Chapter 8 - The Age of Tutors

After surviving the Hollow Warzone, I was granted no rest.

No parades.

No praise.

Just silence—and then the next test.

Because in this kingdom, survival meant you're ready for more.

My bedroom became a sanctum of transformation. The marble floors were etched anew with arcane arrays, alchemical conduits, and kinetic-reaction nodes. The palace had shifted gears, no longer treating me like a boy—but like a sovereign-in-forging.

The King called them "tutors."

But they were far more than that.

Each one was a weapon in human form.

The first arrived cloaked in silver and cobalt robes, his eyes bound by a red silk blindfold.

He never gave a name.

But the system did.

[Specialization: Logic, Foresight, Chrono-Hazard Theory]

[Disposition: Hostile Neutral]

"Time," he said in a voice like fractured glass, "is not your ally, boy. It's your executioner."

He placed a black cube before me.

It floated.

Then unfolded.

Within seconds, we stood in a pocket dimension—an arena where time bent like clay.

"Escape before you age 1,000 years," he said simply. Then vanished.

The simulation began.

The second tutor was worse.

A bone-white giant, draped in obsidian plate and wrapped in chains that hummed with anti-magic resonance.

He never spoke.

But the air trembled when he moved.

[Instructor Profile: Commander Vhorr-Kan]

[Class: Martial Executioner / Level: 211]

[Specialization: Weaponless Combat, Pain Resistance, Close-Quarters Kill Philosophy]

[Disposition: Hostile Neutral]

He taught by breaking me.

Every strike was precise.

Every lesson left bruises under the skin, where healers couldn't mend.

But I learned.

To read stances before they form.

To use physics, not just speed.

To weaponize every inch of my surroundings.

And then… she arrived.

My magic tutor.

The one who made the castle windows tremble when she exhaled.

She wore gold-laced robes, floated rather than walked, and smelled of ozone and lavender.

Her voice was both gentle… and absolute.

"My name is Vel'Mira Ael'Thorne," she said, smiling. "But you may call me Mother."

I blinked. "What?"

The Queen gave a secretive smile.

"You didn't think I'd let your father have all the fun, did you?"

[Instructor Profile: Arch-Sorceress Vel'Mira Ael'Thorne]

[Class: Quantum Flame Matriarch / Level: 224]

[Specialization: High Arcana, Dimensional Fire, Aetherbinding, Genetic Mana Synchronization]

[Disposition: Protective-Strict]

She lifted her hand.

The chamber caught fire—blue, white, gold, spinning with glyphs.

"Lesson one," she said. "Burn everything you believe is true. Then we'll build you new truths."

Over the next year, my mind and body transformed under their collective guidance.

My strength stat increased through brutal trials with Vhorr-Kan.

My agility became sharper, smoother, and deadlier under simulations and duels.

And most importantly…

I unlocked Mana Integration.

[Mana: 10 → 72]

[New Skill Unlocked: Elemental Threading – Flame + Kinetic Warp]

[Sovereign Trait Bonus: +25% Skill Growth in Structured Environments]

I created my first personal spell at age five:

[Spell Created: "Stellar Burst"]

[Type: Condensed Kinetic-Flame Orb – Expanding Force Radius – Ignites upon contact]

[Mana Cost: 12 – Efficiency: 91% (Above Average)]

Elrin cried when he saw it.

He called it the work of a master.

My father simply nodded. "You're on schedule."

But even as I grew stronger, shadows stirred in the kingdom.

Whispers of strange disappearances in outer provinces.

Villages where people fell into comas, dreaming of stars not yet born.

A symbol burned into the soil: a spiral with thirteen points.

I recognized it.

Not from this world.

But from Earth.

[Alert: Cross-Dimensional Contamination Detected]

[Codename: Spiral Nexus – Cult Activity Confirmed]

[Connection Origin: Earth Year 2023 – Unresolved Temporal Hazard]

My heart went cold.

Something from Earth… followed me here.
