Damien restrained himself from staring at her. Even Lyra had tugged his robe which made him conclude she wasn't a fool like she poised like.
He couldn't defend Danika. She was always getting into things he wouldn't be able to defend her from without being at lost.
And why was she staring at him like that? She had always ignored his gazes before, why was she staring at him now that she needed his help?
She should understand that she had a very complicated issue.
