I never wanted to become a killer and craved a better story in my life.
A story where I don't have to be chased down by the police and carefully think about each step I take.
It became increasingly exhausting each day.
But the moral in the god forsaken world wasn't worth a coin.
I appeared more like a vigilante than a killer.
Someone who enforces law and order by their own initiative.
After some time, I began to question my own morals.
I wasn't willing to move forward anymore.
Unfortunately, the lack of willpower caused me to go to prison.
And now I'm in hell...!
At least my room is quite comfortable.
My bed wasn't looking back at me hurting, and the place had a welcoming touch.
I surveyed my new home little by little. It was still a prison cell, but more luxurious.
The walls weren't gray but white.
There was a closet on the opposite side of my bed.
Inside was nothing but dust.
'How long has nobody used that thing'
There was also an extra room to shower and to go to the toilet.
And most importantly, a nightstand with a lamp on top next to my bed. And on it was a gadget that looked like a tablet with weird-looking horns sticking out on top.
I took it into my custody, trying to find out what that thing is capable of.
'Is that the gadget the devil was talking about?'
Tapping on it didn't do anything. There was also not a single button to turn it on.
But there was a slit below.
Big enough to fit my card inside!
I grabbed the ID card out of my pocket and tried to insert it into the slit.
It was a bit rough to get it in. Compare it with a USB Stick. You try to put it in, but you will never get it on the first try.
After some tries....

'Welcome Fellra. How may I assist you?'
Below the welcoming text, many app-like icons popped up.
A coin, a steak, a speech bubble, prison bars with a fiery background.
Some others appeared to be gray. Perhaps I'll have to unlock them... but how?
Before figuring that out, I pressed on the coin
symbol.

'How do I earn money tho...maybe absolving these hellfloors'
I clicked on the arrow in the upper left corner, returning me to the homescreen.
The app that seemed quite important was the prisonbar icon one.
But after clicking on it
'Why doesn't it work? Isn't it unlocked?'
Before wasting too much time, I removed my card from the gadget.
Lying it back where it was, I decided to go out of my room.
'Maybe I'll find Hira. I hope she's doing well'
Remembering back she was in shock for a short moment, not wanting to continue. But hearing the opportunity to change your life gave her the gleam back.
I wasn't expecting much after stepping out.
It might be a dark, sad-looking, boring building.
Luckily, my imagination was wrong.
Everything was white and golden. The walls, the floor, and the ceiling.
Warm light filled the building. It was still a prison, but a dream one.
"Give him back!"
"Mh?"
Continuing my way down quickly, I spotted a two-man altercation.
One of them is pressed against the wall, and the other one is holding something in his hand.
Looking more closely I was a bit puzzled
'Is that a chameleon?"
Perhaps he stole it from the green spiky-haired guy on the wall?
"And what if I won't give him back?"
"You don't want to figure it out"
"And what when I do want?"
He's smirking at the green guy. It doesn't seem he's willing to let the reptile go anytime soon.
Before anything worse will happen...
I grabbed his arm from behind.
Surprised, he looked back at me with a scowl.
"Let me go, boy!"
He's slightly taller than me and his voice was intimidating.
Every normal person would be cowed at this point. But I could stand him with no sweat.
I strengthened my grip around his arm.
"I said let the reptile go"
After looking deeper, seemingly more dangerous into my eyes he gave in.
The chameleon he freed immediately went onto the person's green head and changed its color.
He pushed my hand away, freeing himself from my grip.
Without a peep, he just walked away.
"Thank you for helping me..."
"Not a big whoop. But why is there a chameleon"
Besides that, a chameleon is an interesting pet choice.
" That's my buddy Chemmy and my name is Togeka. We both landed in this eerie place together."
The chameleon has emerged from its camouflage.
I guess because the surrounding seems safe to him.
"And moments later, we woke up inside the test earlier, before Chemmy and I bumped into this gloomy guy."
"So why the commotion?"
Tagelang shook his head. He was equally surprised after he got harassed by him.
"Unfortunately, I can't give you the reason... ehhh?"
"Fellra. Call me Fellra"
"Fellra! Where did you head to, actually?"
I wasn't sure either. Everything here seems so odd and eerie.
But my main goal was to find Hira.
"Just looking around this place to find a friend and having a better understanding of where we are."
Togeka nodded in understanding.
********************
"You know you don't have to help me right?"
Togeka accompanied me in finding Hira with his chameleon Chemmy resting on his shoulder.
"You've helped my buddy, so of course I want to give you something in return as a thank you. Am I right Chemmy!?"
Ghraaar
Chemmy answered after catching a flying insect with his tongue.
'I didn't know that chameleons make sounds'
Down the hallway was a big double door.
A freezing feeling went down my skin, thinking about what happened last time a door was opened.
But behind that door, I could sense voices from others.
'Perhaps she's behind that door'
I wrapped my hand around the door, pulling it wide open.
"...!"
My eyes squint in the gleam of the sun, fresh air fills my lungs, and the voices of people fill the atmosphere.
We were in the backyard of the building.
Green grass, red, yellow trees, and bushes in an artistic form blessed the view.
'From the inside it looks like a prison, but the outside looks like heaven.'
The backyard was filled with fitness equipment, like a bench press or a Treadmill.
Togeka was as surprised as I.
The devil talked about 'Hellfloors' and dying.
The sight was more the opposite of hell. The expression of these people was serene rather than scared.
'My gut is telling me that there's something wrong...'
Maybe he wants us to feel safe... manipulating our brains isn't hard.
I was skeptical about all this.
"Hira isn't here. let's go back in"
As I closed the door, I noticed something.
To our left was another door.
I haven't seen it after we passed it. Have we just overlooked it?
Light is shining through the slit of it.
"What is that?!"
Togeka asked warily.
As we closed the distance between us and the door, the sound of flooding water increased.
Maybe another part of the garden? But there wasn't any voice coming through.
'Should we open it?'
I gritted my teeth and pulled the door open.
Behind it was a green forest with the sound of singing birds filling the air and the sound of the river.
I gave Togeka and brief gaze, nodding at him.
With awe, I took the first steps through the door, followed by Togeka and Chemmy.
We were blinded by nature. So much so that we haven't realized that the door disappeared.
Togeka noticed it first, then me.
"Where... is the door?"
Togeka was bewildered as I was.
AAAARRRRGH
Bang!
Bang!
"...!?"
A scream and two gunshots spread across the forest.
The river started to change its crystal clear water to blood red.
'Is that one of these Hell Floors?'
