, still in his uniform, his hair a bit wild, his face flushed with barely-contained frustration.

"My, Homura." Miya greeted him with a serene bow. "You finally return. We missed your presence dearly."

Homura groaned, rubbing his temples. "Missed me, huh? Well, thanks to someone's little break-in at MBI..." His fiery glare shifted to the room where Issei still slept peacefully, buried under a pile of cuddling Sekirei. "...I had to spend all night rescuing confused, half-adjusted Sekirei who were dumped into the city after Matsu's little 'liberation.'"

Miya chuckled behind her hand, not even bothering to hide her amusement. "Ara~ I suppose we all have our burdens."

Homura sighed heavily and dropped onto a cushion. "You should've seen it. Crying Sekirei everywhere. Half of them thought I was their Ashikabi just because I helped them stand up. It was a mess!"

"I'm sure you handled it splendidly, Homura." Miya said with a mischievous sparkle in her eyes. "As expected of our reliable guardian."

He glared half-heartedly at her. "Don't butter me up."

"It's good that you came back home, Homura. There's been a few changes that I wanted to talk to you about."

"What is it this about, Miya-san"

Miya, still poised and graceful, gestured for Homura to follow her to the low table, where the scent of fresh tea she had just brewed lingered. She knelt with practiced elegance and poured two cups, sliding one toward him.

Homura sat down heavily across from her, already sensing this conversation would not be a casual one.

She took a breath, her smile soft but resolute. "First and foremost, Homura... I have decided to leave Izumo Inn."

Homura blinked. Stared. Then frowned deeply. "...You're what?"

Miya continued calmly, folding her hands neatly in her lap. "I have been given a new chance. One I never thought I would accept again. But... I am going with Issei-kun and the others when they leave this world."

Homura's mouth opened—then closed. He looked genuinely shaken. "Miya... you—You're the heart of this place. You can't just—! This inn… it's you."

Miya's eyes dimmed slightly with bittersweet emotion. "This place holds Takehito's memory. It always will. But..." She glanced toward the room where Issei was sleeping. "...I cannot remain frozen in time forever. Takehito would not want that for me. He would want me to live."

Her fingers curled slightly against her clothes.

"This boy... he's foolish, reckless, embarrassingly perverted at times—but he's also kind, brave, and stubbornly protective. He reminds me that I am still alive."

Homura's shoulders dropped as he exhaled slowly. He ran a hand through his hair. "...And the inn?"

Miya's expression softened. "It will not be abandoned. Seo Kaoru will take over as the new caretaker. Hibiki and Hikari will help him. I have already made the necessary arrangements."

"Seo? Seriously?" Homura gave her a deeply skeptical look. "Of all people…"

Miya chuckled quietly, a real laugh, tinged with mischief. "Ara~. He is a terrible freeloader, but he is loyal. And under the twins' supervision, I believe he will manage."

Homura leaned back against the wall, crossing his arms. He let out a long breath. "It'll be weird without you here."

"It will be strange for me as well." Miya admitted, her voice unusually vulnerable. "But I would regret far more if I let this chance slip by."

Homura closed his eyes for a moment, as if weighing everything, then opened them again with a resigned smirk. "Guess you deserve a shot at happiness too, Miya."

Miya smiled at him, this time full and radiant. "Thank you, Homura."

—---------------

Just then, the group in the futon began to stir. Uzume muttered something about "greedy landladies," Matsu snuggled deeper into Issei's chest, and Akitsu lazily stretched, her hand seeking Issei's.

Then there was a chorus of yawns, groans, and rustling as the others finally woke fully.

Issei, hair still messy, sat up, blinking blearily at the scene. "Eh? What's going on? Breakfast ready yet?"

Uzume, now sitting upright with a wicked grin, teased, "Nah, just Miya plotting to steal you away forever."

Issei tilted his head, utterly lost. "...Eh?"

Soon they wore their usual outfits with Issei using his school uniform, the same one he had when he landed in this world.

When they went to the kitchen to eat their breakfast they were surprised by the new arrival.

"Yo Homura. How's it been man? Haven't seen you in a week." Issei greets the male Sekirei. Happy to see him. Unaware of the glare the man was giving him and just how much anger came off of him.

"Hello… Issei. How have you been?" Homura asks with a growl.

"Ehh. Pretty busy. But nothing I couldn't handle." Issei says nonchalantly.

Soon the rest of the girls came to eat ready to package their big move.

—-------------------------------

The inn was full of movement and noise that morning, a stark contrast to its usual peaceful atmosphere.

Boxes lined the halls, clothing strewn about, papers flying as Matsu barked orders from her room. Even Karasuba, silent and aloof, could be seen wandering the corridors, carrying a single small duffle bag slung casually over her shoulder—its contents probably nothing more than a change of clothes.

Issei stood at the center of it all, packing a few boxes and surveying the chaos. 'Man, it's like trying to organize a tornado…' He thought helplessly.

Akitsu wandered over to him, dressed neatly again in her simple white kimono, hugging a small bundle against her chest—basically everything she owned. Her pale gaze lifted to meet his. "Ashikabi-sama... I am ready."

Issei smiled warmly but felt a pang in his chest. She had so little. 'I'm definitely taking her shopping the moment we are back in my world.' He promised himself. Especially... he coughed a little, thinking about the lack of basic necessities like underwear. 'I can't have Akitsu running around with just a kimono between her and the world!'

He turned to see Karasuba lounging nearby, arms crossed, watching him with that faint, sardonic smirk. Her single bag leaned against the wall. "Don't expect me to carry your junk, boy," she said lazily, reading his expression.

Issei waved his hands defensively. "Wouldn't dare!"

Karasuba's lips twitched in amusement before she leaned her head back and closed her eyes. "Good."

Meanwhile, Yashima busied herself carefully packing her precious plushies that made Issei's heart melt a little. She didn't have much either, just a few outfits Miya and Matsu had gifted her and a couple personal keepsakes from their short time together.

Uzume, however, was an entirely different beast. "WHERE ARE MY OTHER COSTUMES!?" she wailed from her room.

"Didn't you pack most of them already?" Matsu called back without even looking up from the mountain of electronics she was sorting.

"Noooo, that was the cute maid outfits!" Uzume groaned. "I need the animal theme ones! You know, for—uh—special occasions!"

Issei sweatdropped watching Uzume's arms flailing around piles of colorful outfits. Bunny suits, gothic lolita dresses, shrine maiden outfits, nurse uniforms…

'Dear god...' he thought. 'Uzume's got enough clothes to start her own convention.' Still... he smiled at the thought of seeing her dressed up just for him one day.

Matsu, on the other hand, was surrounded by what could only be described as a tech junkyard. Laptops, strange metal components, servers, prototype devices that Issei didn't even want to know the purpose of.

It took all hands—literally everyone except Karasuba—to help bubble-wrap, pack, and secure her most valuable "souvenirs" from her hacking and criminal escapades.

As Issei taped shut another heavy box labeled "DO NOT SHAKE OR EXPLODE." He wiped the sweat from his brow.

"Man, your stuff's going to cause a technological revolution when we get back home..." Issei muttered wondering the repercussions of introducing tech from 2020.

Matsu just grinned slyly from behind her glasses.

"Ufufu~. I prefer to think of it as... an early contribution to human advancement, darling~."

Issei gulped. 'I better make sure she doesn't accidentally reinvent an AI takeover.'

Miya watched them all from the hallway, arms folded with a fond, resigned smile. It was chaotic, noisy, and a little messy. But it was also... full of life.

"Let's work hard." Miya said softly to herself, watching Issei laugh as Uzume and Yashima tried—and failed—to pack a giant teddy bear into a suitcase. 'Together.'

"Miya!!" They soon heard a loud voice and the sound of wind coming from the garden.

"It's Nee-san." Uzume speaks excitedly.

"Guess she's finally here." Miya says with a sigh.

"Tch. Can't believe I have to deal with her now." Karasuba grunts in annoyance.

"So how is she?" Issei asks as they head to the garden.

"Just the last resident of this inn. She's pretty whimsical and usually traveling and doesn't stay in one place. She is the Sekirei of wind No 3." Matsu explains.

"She's a complete drunkard and also part of the jobless trio that made this inn." Miya speaks out, throwing shade at Uzume and Matsu. "Issei." Miya says stop

"Yes." Issei responds wondering what else she has to say.

"When you meet her. You are under no circumstances to touch her. Am I clear?" Miya responds with a side glare.

"I promise." Issei says straightening himself up out of fear.

"Thank you dear." Miya responds with a smile at her obedient husband.

The group made their way toward the garden, the air filled with a wild, whirling breeze that made the trees shudder and the flowers dance. It wasn't just the normal, gentle gusts of autumn—this wind had a presence to it. A playful, teasing force that tickled at their clothes and hair.

Issei could already feel the sound of winds and bells.

As they exited the inn onto the garden's wooden engawa, they were greeted by the sight of a woman standing in the middle of the yard.

She had long, flowing dark hair that shimmered in the light, and her slim body was dressed in a short purple Chinese dress that hinted at a total disregard for appearances. She held a large bottle in one hand—likely filled with sake—while her free hand waved lazily toward them as if greeting old friends.

"Yoo~! Long time no see, Miyaaaa!" the woman called out cheerfully, spinning once on her heel and stumbling slightly. "Matsu and Uzume-chan!" " She then looks at the new faces of the inn and is surprised to find her old murderous comrade among them. "My, my, look how the family's grown~! Karasuba, I'm surprised to see you within ten feet of Miya."

Issei, shaking his head and trying to maintain proper manners, bowed politely. "Uh... nice to meet you—"

But before he could finish, Miya moved like a ghost. She was suddenly at his side, seizing his shoulder in a death grip that made his knees buckle slightly. "Do. Not. Touch. Her." she whispered dangerously into his ear.

"Y-Yes ma'am!" Issei squeaked, standing stiff as a board.

The woman sauntered up to them, her brown eyes twinkling mischievously. She took a long drink from her bottle before appearing behind Karasuba and slapping her on the back hard enough to make the swordswoman scowl.

"Karasuba-chan, You are still as scary as ever~- Still picking fights you can't win, hmm?"

Karasuba gave her a look that could kill. "Tch. Same as ever, Kazehana. Still a damn drunk."

Kazehana simply laughed it off easily. "Better a happy drunk than a gloomy killer, right?"

She twirled again, letting the bottle swing wildly, before turning her bright, teasing gaze on Issei.

"And who's this fine young man?" She asked, leaning forward dangerously close.

Issei stiffened like a board, Miya's words echoing loudly in his head: "Under no circumstances do you touch her."

"I-I'm Issei Hyoudou." He managed to blurt out, bowing again quickly to maintain as much distance as possible. "Nice to meet you, Kazehana-san!"

"Ooooh~ so polite!" Kazehana giggled. "You're adorable. Tell me, sweetie, are you Miya's secret lover or something?"

Issei choked on air, face burning.

Uzume burst out laughing behind him, while Matsu tried—and failed—to hide her amusement behind her glasses.

Miya's smile didn't falter, but a dark aura and a mask began to appear off of her body like a black sun.

Kazehana, unfazed, merely whistled. "Ara~ Ara~ Looks like Miya's a lucky girl~! Didn't think you still had it in you, Miya-chan!"

"Kazehana..." Miya said sweetly, her aura intensifying, "if you continue to spout nonsense, you may find yourself flying out of this garden on a rather... literal breeze."

Kazehana held up her hands in surrender, still laughing. "Alright, alright, no need to threaten and cause bodily harm! I'm just here because you called me, not to cause trouble."

"Then please. Behave." Miya's words left no room for negotiation.

Issei dared to glance at Kazehana from the corner of his eye. There was something chaotic but… free about her. She didn't seem like a bad person. Just... a walking typhoon in human form.

Kazehana winked at him when she caught him looking, making him immediately snap his eyes away and pretend to inspect the floor.

"Ohh. And a warning Kazehana. Don't you ever touch Issei-kun or else I will personally punish you." Miya says as she stands in front of Kazehana with a glare.

Kazehana, seeing this, tries showing her hands to placate her. "Don't you worry Miya. I would never go against the words of No. 1."

'I must not touch her.' Issei thought desperately, seeing Miya start to threaten Kazehana. Soon he left to continue helping Matsu pack her electronics.

—------------------------------------------

The two women are now seen alone sitting down at the table.

"Now then why was I called in for?" Kazehana asks curiously.

"Kazehana. As much as it pains me to say this. I will be leaving the inn and eloping with Issei."

"Ohh my! That's so romantic. To think that you miss prim and proper would do something so rash." Kazehana says gushing at how romantic this situation was.

"I won't be the only one leaving, Matsu, Uzume and even Karasuba are also going." She said the last name with a grunt of anger. "We don't know when we will return and for that reason, I'm leaving Seo in charge. I called you to inform you of these changes."

Kazehana leaned back lazily in her seat, swirling the last few drops of sake in her bottle. Her brown eyes gleamed with mirth and curiosity as she listened to Miya's words. She gave a long, slow whistle after Miya finished explaining.

"Well, well, well~," Kazehana purred, her smile widening, "I leave for a month and you go off, fall in love, and decide to run off into the sunset with a cute younger man? I gotta admit, Miya-chan, I'm impressed."

Miya sighed, resting her chin lightly on one hand. "It's not as whimsical as you make it sound, Kazehana. It wasn't something I planned." She paused, a rare vulnerability flashing across her eyes. "But... It's something I want. Something I... chose."

Kazehana's grin softened into something more genuine. She set her bottle aside, leaning in closer across the low table. "You don't have to explain it to me. I'm actually really happy for you, Miya."

Miya glanced down at her hands, fingers fidgeting with the sleeve of her outfit—a small, nervous gesture so unlike the Miya, Kazehana was used to. "It still feels strange. Even now, part of me feels guilty... like I'm betraying Takehito's memory."

Kazehana's smile turned bittersweet. "Takehito was a good man. The best. But even he would've smacked you on the head and told you to stop being stubborn if he saw you refusing to live your life." She chuckled under her breath. "You deserve your happiness Miya."

There was a moment of comfortable silence between them, the sounds of the inn bustling faintly in the background as everyone continued packing.

After a while, Kazehana stretched her arms above her head. "So, leaving Seo in charge, huh? You're really willing to entrust him with your precious Izumo Inn?"

Miya's brow twitched ever so slightly. "I do not trust Seo... but I trust Hibiki and Hikari. They will keep him in line. And besides..." Her lips quirked into a small smirk. "If he steps out of line, I left very specific instructions."

Kazehana laughed, a musical sound like wind through trees. "Poor guy's doomed. But hey, I'll make sure to drop by from time to time. Scare him straight if need be."

"That would be appreciated." Miya inclined her head, her eyes dancing with quiet amusement.

Kazehana rested her chin on her palm, regarding Miya thoughtfully. "You really love him, don't you? The kid, Issei."

Miya closed her eyes for a moment, as if searching for the right words. When she opened them again, her gaze was soft but filled with steel-like determination. "I don't know." She said simply. "But he makes me feel... alive again. He's bright, foolish, kind, infuriatingly perverted... but he's honest. And I trust him with my heart."

Kazehana felt her throat tighten just a little. She wasn't usually one for sentimental moments, but seeing Miya—strong, untouchable Miya—speak with such raw sincerity made her chest ache in the best way.

"I'm proud of you, Miya-chan." Kazehana whispered sincerely.

Miya chuckled, hiding a small smile behind her sleeve. "You're still an incorrigible drunk."

"Of course~." Kazehana grinned. "But even drunks know a good thing when they see it. Well then~," Kazehana said, slinging the bottle over her shoulder. "If everyone's packing up for a trip, guess I'd better lend a hand! Especially if Miya-chan's finally decided to stop living like a widow and join the living again."

Miya twitched but said nothing.

—-------------------------

"Yo!" A familiar, lazy voice called out as Seo Kaoru sauntered into the inn's grounds, hands shoved deep into his pockets, a lazy grin plastered on his face. Hibiki and Hikari trailed behind him, carrying several duffel bags between them.

Issei, standing by the door with Uzume, Akitsu, and Yashima, perked up at the sight. He quickly jogged over to greet them.

"Hey, Seo! Thanks for coming!" Issei said with a bright smile, raising a hand in greeting.

Seo gave him a once-over, then let out a low whistle. "Damn, kid. I leave you alone for a few weeks, and you've built yourself quite a harem. Not bad, not bad at all!" He laughed boisterously, slapping Issei's back hard enough to make him stumble a step forward.

Issei scratched the back of his head awkwardly, cheeks reddening. "I-It's not like I planned it…"

The twins, Hibiki and Hikari, both giggled at Issei's bashful reaction.

"I wonder if you can even handle them." Hibiki teased with a wink.

Hikari nodded, a mischievous smile on her lips. "Congratulations, Issei-kun. Please take care of them properly, alright?"

Before Issei could respond..

Miya approached, her steps graceful yet somehow carrying the weight of a fully armed battalion. Her expression was calm—too calm.

Seo immediately straightened his posture, dropping the casual grin.

"Miya." He said, trying for nonchalance, but there was a note of nervousness in his voice.

Miya stopped in front of him, her arms folded neatly in her sleeves.

"You are here because I have entrusted the care of the Izumo Inn to you," she began, her tone sharp and businesslike. "This inn was my late husband's pride. It is a place of peace, of dignity. If you dare mistreat it—"

She smiled. It was not a nice smile.

"—then even if I am in another world, I will find you, Seo Kaoru. And you will wish you had never been born."

A visible shiver ran down Seo's spine. Hibiki and Hikari both hurriedly stepped forward, bowing low.

"D-Don't worry, Miya-san!" Hibiki stammered.

"We'll make sure he behaves!" Hikari added quickly, shooting their Ashikabi warning glares.

Seo sighed, defeated. "Yeah, yeah. I get it. I'll take care of the place like it was my own mother's shrine. Happy?"

Miya gave a satisfied nod.

"And congratulations on being winged, Miya-san!" Hibiki said with a bright smile.

"Yes, congratulations! You deserve your happiness!" Hikari chimed in, clapping her hands together.

A rare, genuine smile softened Miya's features. She inclined her head in thanks. "Thank you. I intend to live... fully, from now on."

Issei stood nearby, watching the whole interaction unfold with a kind of amazement. 'Man… Miya is seriously scary when she wants to be.' He thought with a nervous sweatdrop. 'But she's seriously amazing too.' He added silently, his heart full of warmth for the beautiful woman who had chosen to follow him.

Homura appeared next, stepping into the courtyard with his arms crossed. "I'll be supervising." He said dryly, glaring at Seo as if daring him to screw up.

Seo groaned loudly. "Great. Another babysitter. Just what I needed."

"You're welcome," Homura replied flatly, before shifting his attention to Issei. "You ready?"

Issei nodded firmly, feeling the excitement bubbling up inside him.

The group was almost ready.

One world was about to be left behind... and another adventure was waiting right beyond the horizon.

—----------------------

Issei, along with Miya, Uzume, Akitsu, Yashima, Matsu, and even Karasuba, stood before Izumo Inn, one final moment to look back at the place that had been their home. A place filled with memories, both sweet and painful.

Seo leaned lazily against the wooden entrance, hands in his pockets. Hibiki and Hikari stood beside him, giving small waves. Homura crossed his arms, his sharp gaze soft for once. Kazehana, despite her usual tipsy demeanor, was unusually composed, her bottle of sake tucked under her arm as she smiled gently at Miya.

"Guess this is goodbye." Seo said with a lopsided grin. "Take care of yourselves, you crazy kids."

"Safe travels," Hibiki added, her smile genuine.

Hikari nodded. "And make sure to come back to visit! You'll always have a home here."

Homura simply gave Issei a firm nod. No words needed.

Kazehana lifted her bottle slightly in salute. "Go chase that future of yours, Miya-chan. We'll be here if you ever need a drink… or a place to come home to."

Issei, feeling a lump in his throat, bowed slightly. "Thank you. For everything."

The rest of his group echoed the sentiment, exchanging farewells and promises of one day returning.

It was a warm, emotional scene—

Until Karasuba, standing slightly apart from the others, scowled and loudly interrupted, crossing her arms. "Oi. Can someone finally explain where the hell we're going? Because unless my ears are broken, nobody has told me anything!"

At her outburst, the entire group stiffened.

Seo raised an eyebrow. Homura's lips twitched in amusement. Hibiki and Hikari tried not to laugh. Even Miya allowed herself a soft sigh, clearly expecting this.

Issei was stunned and turned slowly toward his group, a twitch forming at the corner of his mouth. He whispered through gritted teeth. "You didn't explain anything to her?!"

Uzume, scratching her cheek nervously, averted her gaze. "Her attitude makes it really hard to talk to her, okay?"

Matsu shrugged, pushing her glasses up. "She's scary, darling~ Plus you're the Ashikabi. It's your job to deal with her."

Yashima nodded sheepishly. "We thought… um, you would handle it…"

Even Akitsu, usually silent, gave a tiny nod of agreement.

Issei's eye twitched. 'Of course. Leave the ticking time bomb to me.'

Taking a deep breath, he turned to face Karasuba, who was tapping her foot impatiently, one hand resting dangerously close to the hilt of her sword.

"Well," Issei began awkwardly, scratching the back of his head, "Funny story… We're not just moving to another town or anything."

Karasuba's eyes narrowed dangerously. "Get to the point."

"We're… actually leaving this world." He said, forcing a smile. "Going to my home world. A place full of magic, dragons, gods and you know, normal stuff."

Silence.

Karasuba blinked once. Then twice.

"You're telling me you're dragging me across dimensions?"

"Uh... yes?"

For a moment, no one breathed.

Then Karasuba tilted her head back and laughed—a sharp, wild sound. "Tch. Figures. Only an idiot like you would pull something that insane."

Issei blinked. "So… you're not mad?"

"Oh, I'm furious." Her smile was dangerous. "But if this 'other world' has strong people to fight… I'm in."

Relief washed over Issei like a tidal wave.

Hibiki leaned toward Hikari, whispering, "Did we just witness a miracle?"

Hikari whispered back, "Either that, or Issei's crazier than we thought."

Matsu adjusted her glasses, grinning. "Ah, darling~ You truly have a talent for gathering disasters and turning them into loyal companions."

Miya, smiling faintly but still carrying her matronly aura, stepped beside Issei. "It's part of his charm."

Issei looked around at everyone—their expectant faces, their trust, their willingness to follow him.

No matter how dangerous or unknown the future was… he wouldn't face it alone.

The portal shimmered like a living mirror, swirling with soft hues of blue, large enough to swallow the entire group along with their belongings. A gentle hum filled the air, almost musical.

Issei stared into the swirling gateway, heart pounding with a mixture of excitement and anxiety.

'Finally… I'm going home.'

But the thought quickly twisted into a new concern—Yuuka. His first real girlfriend. The one he left behind so suddenly without a word. And now, here he was, about to pop back into her life… with not one, not two, but six beautiful women at his side.

'She's going to kill me!' He thought grimly.

He quickly turned around, facing his flock who stood beside their packed belongings. Each of his Sekirei watched him with a mixture of trust and excitement—ready to step into the unknown with him. Even Karasuba, despite her usual sour expression, looked more curious than murderous.

"Listen, everyone," Issei said, lifting his hand slightly for attention. "I'm going in first, okay., I need you all to hang back for a little bit."

Uzume tilted her head, frowning. "Why, hubby? Aren't we going in together?"

Yashima clutched the handle of her hammer, looking concerned. "Are we not welcome?"

Akitsu just blinked at him silently, waiting for an explanation.

Matsu, of course, smirked mischievously. "Ara~ You're worried about introducing your lovely harem to your world, dear~?"

Issei sweatdropped. "It's not like that! Well—kinda—! Look, it's just... When I left my world, I was with someone. A girl named Yuuka. I want to explain this calmly to her before I give her a shock."

There was a moment of silence.

Miya gave him a patient smile, understanding immediately. "You wish to speak with her first."

"Yeah." Issei nodded, feeling both guilty and nervous. "I owe her an explanation. She probably thinks I ditched her. I need to talk to her before she sees... all of you." Before hearing their answer, Issei goes through the portal in worry at what Yuuka and Tamamo would do to him.

—--------------------------------------

Kouh (20 minutes after Issei left)

"Issei! Hey Issei! Where the hell are you?" A black haired girl with blue eyes yelled through the streets wondering where her boyfriend disappeared. She only went to buy some snacks in the convenience store and he was gone.

Soon a dust cloud could be seen coming closer to her at top speed and as it came closer to her she noticed long pink hair in the cloud. Soon it was near and a screeching sound of something stopping forcefully was heard. And the cloud turned out to be Tamamo in her civilian disguise with Sakura on her shoulders.

The cloud of dust settled around Yuuka, leaving her coughing slightly as she waved the air in front of her face. Her eyes widened in confusion and shock as the figure within the dust revealed itself—pink hair under a cute sunhat, golden eyes sparkling with worry and terror.

"Tamamo?" Yuuka blinked. "What the hell?!"

"YUUUUUUKA!" Tamamo shouted with worry. "Where's my Husband? I felt him here before I suddenly felt his presence vanish. Please tell me you know where he is?"

"Where's Papa?" Asked Sakura as she was about to cry.

"You brought Sakura here?" Yuuka asks with worry as this might be serious and Sakura was still a child.

"I was just picking her up from her school before I felt darling's presence disappear. Now please tell me what happened?"

"I don't know. I was walking with him to our home before I left him here to buy something from the store and when I came back he was gone."

Tamamo's ears, hidden beneath her hat, twitched anxiously. Her golden eyes flickered with panic as she clutched Sakura closer, the little girl sniffling quietly against her shoulder. The usually playful, mischievous woman was practically vibrating with unease. "It's just that I can no longer feel his presence. "

Yuuka grit her teeth, her hands balling into fists at her sides. "You're serious. He's gone gone?"

Tamamo nodded rapidly. "Vanished. His scent, his presence—everything just blinked out."

Yuuka's heart hammered painfully in her chest. She looked at Sakura's trembling form, then back at Tamamo. She swallowed her fear and tried to think rationally.

"Okay," Yuuka said, voice sharper than she meant it to be. "Okay. Calm down. Let's think—he's not weak and something had to have pulled him away. Maybe… maybe it was that weird watch, he has. Yeah that must be it, remember, it probably took him to a new world, right?"

Tamamo nodded hesitantly. "He was transported to a new world. That would explain why I can't feel him."

Yuuka clutched her forehead, trying to stave off the pounding headache that was forming. "Great. Just great. And of course, it happens while I'm gone for two damn minutes."

Sakura whimpered. "I want Papa!"

Tamamo gently rubbed her back, her voice softening. "Don't worry, sweetling. Papa will come back."

Yuuka's heart cracked a little at the sight. 'Issei.' sShe thought bitterly. 'Where the hell are you?' The black-haired girl exhaled sharply and pulled herself together. She had to stay strong—for Sakura, for Tamamo, and for herself. She wasn't going to cry or break down. Issei was strong. "First," Yuuka said, voice hardening. "We have to make sure we're ready when he comes back."

Tamamo's eyes widened. "You believe he'll return? What if the world he has been taken to is too dangerous."

"Of course, he'll return!" Yuuka barked, scowling fiercely. "That idiot's too stubborn to die! He probably found some way to survive wherever he's been dragged!"

Sakura sniffled again, this time with a tiny hopeful smile. "Daddy's strong."

Tamamo laughed lightly, though her eyes shimmered with emotion. "Yes, he is."

Yuuka crossed her arms, face firm with determination. "We wait. We prepare. And the moment he comes back, we're not letting him out of our sight again."

Tamamo nodded in agreement, the two women forming an unlikely alliance of pure stubborn loyalty.

The world seemed to freeze.Suddenly a blue portal appeared in front of them and out came Issei.

Issei stood awkwardly in the street, surrounded by silence so thick it felt like it could crush him. He scratched the back of his head and gave a weak laugh. "Heeeey… I'm back."

Yuuka and Tamamo were completely still. Even Sakura, small as she was, stared wide-eyed. Their silence was more terrifying than any angry yelling.

"Your back." Both girls soon rush to him and hug the brown haired boy.

"You just suddenly disappeared." Yuuka says holding him.

"We were worried something happened when I couldn't feel you through our bond." Tamamo says holding him tightly.

"Are you okay Papa." Sakura asks.

"Sorry. I was suddenly taken by the watch to a new world and couldn't give you a heads up. Tamamo, why are you and Sakura here?" Issei asks, confused at what those two were doing here. Completely forgetting to inform them of what is about to come out.

"Dummy. The moment I couldn't feel you. Of course I would rush to the last place you were." Tamamo angrily says not letting go.

Suddenly out from the portal stepped a tall, beautiful woman with long silver hair and eyes like sharpened blades—Karasuba. She looked around with disdain, then called back, "What's taking so long? I thought we were meeting your—" She paused, blinking at the tense standoff before her. "…friends?" she finished flatly.

Following her came Uzume, cheerful and energetic, Matsu adjusting her glasses with a mischievous glint, Akitsu with her stoic calmness, and Yashima, who shyly clutched a stuffed animal to her chest.

Finally, Miya stepped through, graceful and composed, carrying herself like a noble lady—but even she paused when she saw the look Yuuka and Tamamo were giving poor Issei. Before narrowing with suspicion at the frozen women across from them.

They each came with various packages and suitcases.

"Papa brought more pretty ladies home!" Sakura chirped, her innocent voice echoing like a gavel slamming down.

Issei winced. "Sakura, sweetie, not now—"

Yuuka's eye twitched.

"It's not what you think!" Issei stammered, frantically waving his arms in front of him like a madman trying to fan away incoming missiles.

"You disappeared without a word," Yuuka said slowly, dangerously. "And now you pop back out of nowhere... with an entire flock of beautiful women hanging off you?!"

"It's... it's complicated!" Issei squeaked.

Tamamo's smile was serene. Too serene. "Complicated... how, darling?"

Yuuka slowly stepped forward, the kind of deliberate motion that made Issei instinctively backpedal. "Issei Hyoudou. Explain. Now."

"I was going to!" Issei cried, hands flailing. "I meant to tell you—I was going to come out first and explain everything before they followed, but—Karasuba was impatient and—ugh, okay, look—" He took a deep breath and held up his hands in surrender. "I got dragged to another world by the watch. Accidentally. I didn't plan it. I lived there for a month. And... these girls—they're called Sekirei and they bonded to me. Literally. It's a whole thing with their species. They go around looking for their special destined one and connect with them for life and I accidentally connected with them by accident at first. I swear I didn't plan to cheat on both of you, Yuuka. I swear, I wasn't trying to replace you or anything. And we kept a respective relationship until I could speak with you. "

"That's not entirely true, there was a lot of kissing involved." Karasuba spoke up, having fun watching her Ashikabi squirm.

"Kissing?" Tamamo asked, voice sickly sweet. A dark aura started to form.

"Mostly forced upon them by their instinct because of them reacting to me!" Issei shouted.

Uzume coughed. "It was pretty magical, babe."

"NOT HELPING!"

Matsu was already taking notes.

Miya placed a hand on her chest, bowing gently to the two glaring women. "Please forgive our intrusion. I am Miya Asama. As the most recent of Issei's winged Sekirei… I hope we can resolve this peacefully."

Tamamo stared. "Did she just say most recent?"

Even Karasuba let out a low whistle.

Yuuka's hands trembled.

Until Sakura walked over to Issei, reached up, and pinched his leg hard. "That's for not calling us, Papa."

"Ow! Okay, I deserve that."

Tamamo let out a long sigh, rubbing her temples. "We'll talk. At home. All of us."

"Seconded," Yuuka muttered. "And Issei?"

"Y-Yeah?"

"You better not leave any details out."

As the group started to shuffle awkwardly toward home. Issei could only groan quietly to himself.

'Ddraig… Sherri… I'm so screwed.'

(Indeed, partner,) Ddraig rumbled with sympathy.

'You might want to sleep with one eye open.' Sherri added.
