Chapter 67 - 《Naruto: Deidara's Struggle》Chapter 2: The Konoha Destruction Plan

"Is that all?"

"Watch this!"

"C2 Special Type: Golem!"

With his mastery of the Human Form Mastery, Deidara easily created an identical clay replica of a person. The thrill of plagiarizing others was truly exhilarating!

"Akatsuchi Shock Value +1000"

The two giants clashed, and naturally, the clay golem was being pounded. However, due to the flexibility of the clay creature, it quickly regained its form despite being battered, rendering the stone golem's punches as ineffective as hitting a rubbery substance.

"Alright, you should hurry back to Iwagakure."

"Tell that old man, the Third Tsuchikage, not to bother me! I have very important things to do!" Deidara waved dismissively.

Akatsuchi's expression was complicated. He knew he had lost. If Deidara were to detonate such a massive clay bomb, they wouldn't be able to stop him.

Oh well, it's normal for a senior to be outshined by juniors, as movies and novels often depict. Akatsuchi consoled himself with thoughts from movies and novels he had seen.

"Great!" Kurotsuchi clapped her hands in delight; now no one would compete with her for the position of the Fourth Tsuchikage!

"Go die, Kurotsuchi!"

"At least show some sadness!"

"Clay Serpent Hands!"

Several long white clay snakes unexpectedly wrapped Kurotsuchi up like a dumpling. Faced with these giant serpents, Kurotsuchi began to cry in fear.

"Wah! No!"

Deidara nodded in satisfaction and mounted his Clay Bird. "Crying for your senior's departure, now that's a good little junior!"

After this little episode, Deidara and Sasori swiftly traversed various regions, reaching the Hidden Sound Village in the Land of Rice Fields within a day.

The village was still under construction, with construction sites everywhere. However, overall, it was quite small, with only about a hundred ninjas, all of whom were either Orochimaru's experimental subjects or occasional recruits.

A white-haired boy with two dots on his forehead approached, holding a bone blade. He asked warily, "Who are you?"

"With that appearance, are you from the Kaguya clan, which has disappeared from Kirigakure?"

"Orochimaru really got a good bargain," Sasori said with interest. Hearing the name of the person he respected most, Kimimaro became agitated. He slowly removed his shirt, preparing for battle.

"If you don't speak, don't blame me for being rude!"

"Stay back, let me handle this!" These people were Orochimaru-sama's assets and couldn't be harmed easily.

"Deidara, let me take care of this," Hiruko's tail extended from behind, eager to test the Kaguya clan's abilities.

Deidara didn't mind. After all, enemies of this level wouldn't even give him experience points anymore, and his clay was difficult to control; he might accidentally kill someone.

"Ten-Finger Drilling Bullets!" Kimimaro fired his finger bones like bullets at Hiruko.

Ding!

Hiruko's tail easily blocked the attack.

Seeing that the enemy wasn't easy to deal with, Kimimaro stopped probing and used a more powerful technique.

"Dance of the Clematis: Flower!" He pulled out his spine, wrapping Hiruko tightly, and then covered his right hand with bone, forming a sharp bone drill aimed at Hiruko's head.

"Too weak!" Hiruko spewed flames from its mouth, melting Kimimaro's bones with high temperatures, forcing him to retreat.

But what followed was a barrage of mechanical attacks from Hiruko, quickly pushing Kimimaro into a corner.

"Is that all?" Sasori said, losing interest. To ordinary people, Kimimaro was a genius, but among the monster-filled Akatsuki, he was nothing special.

Seeing the overwhelming strength of the enemy, Kimimaro felt he had to use his strongest attack.

"Bracken Dance..."

A pale arm appeared, interrupting Kimimaro's technique.

"Stand down, Kimimaro. I'll handle the rest."

A familiar voice sounded. Kimimaro looked up at the man he respected most and respectfully replied, "Yes, Orochimaru-sama!"

"Deidara, Sasori, what brings you to me this time?" Orochimaru asked in his silky voice.

"About the Hashirama cells from last time, have you made any progress?"

"I have made some progress."

Hearing this, Orochimaru licked his lips with his long tongue, leading the two into the base of the Hidden Sound Village.

He brought Deidara and Sasori to a large tank filled with nutrient fluid, inside which a person had a tree growing out of their back.

Or rather, a tree had a person growing from it.

"The cells of the First Hokage are extremely invasive. Any experimental subject who receives even a small amount of these cells will gradually be consumed and turn into a tree."

"But recently, I've extracted some relatively safe cells. This experimental subject is a step forward. Although he hasn't completely resisted the cellular invasion, he hasn't been entirely consumed either, and he can use some simple Wood Release."

Orochimaru explained with glowing eyes, seemingly imagining the moment he fully mastered the power of the First Hokage's cells.

The best method would be for Deidara to capture a White Zetsu. With a reference sample, Orochimaru's research would surely progress rapidly.

Unfortunately, White Zetsu was elusive and impossible to catch.

So, Deidara proposed two potentially effective hypotheses based on his knowledge of the storyline.

"Perhaps something else could be used to balance the invasive nature of Hashirama's cells?"

"For example, the Sharingan. After all, one represents the pinnacle of Yin Release, and the other the pinnacle of Yang Release. Combining them might yield unexpected results."

"Oh? Deidara, I didn't expect you to be so knowledgeable in these matters?" Orochimaru looked over with surprise, not expecting Deidara to have such unique insights in scientific research.

This idea wasn't without merit. Orochimaru thought of Konoha's Danzo, who could suppress the First Hokage's cells. He had always been puzzled by this, but now it seemed the Sharingan might have been the key, creating a balance by accident.

"Yes, I've put in the effort to defeat Itachi," Deidara replied evasively.

"Itachi Uchiha?" Hearing this name, Orochimaru couldn't help but lick his lips again. He truly coveted Itachi's body, but it was unattainable.

No matter, he had now set his sights on the Uchiha orphan in Konoha. As Itachi's brother, he must also possess considerable talent!

"And the other idea?" Orochimaru pressed.

"It's said that the Senju clan and the Uzumaki clan are distant relatives. Perhaps their cells are much more compatible." Deidara shared his second idea.

Orochimaru nodded. This theory also made sense. Although there weren't many members of the Uzumaki clan left in the ninja world, it was still possible to find a few. He planned to send his subordinates to capture one immediately.

After discussing these matters, Deidara intended to talk to Orochimaru about the Third Hokage. After all, the Third Hokage originally died at Orochimaru's hands, and now it was just a matter of advancing the timeline by a few years. Orochimaru would likely agree.

Unexpectedly, before Deidara could speak, Orochimaru brought it up first.

"I want you to pay me in advance for the research on Hashirama's cells."

"What do you want?" Deidara asked curiously.

"I want you to help me execute a plan." Orochimaru spoke slowly, his tone carrying a hint of gravity.

"What plan?"

"The Konoha Destruction Plan!"
