"Is it here?"
It was almost dark, but at least the two of them could see where they were. They stood somewhere that looked like the rest of the forest, positioned before a huge, silent tree.
"Yes," Lenny nodded, pointing. "This is where it leads."
Eden stared at the trunk. "So what are we supposed to do? Talk to the tree and ask where the Wizard of El's powers are?"
"You're the wizard. You should touch it or something," Lenny said.
"Who goes around touching trees? That's strange—" Eden brushed his palms against the bark, and immediately, a blue light shone.
The bright light forced them to stagger backward, covering their eyes with their hands; it was blinding.
When they looked again, they saw a blue, portal-like hole in the tree. It resembled an abyss.
"Woah. I guess it worked," Eden blinked.
"Told you," Lenny said. "Now let's get going."
Eden stared at Lenny. "Is it even safe?"
