Chapter 232 - Chapter 232: A Stroll Through Dressrosa – Reverting The Rinnegan to Ordinary pupil

Uchiha Chiga used the power of the Asura Fruit to subtly reduce his body size. After all, his standard height as an Admiral—nearly three meters—was far too noticeable among the average civilians strolling the streets of Dressrosa.

Unlike the isolationist Wano, Dressrosa was open and well-informed. News flowed freely, and Chiga's Rinnegan had already become a symbol that struck memory into the minds of many. To remain incognito, he temporarily reverted his eyes to their natural black hue.

For now, he simply wanted to experience the life of an ordinary person.

Robin occasionally glanced up at Chiga's current eyes, her expression a mix of wonder and curiosity.

She finally asked, "Chiga, I've read through countless historical documents, but I've never come across eyes like yours. Why is that?"

Chiga smiled but didn't offer a direct answer. Instead, he raised a hand and said playfully, "Let me show you a little trick."

In the next moment, his black eyes turned crimson, a single tomoe spinning inside. Then a second, then a third. The tomoe began to elongate, gradually connecting and evolving into a complex, flower-like pattern—the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

Robin's breath hitched at the sight.

These eyes had been transplanted from Uchiha Shin, a now-erased threat. His unique body allowed him to awaken and sustain the Sharingan.

Years ago, after learning of this trait, he had asked Orochimaru for assistance. Orochimaru helped transplant the Sharingan of Chiga's cousin and used intense psychological triggers to awaken the Mangekyo Sharingan. Later, Chiga eliminated Uchiha Shin completely, erasing all records and research linked to him.

Now, the Eternal Mangekyo—an embodiment of Yin's ultimate power—glowed with a cold, compelling beauty that made Robin instinctively shiver. Still, her gaze didn't waver, captivated by the elegance of the form. In truth, the Mangekyo's intricate design far surpassed the visual allure of the Rinnegan.

Chiga held it for just a moment before reverting back to his neutral black eyes.

Robin blinked in amazement, "That... what was that form?"

"A stage before the Rinnegan. Think of it as an evolutionary step," Chiga answered calmly.

Robin's fascination deepened, but Chiga waved off further explanation. He looked around and then gently pulled Robin toward a nearby jewelry shop.

Noticing that Robin wore no jewelry, Chiga thought her elegance lacked the final touch it deserved.

From his Door-Door Space, he retrieved two pieces of pure gold—remnants from the Golden Bell destroyed during his Susanoo clash. They sparkled under the sunlight, captivating even Robin, who usually had no particular fondness for such trinkets.

With a soft grin, Chiga channeled electricity through his hands, shaping the gold with Lightning Metallurgy. Under the heat, the gold melted and molded itself into two petal-shaped earrings—the exact shape of his Mangekyo Sharingan.

Robin stared at them in awe. She had a feeling these were meant for her, though she hesitated to believe it.

Chiga reached forward, gently lifting her chin with a single finger. After admiring her blushing face, he carefully placed the earrings on her ears.

The golden petals glimmered, enhancing her beauty and adding a regal touch. Chiga, clearly satisfied, conjured a small water screen so Robin could see her reflection.

Robin stared, stunned. Not just by her reflection, but by the surreal moment itself. Gone was the fugitive running from the world. Now, she stood here, dressed in calm, comfort, and kindness—like someone in a dream.

Chiga leaned in and teased, "Are you mesmerized by your own beauty? Didn't think you had a narcissistic streak."

Robin didn't flinch at his teasing. Her eyes welled up, shimmering with unshed tears. Chiga blinked, unsure if he had upset her or failed with the gift.

Just as he was about to apologize, Robin suddenly wrapped her arms around him, sobbing quietly.

"Thank you… Chiga…"

Chiga was stunned for a moment, then gently embraced her, patting her back with care. After she calmed down, he placed both hands on her shoulders, lifting her gently to meet his eyes.

He smiled warmly. "All that emotion over this? Then you'll have to repay me... by being even happier from now on."

Robin nodded quickly, her eyes still misty, but her smile radiant. In that moment, she looked less like the world-weary scholar and more like a girl in love—free, if only briefly, from the burdens of her past.

Chiga took her hand again, ready to resume their stroll, when a voice called out behind them.

"Those earrings are absolutely beautiful. Did you buy them from the shop next door?"

The voice belonged to a woman not far off. She had a graceful, curvaceous figure and long dark hair—it was Violet, the former princess of Dressrosa. She had just stepped out of the palace to escape her burdens, seeking solace in the peaceful streets.

As the Glare-Glare Fruit user, Violet's eyesight was exceptionally sharp. Even from a distance, the earrings caught her attention immediately.

When Chiga turned to look at her, their eyes met—and both froze in surprise.

Violet's eyes widened.

"It's you?!"
