Chapter 155 - Putting Everyone on Notice - Umbra's Requiem

At the same time Elara was causing mayhem on the battlefield with Humans, other members of Akasha's group were making their own entrances. On a battlefield with Vampires and Devils a young man with white hair flowing down his back and black blindfolds on his eyes could be seen standing next to a beauty.

The woman had long pointy ears with golden hair that stopped at her shoulders. This was Jovian and Lex Sylvan, Lyria's older sister. They had met years ago when Jovian and the others first entered The Academy. Since then, a lot has happened and they hadn't seen each other, but it was surprising to find out they were in the same group.

Jovian being the guy he was took the initiative to reconnect with her. Currently they stood watching the battles between Vampires, Devils, and the troops of their army. On the battlefield only the weaker cultivators were fighting and none of the Saints could be seen, but Jovian could feel they were around, watching and waiting.

"Are we just going to sit here and watch?" Lex asked as she turned to look at Jovian. The last they met she was already in the Early Rebirth rank and now she was at the Peak of Rebirth. In 200 years of cultivating whenever she could she was able to make pretty good progress.

Jovian grinned a bit hearing her and then spoke.

"Of course, not. I just wanted to catch a good show before it ends." As he said this he reached his hand outward and then a pure white blade appeared in his hand. He then used his other hand to remove his blindfolds.

HUMMMMM!

Pure golden eyes showed brightly. After this he spoke once again.

"You know Lex, it's a good thing we had this opportunity to reconnect. This time you won't be able to escape from me." He said this as he flashed a smile at her. These words caused Lex to blush through her confusion. Jovian then turned his attention back to the battlefield and spoke once again before he moved.

"Anyways, it's time I spice things up a bit. Just sit here and look pretty for the time being, I will be right back."

He then disappeared and reappeared a bit above Lex. His eyes moved all over the battlefield as if he was looking for something. Right now, the two Saints were on the sidelines and waiting to enter the battle. Their presences were completely hidden using their various means.

However, to the eyes of Jovian, they might as well not even be hidden. His eyes of Heaven had now reached the Immortal Grade, which was the same grade as Raven's previous aspects. As he looked around, he could see thousands of threads from the top of each cultivator's head.

He could see these threads not because of an ability he activated, but because of a passive effect of his eyes. These were threads of fate, if he focused on a thread, it would show a entire person's life and possible futures. The futures he could see were like always not set in stone and they were not all clear at times either, but even then, it was enough.

As he looked around, he could see two threads that were slightly bigger and thicker than the rest. Once he saw these two, he smiled then spoke.

Concept of Weaving Fate

Mandate of Kairos

|Dissonance of Fate|

HUMMMM!!

The moment he activated these abilities his sword began to shine brightly. Then he swung it horizontally and sent a blinding sword arc towards both of the hidden saints. The arcs moved so fast that it made contact before they could even react.

And when it did there wasn't a violent after effect. Instead, the two Saints began to disappear and in a few seconds they both were gone. Without a sound or even putting up a fight they were completely eradicated. The crazy thing about it all was that even with the blinding sword arcs that shined over the battlefield none of this was noticed by anyone aside from Lex.

Even the people watching from the sidelines didn't know what happened, well aside from those strong enough. This is because of the abilities Jovian used, and each of them are just absurd. His concept 'Weaving Fate' allowed him to interact with the threads he could see in whichever way he liked. As long as he was stronger than a person, he could rewrite their entire life if he wanted to.

Next was the 'Mandate of Kairos' this was something he created with the use of the Daos of Karma, Fate, Destiny, Chronos, Vitality, Withering and Reincarnation. This mandate allowed him to have a connection with Fate much stronger than even Seers. With him already being a Seer and a Holder of Heaven's Eye this mandate made him like a God of Fate.

The Mandate of Kairos was much more lethal, but that was for another time. Lastly was his skill 'Dissonance of Fate' and this was one of the most absurd skills he created. This was a skill that didn't attack the flesh of a cultivator. Instead, it cuts the souls' destined path, it shreds apart the victim's future, purpose, and ties to Destiny.

Jovian created this skill with the purpose to cut what should be and replace it with voided potential. The reason no explosions resounded upon contact was because this attack is focused on the soul. Immediately after contact the target begins to fade from causality; forgotten by friends, family, and everything aside from the Akashic Records.

Once Jovian finished with this, he swung his blade again, but this time he aimed for thousands of the fighting Devils and Vampires. Then just like the two Saints they were completely erased from everything, but the records. The troops fighting them simply engaged with the closest enemy to them as if nothing happened.

Jovian then returned to Lex who was standing with wide eyes.

"Pretty cool, isn't it?" He asked with a sly smile. Lex subconsciously nodded her head before she gathered herself then she spoke.

"You're a complete monster! How are you so strong now?"

"Well, you could say I have a rich friend. Don't worry though he's your brother-in-law so I'm sure he will spread some love around."

Hearing this Lex raised an eyebrow.

"Brother-in-law?"

Jovian chuckled and began to explain a few things to Lex as they watched the battles continue. As he chatted with a beauty like he didn't just wipe out half of a battlefield, the other groups all were doing the same things.

By now every battlefield has seen the entrance of those from Kalpa and to say they put everyone on notice would be an understatement. Weeks passed as battles continued to rage on, but while the war continued the Major Factions of this Galaxy were all having a meeting through artifacts.

----

Sitting inside of a war planning room the Celestial Emperor could be seen looking at a projection. On this projection was the Emperors and Empresses of the other Races and Factions. They all have been at war for weeks now and the battles were only becoming more intense. Over this time each of them has had to deal with the entrance of a new force as well.

As the Celestial Emperor looked at the others he spoke.

"Has anyone found out anything about this new force? Who are they or where they come from?" His voice was tense because now was the worst time to be dealing with more unknown variables.

"According to some of them they come from a world called Kalpa. If I am not mistaken, that's the world that we all have been watching for a while now. That world has many races that were born there naturally which is a bit weird in itself." The one who spoke was the Empress of the Foxes.

"That world was only a high-level world though. They shouldn't have enough strength to participate independently in a battle of this scale." The Dragon Emperor spoke.

The Emperors and Empresses all began to add in their own thoughts as they talked about this new force. After a moment the Celestial Emperor spoke again.

"Alright, we will send some warships to the world of Kalpa. Since they have made their stances clear then we will not hold back against them. The war with the Devils is far from over and the last thing we need is others interrupting."

After saying this the others agreed and then they disconnected their artifacts.

---

While the War was picking up pace, Akasha, Amy, and Celeste were all handling their own business as well. It had been a few weeks since they arrived in this Galaxy and since then they have been anything but idle. The three of them split up and each went by themselves, Akasha made thousands of clones. Amy and Celeste both moved with 10,000 clones each and both of them had at least one with full power.

Currently Celeste found herself surrounded in the space outside of a world. Around her were hundreds of Devils, both men and women. Seeing this she didn't feel panicked at all, instead she was more relaxed than ever. She had been to many worlds before this one, so she was now used to being outnumbered.

Even with the 10,000 clones, the numbers of these Devils were just too many. This was also because Akasha wanted the two ladies to shine because he could literally spam them to death if he wanted.

Celeste grinned then activated her abilities.

Concept of The Shadow

Mandate of Shadowy Dominion

Umbra's Requiem

The moment she activated these skills her form shifted from corporeal into incorporeal and she became 100% shadow. Her concept allowed her to take control of all shadows and manipulating them would be like moving her own arms. Next was her Mandate which further strengthened her power of Shadows. Lastly was herself created skill 'Umbra Requiem'.

This skill is a shadow-based ability that combines motion, silence, and essence from the shadows itself. This move was not simply binding the shadows or moving undetected, but it was the official unmaking performed in the name of the shadows.

When using this skill, she uses a special mana that she discovered after one of her evolutions. Once she became a Shadow Human, she could use Shadow Mana, a form of mana that comes from the essence of shadows. This mana dwells between existence and the void.

The moment she used this skill she vanished a began her assault from within the folds of the dim and dark expanse of space.

SHK!

SHK!

SHK!

She moved completely undetected and effortless reaped the lives of Devil after Devil. As she gripped her daggers in her hands, she continued to press on reap lives. Each life she took left behind a silent song that only the dead could hear, a requiem.
