Chapter 108 - LUCY AND AMANDA (TASTE OF REAL BATTLE)

"How long are you going to sit there and watch like the pathetic loser you are?"

Miyamoto's voice cut across the battlefield, sharp and mocking, every syllable dripping with challenge.

Alaska tilted his head, lounging on the throne-like chair he had conjured from shadows. His smirk widened as his eyes burned with amusement.

"Hah. Me? Pathetic? Not a bad phrase for someone of your level," he answered, his tone calm, unshaken. "But I'll let that one slide. You want this over with? Fine."

In a single movement, the chair dissolved into black mist. Alaska dropped from midair, boots hovering just inches above the cracked earth, as if the ground itself refused to accept his weight.

The two towering peak special darkside spirits appeared at his flanks, using Switch Mode to flicker beside him. Their movements were calm—almost casual—but the killing intent leaking from their armored bodies warped the air itself.

Alaska's smile grew colder as he began walking forward, the darkside spirits pacing with him like executioners.

"Killing those girls personally might haunt me later. I don't need that stain," he said, voice dripping with cruelty. "But eliminating a bigger threat? That's different. If I can't crush them myself, I'll order my underlings to do it without hesitation."

Miyamoto narrowed his eyes. His hand hovered near his blade.

"Don't make me laugh. You know what that order would mean. And you know exactly what I'll do to you if you dare," Miyamoto replied, voice deadly serious. He stepped forward, his aura flaring like a storm. "There's no need for my master to dirty his hands. I'll cut you down myself."

Alaska chuckled, his laughter echoing unnaturally through the battlefield.

"Hahahahahaha! That confidence of yours—I love it. You think you can take us on alone? How magnificent."

Miyamoto's lips curled into a smirk, his eyes sharp as blades.

"Don't underestimate me, moron. You couldn't handle me alone, and you know it. Two peak darkside spirits at your side won't change a damn thing."

The girls—Amanda and Lucy—stood far behind, unable to hear the venom-laced conversation. But Miyamoto suddenly turned his head, raising his voice so it carried across the battlefield.

"Listen well, Amanda! Lucy!" His shout cracked like thunder. "This monster just pissed me off, so consider this your first real training. You've spent months learning swordsmanship—today you fight with it. Eliminate these two peak special spirits. Don't you dare fail."

Lucy's eyes widened, fear choking her voice.

"W-What?! Master, they're peak special darkside spirits! We don't stand a chance—"

Amanda cut her off, gripping her sword.

"Shut it, Lucy! Stop acting like a scaredy cat! This is nothing compared to what we'll face in the future."

Alaska extended a hand lazily, his finger pointing forward. The two peak special darkside spirits shifted instantly, their armor clanking as they blurred into Switch Mode.

"Keep underestimating me and my companions, Miyamoto. You'll regret it."

Miyamoto drew in a long breath, his eyes never leaving Alaska.

"You've grown since last time, I'll admit it. Ten times stronger, new tricks up your sleeve. But don't mistake progress for supremacy." He reached for his swords. "I'm not the same as before either. Day after day, I rise. I sharpen. I level up. And I'll prove it now."

Twin blades hissed from his scabbards, both glowing faintly as Miyamoto poured Renshi into their steel. Then, with a pulse of energy, the other two blades in his scabbard lifted into the air on their own. They floated, trembling with power, before dissolving into the first two—melding, merging, fusing.

The weapons in Miyamoto's hands transformed. One gleamed blood-red, flames licking along its edge. The other shone with a chilling sky-blue, frost dripping from its blade. The clash of fire and ice painted the battlefield in dancing light and steam.

A fierce grin split Miyamoto's face.

"Heh… been a long time since I used these babies. Let's give it a shot."

The peak special darkside spirits flickered instantly, Switch Mode hurling them in front of Amanda and Lucy. They descended from above like falling meteors, fists drawn back and cloaked in black Renshi.

"Move!" Amanda shouted—both girls leaping back just in time.

BOOOOM!

Their fists slammed into the earth, ripping the battlefield apart. Stone shattered, buildings crumbled, shockwaves roared outward, tearing the ground where Amanda and Lucy landed.

The darkside spirits rose, cloaked in dark armor that pulsed with aura, their eyes glowing malevolently as they walked slowly toward the sisters.

Lucy trembled, gripping her sword that's still inside her scabbard with one hand.

"Sis… this is bad! They're too strong! How are we supposed to—"

Amanda snapped at her, her voice cutting through the fear.

"You fool! Don't forget our training! Draw your sword and fight! We can't humiliate Master here!"

With a deep breath, Lucy unsheathed her blade. Both sisters tightened their stance, standing shoulder to shoulder, swords ready. Their knuckles were white, but their eyes flickered with determination.

The two darkside spirits blurred again. Switch Mode.

"Watch out!" Lucy screamed, spinning with her sword raised.

CLAAAANG!

Her blade intercepted the crushing fist aimed for her back. The impact launched her like a cannonball, her body tearing through rubble and smashing through collapsing walls.

"LUCY!!" Amanda's scream split the air as her sister was hurled across the battlefield.

The second darkside spirit closed in, raining down punches like thunder. Amanda ducked, rolled, and narrowly avoided the devastating blows, each one leaving craters in the ground.

Her teeth clenched, her eyes burning.

"How dare you hurt my sister!" she roared, dark Renshi flooding her blade. She lunged forward, slashing at the nearest darkside spirit with all her strength.

Her sword crashed against its armor—sparks erupted.

But the darkside spirit didn't flinch. The blade hadn't even scratched it.

Amanda's eyes widened.

"…What?!"

The darkside spirit's fist drew back, black energy swirling.
