Time flowed like a river as the flames of war continued to burn. Three months has passed since Raven's group came here and during this time, they have been moving more precise than last time. The vast battlefield in space continues to rage as the war between the Demons, Devils, and the force of Kalpa intensifies. The expanse of space is filled with the wreckage of shattered ships, falling debris, and the remnants of battles waged. The chaos is unrelenting, and the atmosphere feels charged with the brutal energy of constant combat and bloodshed.
In the distance, Kael, the Fire Dragon, stands like a towering figure on the battlefield. Flames engulf his body as he faces the enemy, his saber slashing through foes with devastating precision. The power of his Dao of War shapes the battlefield as he commands the flow of destruction.
On another side, Krax, the Titan, uses his battle axes to cleave through the Wrath Demons and Devils, his Dao of Giants making him an unstoppable force of nature. Earthquakes follow each strike, shaking the battlefield as his Titanic might crushes all in his path.
Ethan, the human swordsman, wields his Blade of Soul with growing precision. His blade slices through his enemies in swift, controlled strikes, his calm determination reflecting his growth as a swordsman. Though still not perfect with the blade, his skill is undeniable.
Lucas, the vampire, moves with a predatory grace, his Dao of Blood giving him the ability to drain life from his enemies as he decimates them with his speed and ruthlessness. He is a force of vampiric might, with darkness swirling around him as he claims victory after victory.
With three months passing, totaling now 9 months since the war started, a shift was starting to brew. The battlefield feels alive, with the forces of Kalpa's strongest warriors and the Demon and Devils all caught in an endless clash. The air is thick with destruction, and the sounds of explosions, battle cries, and magical clashes fill the space.
Across the battlefield, the forces of Kalpa—led by the stronger cultivators—are engaged in fierce combat with the Demons and Devils. Wrath Demons, Devils, and their legions are scattered, each group facing Saint Rank cultivators and Peak Transcendent warriors in battle. Massive explosions rock the void as energy waves from skills and attacks ripple through the air, tearing apart anything they touch.
The chaos is palpable in the space around them, with cosmic energy storms lighting up the battlefield. Pieces of destroyed warships drift lazily as battle sounds echo across the void—explosions, clashing energy beams, and the occasional roar of a creature or cultivator.
As war and chaos raged on at the very front lines is where the real battles were—those who are pushing through the front lines of the war, aiming to break through the demonic barrier and reach the heart of the Demons. They are something similar to the vanguard, the leaders who have led the charge for Kalpa's troops.
Here the battlefield consisted of only Saints and Transcendent cultivators. One of them in particular, could be seen with daggers in hand slicing effortlessly through transcendent cultivators. The more blood her daggers felt the stronger she seemed to become.
As she charges into battle, her daggers gleam with the blood of fallen enemies, and her power grows. The field is littered with pools of blood, and she directly manipulates the blood of the Wrath Demons to make them fight amongst themselves.
This is of course Raven Bloodmoon.
Not too far from her, Elara could be seen wielding the power of nothingness. She unleashes waves of void energy, erasing the existence of enemies around her. Wrath Demons and Devils disintegrate into nothingness as Elara uses her mandate to nullify their attacks and shatter their defenses.
Next was
Liora, the Demonic Fox who could be described as a living deception. Liora weaves illusionary realities that trick the senses of her enemies. Her illusions are so convincing that they can physically affect the battlefield, confuse enemies and turn them into mere puppets of deception.
[A/N: Isis is present as well, however I won't go over he abilities again so soon, since she just had her introduction a few chapters ago.]
The Elven Queen could be seen making her presence known as well. Elyndra taps into the energy of nature, manipulating the life force of plants even in the vacuum of space. She can create vines, thorns, and entangling roots that bind, crush, and shackle enemies in place. Elyndra manipulates the cosmic flora around her, roots binding demons while nature's wrath unleashes storms of thorns upon the devil ranks, taking down their defenses.
A bit away from the Saints, more Transcendent cultivators could be seen fighting. Here Thalia and Sara both were fighting against Demons and Devils. Thalia in particular was someone who had previously caught Akasha's eye years ago. That was because she had special eyes that were sealed. These were the 'Eyes of illusion'.
After years of cultivating, she was now a step away from becoming a Saint. And after all of that her eyes had finally unsealed. Thalia's eyes possess the ability to manipulate and perceive illusions at an unparalleled level. With a single glance, she can bend reality around her, creating perceptions that deceive not just the mind but also the divine senses. Her illusions can alter the environment, trick the senses, and even fabricate entire realities, making her an expert manipulator of perception and the fabric of space itself.
Of course this was limited by her own strength, but it was still strong to say the least.
Sara was no slouch either, even if she was only an Alchemist. She thrived to the most unique Alchemist there has ever been. She never once wanted to be the absolute best Alchemist; she only wanted to be different from others and accomplish what they couldn't.
Sara uses her alchemy to manipulate not just physical substances but also the essence of life. She can transmute energy, create explosive compounds, and transform materials on the fly to turn the tide of battle. She crafts alchemical mixtures during battle—healing pills for allies and explosive concoctions for enemies. Her alchemy shields absorb damage, and corrosive gases destroy enemies from within.
She wouldn't allow the title of an alchemist hinder her one bit.
Back to the battlefield with the Saints, Kaelen, the dragon king was showcasing his raw strength as well. Kaelen embodies the unquestionable dominion over all creatures and natural forces. His unwavering leadership and absolute control make him an unstoppable force.
As he fought, he summons his Draconic fire powered by his Dao of Flames Kaelen breathes cosmic fire, reshaping the battlefield, subduing enemies with his commanding will, and creating fiery storms to obliterate foes and solidify his dominance.
Along with Kaelen there were the 3 male humans. These three men are formidable warriors, each excelling in different aspects of combat—swordsmanship, mental techniques, and battle tactics. They are quick, precise, and coordinated, with unparalleled skill in spiritual mastery and combat coordination.
As every one of these leaders of Kalpa made their presence known over the last three months they had finally cleared enough of the transcendent and Saint cultivators. Now they all moved towards the world's barrier.
After decimating the enemy forces, the cultivators approach the barrier that protects the Demon World. The massive force field hums with energy, defending the realm of the demons from external forces. As they near their goal, the air suddenly grows heavy, and the void trembles around them.
RUMBLEEEE
The atmosphere shifts, and a strange sense of despair fills the space. The Sorrowborns—female demons of overwhelming sorrow—step onto the battlefield, their presence warps reality, bending the emotions of everyone in their path. As the Sorrowborns approach, Raven is quick to speak her mind, but this time, Liora chimes in, her voice calm yet filled with a dangerous amusement.
"Tch, what a pathetic sight. These creatures think their sorrow, can break me? Please. If anything, it only makes me want to spill more blood." Raven spoke as her blood pools began to swirl in her eyes.
Liora steps forward, her nine tails flowing behind her like ethereal shadows. She smirks, clearly intrigued, though there's an undercurrent of mischief in her voice.
"Ah, yes, sorrow. It's always such a delightful spectacle, isn't it? The Sorrowborns are an interesting breed—pure emotion turned into form, weaving despair and suffering like a web. But... I can't help but wonder..." Her voice dripped in sarcasm as she spoke.
"Is their sorrow genuine? Or are they just as much a performance as the illusions I conjure?"
Liora steps closer, her gaze shifting to the Sorrowborns, her eyes flashing with the light of deception. She's fascinated, but she's also calculating.
Hearing all of this Elara spoke up as the Sorrowborns approached from the distance.
"Tch, this is just another distraction. They stand there, looking pitiful, thinking their misery will tear us apart. Let's not waste any more time on their empty drama."
Elara's voice is calm, but there's a hard edge to it, like the cold bite of a storm approaching. She steps forward, her figure radiating an aura of indifference, the concept of nothingness surrounding her like an invisible force.
"Sorrow, despair... It's all just a void to me. No matter how they try to weave it, their existence holds no weight. Their reality is already nothing. And that's all I care about, obliterating their presence from this battlefield."
And with those words the 10 Saints met the Sorrowborns head on.
