Chapter 1 - " the battle that started it all "

Every great story always begins with a great battle.

And this battle marked the birth of a legendary king—

a man so powerful it was said he could lift mountains and bend the mightiest monarchs to his will.

At that time, an endless war raged between demons and humans.

On the human throne sat King Edward, a sovereign of almost unreal beauty, whose smile radiated the assurance of kings and the determination of heroes.

Edward dreamed of a world at peace, where humans and demons could coexist. But that dream was not shared. The two sides harbored an ancient hatred: humans, influenced by their religious beliefs, saw demons as abominations—enemies of their faith. The demons, on the other hand, hated humans without any clear reason, viewing them merely as prey. They fed on human flesh to grow stronger, and each fallen soldier only served to increase their power.

This war had lasted for a millennium. No one could predict its outcome, and many believed it would only end when one race had completely annihilated the other.

But in the heart of darkness, an unexpected spark emerged.

A demoness named Draselia, known for her fierce hatred of humans, would become the key to a change no one had seen coming…

Far across the demon lands lived Draselia, unlike any other demon.

Rare among her kind, she possessed a unique gift—the ability to give birth to new demons. This power made her a revered figure across the realm.

The Demon King, Corion, the most powerful of all demons, found her irresistible. Draselia's unmatched beauty and fiery nature only deepened his fascination. Even Corion, whose very presence made armies tremble, could not break her will. He was madly in love with her.

To win her favor, Corion promised her entire lands and even entrusted her with the Key to the Barrier Between Worlds—the sacred passage between the demon and human realms.

But Draselia could not be bought.

In truth, she had only one dream: to escape her stifling world and explore the realm of humans. Though she had never seen them, their mere existence stirred a deep curiosity in her. She wanted to understand them—their culture, their minds, and above all, why they were so deeply hated.

Every time she voiced this desire to the King, the conversation grew tense.

– King Corion: "I will not let you cross that barrier to see those... humans."

– Draselia: "But what's wrong with wanting to understand them?"

– Corion: "I said no! Do you even know what they're capable of? These beings are ruled by a king, yes—but they act like wild beasts. They respect nothing of what we are. They are murderers."

– Draselia: "But have you even tried to speak with them? To understand their reasons? What drives this war to go on?"

– Corion: "I don't need to talk to guess their intentions. Their only goal is our destruction. They see us as enemies of their god, and their faith justifies their hatred. Do you even know how this war began?"

– Draselia: "No. Tell me."

– Corion: "Once, we lived in peace. Humans and demons shared the world. Then one day, without warning, while we slept, they attacked. They betrayed our trust. Do you think that's normal?"

– Draselia: "What you're saying… it doesn't make sense. How could a people we lived peacefully with turn on us without reason?"

– Corion: "It's the truth. Humans are unpredictable. Unworthy of trust. And if you ask me… they all deserve to vanish."

The king's words echoed like thunder in Draselia's mind. Doubt had taken root within her. Yet she wasn't about to give up.

Determined, she resolved to uncover the truth of this endless war.

A truth no one seemed willing to reveal…

---

Draselia, Queen of the Demons, was stubborn. Once she set her mind to something, she would defy all rules to achieve it.

The human world was separated from the demon realm by an invisible barrier, locked by a spiritual key held only by the Demon King…

Or rather, the one he had gifted to Draselia as a token of love.

Draselia had a single goal: to enter the human world. Yet she knew nothing of the barrier's workings or the true power of the key she had received.

To cross the threshold, she would need help from a major demon.

In the demon realm, the hierarchy was rigid and unbreakable.

Minor demons, also called Executioners, lacked intelligence. Their mana was weak, and they lived only to serve.

Major demons possessed far greater mana and intellect, forming the elite.

The Demonic Dukes held the highest rank beneath the king. Few demons reached this level, but their strength was such that a single duke could end a war.

Legends tell of one duke who single-handedly destroyed an army of over ten thousand men, striking terror into the hearts of humans. Since that day, no duke had stepped onto a battlefield, choosing instead to remain in the king's inner circle.

Then there were the Grand Sages. Their powers were a mystery. None had ever seen them, but their existence was accepted as fact.

They were said to maintain the balance of the demon realm.

This hierarchy was determined at birth.

No demon could rise in rank without intelligence—making it impossible for a minor demon to become king.

Draselia sought out Draguot, a respected major demon, powerful and loyal to the Demon King, but also secretly devoted to Draselia.

Willing to do anything for her, he revealed a vital truth.

– Draguot: "This spiritual key is held only by the Demon King. Without it, passing into the human world is impossible, Lady Draselia."

– Draselia: "You mean this key?"

She pulled out the key and showed it to him.

He was stunned. That the Demon King had given such a treasure to a single demoness proved his overwhelming love.

– Draguot: "With that key, it is possible to travel between the worlds."

– Draselia: "Then let's go now, Draguot! I'm so excited! Where is the portal?"

– Draguot: "The portal? It's invisible, Lady Draselia.

The very space itself collapses when the key is activated."

– Draselia: "So I just… point the key into the void?"

– Draguot: "Something like that, yes."

Draselia raised the key, but nothing happened.

Frustrated, she twisted it in the air as though unlocking a door.

A deep rumble echoed.

A blinding light burst forth.

A black hole formed, immediately pulling Draselia and Draguot inside before slamming shut.

In the chaos, Draselia dropped the spiritual key—

The only object capable of reopening the portal.

It remained behind, abandoned… sealing the fate of the Demon Queen.

And so, Draselia and Draguot were thrown into a hostile, unknown world—

With no way back.
