Lyra nodded, that familiar mischievous glint in her eye. "Any day now, sis. That twelve-pound werewolf prince is fully cooked and ready to make his grand entrance."
I glanced down at my enormous belly, trying to wrap my head around the fact that after months of discomfort, my pregnancy was nearly over. I could hardly believe it.
"Is there anything we should be doing to prepare?" Kaelen asked, his voice steady but his hand gripping mine just a little too tightly. I could feel his mixture of excitement and anxiety pulsing through our bond.
Dr. Ian shuffled some papers on his clipboard. "Just make sure your hospital bag is packed and ready to go. The nursery set up. Standard pre-baby preparations."
