Jin was walking down one of the long corridors of the Rotschy Manor, returning from the southern part where he had left Sion and Amelia at the hot spring. The quiet halls, made of gleaming black obsidian, reflected his image in a dim, majestic way. The pale violet light emanating from the torches fueled by the moon's mana made Jin's shadow stretch and sway on the walls.
With each step, his polished leather shoes made a firm, stern sound, accompanied by the swaying of the hem of his long black coat, which touched the ground. His black hair fell lightly over his forehead, partially hiding his left eye, while his red, crimson eyes, which usually flashed with mirth and sarcasm... now were empty and cold.
His usual smile disappeared, replaced by a rigid, mask-like expression. It seemed as if the mask he always wore in front of everyone... had been removed.
He said to himself in a stiff inner voice:
"I was about to make a big mistake… sending Rena to the hot spring with Sion and Amelia? That idea was crazy. It's a good thing Mom stepped in. Mom… saved me again."
He paused for a moment, a small smile spreading across his face, but it wasn't regret... because he didn't regret it. The Rotschy don't regret it, they learn, they analyze, they correct. And instead of dwelling on the regrets of the past, they look forward—just as he'd learned from his mother.
He continued walking until he reached the main hall. The silence was almost divine, and the air was heavy with the scent of dark, bitter black coffee, steaming from an elegant cup in Naoko's hand.
Naoko sat on the royal black sofa, her legs crossed slightly, her arms propped on the edge of the chair with deliberate flexibility, her black lace dress wrapped majestically around her body. Her soft white skin shone in the moonlight, and her silver eyes, like two pieces of ice, fixed on Jin when he entered.
She said in a cold, steady voice:
"Jin, come and sit down. We have something to discuss."
Jin quietly approached and sat opposite her on the couch, without saying a word. He didn't smile, he didn't crack a joke, he didn't sarcastically. This wasn't the Jin that others knew... but Naoko knew exactly who her son was in his silence.
She watched him for a moment, then said as calmly as the wind before a storm:
"Your plan was clever, to let Rena witness what Sion and Amelia were about to do, then have her step in, become a witness in front of me, and I do the rest. All this so you can keep your hands off the matter… right?"
Jin looked at her, a very faint smile tugging at the corner of his mouth.
"Yes."
Naoko answered immediately, without hesitation, with unblinking eyes:
"I understand your reasoning, Jin. A careful analysis. But you overlooked something essential… The relationship between Rena and Amelia is not like ours, you and I. That relationship carries a complex, painful, fragile history deep down. If Rena saw her mother in that situation with Sion… she wouldn't just be angry, she'd be devastated."
She was silent for a moment, then continued, just as coldly:
"She won't just hate Sion. She'll lose trust in Amelia, and she might even hate herself. The worst thing anyone can go through is seeing those they love behave in ways they consider shameful. You didn't think about the psychological consequences, Jane."
Jin listened quietly, his eyes reflecting something between respect and acceptance. He didn't defend. He didn't interrupt. He knew she was right.
"Sion is not a Rotschy, even if you consider her a second mother. And Amelia, though she is your wife's mother, remains an Amberhart. You dragged Rena into a problem that doesn't belong to her, neither spiritually nor politically. And you forgot a simple rule... the Rotschy don't meddle in matters that don't concern them."
Naoko calmly lifted the coffee cup, took a small sip, and then looked at him again, her eyes now filled with a sharp analysis:
"You calculated it that way, didn't you?"
She pointed as if she were counting on her fingers:
"First: You couldn't refuse sion. Because you owed her, and you saw her as someone who once cared for you.
Second: I wanted Rena to be an indirect factor in stopping what might happen, because if she intervened, she would stop everything.
Third: You wanted to show Sion that you were neutral, that you were far from everything.
Fourth: If all these plans had failed, Rena would have come to me, and I would have intervened in time."
She was silent for a second, then said calmly:
"Your calculations were accurate, yes. But you forgot that there is an emotion that cannot be counted... shock."
Jin looked at her and nodded.
"You're right, as always."
He said it in a low voice, a faint smile beginning to return to his lips, but this time it was sincere, devoid of sarcasm.
Naoko closed her eyes for a moment, as if assessing the answer, then opened them again:
"Anyway... what you did with Rena in the karaoke room was smart of you. Not only because you gave her what she wanted... but because you freed her from her old love, from her distraction, from her feelings of jealousy. You made her trust you, with her body, with her heart. You gave her your sister Astell hair tie, to bind herself to you with... an unspoken covenant."
She paused, then said in a low but firm voice:
"Don't do that again, Jin. Don't interfere in matters that don't concern our family. Don't interfere with Psion, or with Amelia. Even if you love them."
Jin looked up at her, his sarcastic smile clearly back, his crimson eyes flashing with amusement again
"Okay... I promise. I won't do it again. At least, not publicly."
Naoko shook her head and resumed drinking her coffee, but her eyes never left her son.
"At least they don't do their dirty deeds inside my house."
Jin laughed, then grabbed a glass of water and drank. As he drank, he suddenly froze.
His eyes widened. And suddenly... spit! He spat water out of his mouth, splattering all over the floor. The edges of the couches, the carpet, and even the small table in front of him were wet.
But… Naoko? Not a single drop touched her.
She said, placing her cup gracefully on the table:
"What now?"
Jin looked at her, with shocked eyes, and said:
"Oh my god… I wish I had put a camera in the hot spring!"
Naoko looked at him blankly, then continued drinking her coffee calmly, while Jin dramatically threw himself on the floor, pretending to cry.
And there... entered Shezana, the white wolf, with her thick, soft fur, long ears, and icy eyes. She approached Jane, gently shook her head, and whispered:
"What happened to my master?"
Naoko answered coldly, without even looking at them:
"As usual. Nothing new."
Naoko raised her strength and started sipping her coffee, then she thought and watched her son.
This has evolved well he no longer thinks about his projects or instincts when he stopped Rena from having a connection with
them at karaoke because he achieved his goal there is no need for him to escalate and develop the matter to a level where things
might get out of control if he was any other boy he would have run after his lust like an animal to have sex this he broke Rena's
chains intelligently and not through feelings of petty and ridiculous love
.......
Heat: What do you think? I told you that Jin wouldn't do anything without a reason. Jin already said it, "I'm evil."
But I have a question, do you want me to write a whole chapter about what Sion and Amelia did or do you want to stay like Jin who didn't watch anything
