Chapter 104 - Even I'm Surprised

Back in the Eastern Continent Amy and Celeste were currently sitting next to each other in a massive tree. The tree was even larger than the biggest skyscrapers on Earth. It had been five months since they were at the Tavern.

During this time, they didn't do much besides gather information and wait. Today was the day they would make their moves and put Amy's plan into motion. Over the last five months the two women abused Celeste's shadow marking skill.

This skill worked on anything that had shadows. With this cheat like skill, they were able to map out the entire sect unnoticed. They did all of this while being sure not to alert the Mythical cultivator. It might seem tough, but they simply chose to avoid approaching the most secluded area.

With this done they were now ready to finish all of this. They knew it would be dumb to attack a Mythical ranked cultivator head on, but that's not what they planned to do at all. With the help of shadows, they will use the aspect of surprise for an advantage.

Sitting up on the tree they watched they sect from the distance. Celeste closed her eyes for a few seconds before opening them again. She looked at Amy and spoke.

"Alright they are gathering now."

"Good, let's get this over with." Amy said with a grin and a tone that dripped in confidence. She had no worry about failure because she knew everything would go perfectly.

Celeste nodded hearing this and melted into the shadows. Her destination?

Well, it was the very table the people were gathering around.

One would think her vision would be impaired right? Well, no, when Celeste is in the shadow of things or even people she gets a sort of 360 view.

So, it would be no problem for her to see what's going on.

After about 30 minutes the members of the 'Sect of Flames' were all gathered. At the table sat 4 women and 4 males. They all were early Rebirth cultivators and at the head of the table was a middle-aged man. He was the only Mythical Ranked cultivator of this continent.

Once they gathered the room was engulfed into a silence with all eyes on the man at the head who currently had his eyes closed.

Seeing this Celeste smirked while thinking.

'I guess Amy was right. People tend to gather the attention of the room before speaking then hopefully the rest of her plans goes right.'

As she thought this, she began to manipulate the shadows of the eight rebirth cultivators. Her objective was to simply bind them over time and not instantly. Since these cultivators were a minor rank below her this would easy, and it only took about 5 minutes.

Eventually the man began talking.

"I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that the power structure of this world will soon undergo a massive change. I'm not sure if it will be a bad thing or a good thing, but it will undoubtedly happen. A few days ago, in in the Southern Continent the entire Sect of Mount Kell was wiped out.

Nothing was left not even the mountains. I don't know what happened or who could've done something like this which is very bad. I have some speculations that I will mention after I finish.

The Good news is that of course we no longer have to worry about the Southern Continent. Also we will be welcoming some allies in a few years. I was able to enter into a partnership with another world, like us they too are fire cultivators. They will come here within the decade and help us out."

Hearing this everyone in the room was stunned even Celeste. The room was a deadly silent, but this was the exact moment Celeste had been waiting for. She put the other thought to the back of her mind and then she contacted Amy through a mental connection.

'NOW AMY!'

Immediately after she said that she jumped into the shadow of the Mythical Ranked Cultivator. Her only objective was to bind him for a few moments. Because at this time more than 50,000 meters away from the sect Amy stood on the same tree branch.

In her hand was a wooden bow that had no arrows. Even without the air she still drew her bow string took a deep breath released it. As she released it she activated an skill.

Law of Silent Gales - Dead Aim

*BOOOM*

She poured nearly 70% of her mana into this shot as the bow string let out the sound of a sonic boom. From her bow shot seemingly nothing, but in less than a moment an air of pure wind began to from.

The more the arrow formed the faster and stronger it became as it tore the air. This was because of her law, whenever she used law powered skills she could use the wind itself to form arrows. The more distance it crossed then the more power it would become.

And the skill?

Well, it's exactly what it sounds like. A guaranteed shot of death.... at least in most cases. In this current predicament the target was a cultivator much stronger than her so it definitely wouldn't result in this.

Back in the meeting room the middle-aged man slightly panicked when he felt his movement become strained. He tried to move slightly and noticed he was completely restrained. He frowned and then exerted some of his energy to break the restraints.

"Cough.... Fuck!"

Breaking the shadowy restraints caused Celeste to cough up a mouthful of blood as she was forced out of his shadow. He turned his attention to the beauty and covered his hand with fire.

"Who the hell are you?!"

Celeste flashed a bloody grin and spoke

"Boom."

Immediately after these words the middle-aged man felt his danger sense go off crazily. He turned his head and mere inches from is head was a huge arrow made up of pure wind. The arrow was so large, that it even tore a hole big enough for multiple humans to fit in right through the wall.

And what was odd was that nobody noticed or heard a thing.

Seeing the arrow he immediately tried to put up defenses, but it was too late.

BOOOOOM!

A resounding explosion happened through the meeting room that sent the middle-aged man flying. Seeing this Celeste knew that this was far from over.

She stood up and moved with haste. Her daggers appeared in her hand, and she melted into the shadows of the eight rebirth cultivators and sliced their necks. She then melted into the shadows once more and waited for the finishing act.

Amy was currently breathing heavy as she gripped her bow tighter. Seeing everything going as planned she pulled out a bottle of pills than were labeled 'Supreme Blood Booster'. These were a batch of pills that were made by Kent.

In a nutshell these pills gave the bloodline a booster which in turned increased the user's strength. It was similar to a berserker pill, but the difference was that it boosted everything about the bloodline similar to evolutions although much smaller.

In Amy's case she would find her innate Bowman ship increase and also her power with her law. With this in mind she swallowed two of them.

BOOOM

Her Aura immediately exploded and without wasting time she raised her bow again.

Law Of Silent Gales - Shot of Every Gale

She released her bow string and this time it was completely silent. Even after a few moments no arrow formed or nothing of the sort. But the moment she released her string she immediately became pale as she coughed a mouthful of blood up.

"Cough... shit.... at least it will be all worth it. I hope we can impress him." As she said this her vision began to blur, but she held strong.

Because what kind of bowman wouldn't watch the end result of their shot?

As the Middle-aged man walked back into the meeting room his clothes were completely disheveled. He was bleeding from head to toe, and it seemed like his wounds were struggling to heal. Seeing the dead bodies of all of his elders he roared.

"ARGHHHH!!!! I WILL KILL YOUUUUUU!"

As he said this in a fit of anger he began to search around the room, but he couldn't find the woman who appeared earlier. In all honesty he wasn't in his right mind at all. As a Mythical ranked cultivator, it would take but a second to find her with divine sense.

But him suddenly being cowardly ambushed and then seeing his dead elders threw him over the edge. Ironically, this is exactly what the girls wanted.

The man approached the elders and began to gather their remains. It was then he stopped and felt the atmosphere shift. Once again, he felt his sense of danger go off, but this time was much worse. This felt like death!

Hiding in the shadow of a door Celeste manipulated the shadows of the dead corpses and binded the man to them. Then she activated another skill

Law of Breathing Shawdows - Shadow Rebellion

As soon as this skill was activated every shadow in the room turned into sharp spikes and shot towards the man. Even though he was in rage this wouldn't catch him off guard twice so seeing this happen he burst into flames.

His entire aura was made up of flames and everywhere the flames moved the shadows burned. Celeste frowned seeing this, but she didn't give up.

"COME OUT BITCH! I WILL BURN EVERY SHADOW UNTIL I FIND YOU!!!"

The man roared as he began burning the entire meeting room to ashes. This forced Celeste to reveal herself and when she faced the man all he saw was the same mocking smile.

"Truly, I don't know how she predicted all of this, but even I'm surprised." Celeste said with a look of pure astonishment.
