Chapter 539 - Chapter 539: Raditz : Its not my fault

Raditz launched himself forward with explosive force, his entire body transforming into a streak of silver-white light as he attacked the God of Destruction directly. Divine energy surged through his limbs, perfected Ultra Instinct enhancing his speed and power to levels that transcended mortal comprehension. The sheer pressure of his assault made the air itself scream in protest.

This wasn't the strength any Supreme Kai should possess. Quitela had known intellectually that Raditz was powerful—the rankings and Beerus's grudging respect had made that clear—but knowing something and experiencing it firsthand were entirely different matters.

CRACK!

The punch connected with Quitela's jaw before the God of Destruction could fully react. The impact sent him flying backward, his feet skidding across the ground for dozens of meters before he managed to arrest his momentum. Smoke rose from the furrows his claws had carved in the pristine floor, the friction having generated enough heat to scorch the supposedly indestructible material of his own realm.

"Oh my." Frieza watched from a safe distance, one hand hugging his chest while the other supported his chin in a gesture of theatrical contemplation. His lips curved into a delighted smirk. "How unfortunate for Lord Quitela."

Quitela straightened slowly, wiping a trickle of purple blood from the corner of his mouth. Now he understood Cognac's warning. Raditz hadn't been bluffing. The Saiyan genuinely possessed strength to back up his arrogance.

But understanding didn't mean acceptance. Quitela had the pride of a God of Destruction flowing through his veins—pride built on millions of years of supremacy, of standing unchallenged at the apex of power. He would never, could never admit that some upstart Supreme Kai might actually surpass him.

"I'll give you credit," Quitela said, rolling his shoulders and neck as purple destructive energy began to gather around his form. "It's been ages since I've encountered a Supreme Kai with this level of combat ability. But—" his smile turned vicious "—that was just a sucker punch. You caught me off-guard. It won't happen again."

"We'll see about that," Raditz replied evenly.

Then his expression shifted into something more unsettling—a smile that carried confidence bordering on smugness, with just a hint of malicious intent lurking beneath.

He floated upward into the air, rising until he hovered well above Quitela's position. Then, with deliberate slowness, he raised one arm toward the sky, palm open and fingers spread as if grasping at something invisible.

Quitela watched the gesture with growing confusion. "What are you doing? Surrendering already? Or perhaps you're—"

His words died as his face went pale.

Above Raditz's outstretched hand, space itself began to ripple like the surface of disturbed water. Reality warped and twisted as dimensional barriers bent under tremendous force. A shadow fell across the Destroyer's Realm—small at first, then rapidly expanding as something impossibly massive began to manifest.

The spatial distortion intensified, and suddenly Quitela could see what was emerging: a planet. An entire celestial body, complete with continents and oceans visible on its surface, being pulled through dimensional space directly into the Destroyer's Realm.

"You—" Quitela's voice cracked slightly. "You're moving an entire planet?!"

As a Supreme Kai, Raditz possessed certain unique abilities that Gods of Destruction lacked—powers related to creation and cosmic management rather than pure destruction. One such ability was the manipulation of celestial objects, the capacity to move planets and stars through the universe as needed to maintain cosmic balance.

Shin had taught him the technique years ago, back when Raditz was still relatively new to his divine role. At the time, moving even a single planet had required enormous effort and concentration. Now, having ascended to full godhood and mastered his powers? The task barely registered as an inconvenience.

The planet descended toward Quitela like a meteor of continental proportions. Its diameter exceeded the entire visible area of the Destroyer's Realm, and its mass blocked out the light from above, casting everything into ominous shadow.

Quitela's shock transformed into fury. "You think such a CHEAP TRICK will defeat me?!"

He thrust both arms forward, and a sphere of energy materialized between his palms—blazing red and white like a miniature sun, radiating heat that made the air shimmer. With a roar of effort, he hurled it at the approaching planet.

The energy bomb struck the planet's core with devastating precision.

BOOOOM!

The explosion was apocalyptic. The entire planet disintegrated into its component atoms in a flash of light so intense it temporarily blinded anyone looking directly at it. The shockwave rolled across the Destroyer's Realm like a physical wall of force.

From his observation point, Frieza raised an arm to shield his eyes from the glare. "How dangerous," he murmured, though his tone carried more excitement than actual concern.

As the light began to fade, Quitela started laughing triumphantly. "HAHAHA! You see, Raditz? Your parlor tricks are—"

He stopped mid-sentence.

Above Raditz's palm, another planet was materializing, pulled from somewhere else in the universe with casual ease. The Supreme Kai raised an eyebrow, his expression mockingly innocent.

"Can you handle another one?"

"AS MANY AS YOU LIKE!" Quitela bellowed, though a vein had started pulsing in his temple.

"Then catch!"

Raditz hurled the second planet downward with a gesture. But he didn't stop there—immediately, his other hand rose, and a third planet began emerging from dimensional space. Then a fourth. A fifth. He pulled celestial bodies from across the universe and launched them at Quitela in rapid succession, creating a literal bombardment of worlds.

"What about this one?" Crash!

"And this?" Boom!

"Getting tired yet?" Crack!

Quitela's response was to unleash a continuous barrage of energy bombs, each one perfectly calculated to intercept and obliterate the incoming planets. His expression had shifted from fury to something almost manic—a competitive drive that made him treat this as a game rather than a battle.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Planet after planet exploded into cosmic dust. Quitela and Raditz faced each other across the void between them, one throwing celestial bodies while the other destroyed them, both seemingly locked in a bizarre contest of endurance.

"HAHAHA!" Quitela laughed wildly between attacks. "You see, Raditz? You can't touch me! No matter how many planets you throw, I'll destroy every single one! I am the ULTIMATE God of Destruction!"

"Interesting," Raditz mused aloud, already pulling more planets from across space. "Then I suppose I'll need to increase my ammunition supply."

He accelerated the rate of his attacks, summoning planets in clusters now—three at a time, four at a time, sometimes even five simultaneously. They fell toward Quitela like a meteor storm, an endless rain of worlds that would have horrified any mortal observer.

For Raditz, this was the first time he'd truly pushed his Supreme Kai abilities to their absolute limits. It was almost exhilarating—discovering that yes, this was exactly the kind of application his divine powers were meant for. Creation and manipulation of cosmic objects on a scale that defied comprehension.

Quitela shook his head in what seemed like pity. "You really are foolish, aren't you? Don't you understand that this is pointless?"

As the latest wave of planets converged on his position—a dozen worlds creating an artificial sky that blocked out all light—Quitela's aura shifted. The standard purple energy of a God of Destruction transformed into something else. The color became paler, almost translucent, but the power radiating from it increased exponentially.

Destruction energy. Pure, absolute, capable of erasing anything from existence at the fundamental level.

Frieza's eyes went wide with a mixture of fear and longing. He'd felt this power before, seen it contained in that sphere the agents had carried, but this was the first time he'd witnessed it deployed in actual combat. The energy was beautiful in a terrible way—elegant and merciless, the ultimate expression of annihilation.

Quitela didn't rush his attack. He waited, letting the planets draw closer and closer until they filled his entire field of vision. Only when they were almost upon him—when any normal being would have been crushed beneath their combined mass—did he finally act.

He simply extended his hand.

What happened next defied conventional physics. There was no massive explosion, no shockwave, no dramatic release of force. The planets just... stopped existing. One moment they were there, solid and real. The next moment they were gone, erased from reality so completely that not even atomic particles remained.

This was the true meaning of Destruction—not breaking things apart, but removing them from existence entirely.

"Magnificent," Raditz said, and to Quitela's surprise, he sounded genuinely impressed. He even began clapping, applauding the God of Destruction's display of power. "Truly worthy of your title, Lord Quitela. That was an excellent demonstration."

Despite himself, despite his animosity toward Raditz and Universe Seven, Quitela felt a surge of satisfaction at the praise. Receiving admiration from one's opponent—especially an opponent as powerful as Raditz—carried a certain pleasure that was hard to deny. Perhaps he'd misjudged the Saiyan's intentions. Perhaps Raditz had finally recognized the insurmountable gap between their abilities and would withdraw gracefully.

"Had enough?" Quitela crossed his arms, allowing himself a smug grin. "Go ahead and run back to Beerus with your tail between your legs. Tell him to prepare for failure in the Tournament of Power. Universe Seven's time is over!"

But Raditz didn't leave. He didn't turn away, didn't show any sign of retreat or surrender. Instead, his smile widened.

"I appreciate the show of force, Lord Quitela. However, I'll still be taking Frieza back to Universe Seven."

"STUBBORN FOOL!" Quitela snarled, dropping back into a combat stance. His amusement evaporated, replaced by genuine anger. "If you won't leave willingly, I'll destroy you here and now!"

As Quitela gathered destructive energy for another attack, Cognac glided forward, his perpetual smile carrying a hint of concern. "Lord Quitela, I feel obligated to warn you—continuing this battle may not be in your best interests."

"What?" Quitela didn't take his eyes off Raditz, but confusion colored his tone. "What are you talking about? I'm clearly winning here. A few more exchanges and—"

"Lord Raditz has been summoning planets from our universe," Cognac explained gently. "Every celestial body he's pulled into this realm has come from Universe Four's territories. And every planet you've destroyed has also been a planet from Universe Four."

Quitela froze.

The implications hit him like a physical blow. His jaw went slack, his eyes widening in dawning horror as he replayed the last several minutes of combat. Every planet Raditz had thrown. Every world Quitela had obliterated with such casual efficiency and pride.

All of them—every single one—had belonged to Universe Four.

In the distance, Frieza was visibly struggling. His body trembled with barely suppressed laughter, face twisting as he fought to maintain some semblance of composure. He wanted desperately to laugh at Quitela's expense but couldn't quite bring himself to openly mock a God of Destruction.

Quitela's mind raced through the implications. He'd just done more destructive work in the last few minutes than he typically accomplished in years. Dozens of planets, maybe hundreds—obliterated by his own hand, erasing potentially billions or trillions of lives from his own universe.

But he was a God of Destruction. He couldn't show weakness, couldn't admit that Raditz had manipulated him so thoroughly. Straightening his spine and forcing his expression into something resembling nonchalance, he waved a dismissive hand.

"So what? They're just a few planets. As a God of Destruction, I'm supposed to perform this work periodically. It's part of my function to cull excessive populations and clear space for new growth. This... this is actually quite efficient!" His voice only cracked slightly.

"However," Cognac continued, and his tone carried genuine regret now, "there's one additional complication you should be aware of."

"What now?!" Quitela snapped.

"One of the planets you destroyed approximately three minutes ago—the one with the purple atmosphere and three moons—contained a warrior you'd specifically selected for your Tournament of Power roster. You eliminated him with your own hands."

The color drained from Quitela's face.

His jaw worked soundlessly for several seconds, trying and failing to form words. The implications were staggering. Not only had Raditz tricked him into destroying his own territory, not only had he made Quitela do the Supreme Kai's job for him, but he'd also cost Universe Four one of its tournament fighters.

All pride, all pretense of dignity, all concern for maintaining the image of a God of Destruction—everything evaporated in a single instant of pure, incandescent rage.

"RADIIIIIIITZ!" Quitela's scream could probably be heard across dimensional barriers. His two prominent teeth nearly flew from his mouth as he roared, destructive energy erupting around him in an uncontrolled explosion of fury. "I'LL KILL YOU!"
