Matthias's heart pounded as he felt his wife's warm embrace. Initially, he'd been afraid she would scold him for what happened at the airport, but the reality was completely unexpected. Was what she was doing just an act to keep their relationship going? For some reason, seeing her suddenly acting sweet after her previously gloomy expression made him feel something was off.
His right hand slowly stroked his wife's beautiful hair. "I went out with Sawyer earlier. I really wasn't lying to you, honey."
"Did you think I would misunderstand seeing you suddenly hugged by Amber at the airport?"
Matthias immediately let go of the hug and knelt in front of his wife.
Victoria's eyes widened when she saw her husband take the initiative to kneel before her. "Why are you kneeling all of a sudden?" She grabbed his hand. "Stand up, Matthias!"
