Chapter 133 - A Forced Confession, A Glimmer of Hope

"The Royal Palace," I gasped, my defiance shattering under the weight of Kaelen's Alpha command. "Northern wing. Third floor corner suite with a balcony overlooking the southern gate. There are guards posted outside my door at all times."

The moment the words left my mouth, the crushing weight of his command lifted. The sudden release was like coming up for air after nearly drowning. I sucked in a ragged breath, trembling with fury and betrayal.

"Third floor corner suite," Kaelen repeated, his voice steady as he committed every detail to memory. Relief washed over his features, quickly followed by guilt as he registered the tears streaming down my face.

"How could you?" I sobbed, rage and hurt bubbling up inside me. I lunged forward, beating my fists against his chest. "You promised you'd never use your Alpha voice on me! Never!"

Kaelen didn't try to stop me. He stood solid as stone, accepting each blow without flinching.
