I'd never seen such raw fury on Kaelen's face as when Dr. Winters warned about Seraphina's elevated blood pressure. His green eyes had flashed with that eerie Alpha glow, muscles tensed as if ready to battle an enemy he couldn't see or touch.
"Stress reduction is critical," Dr. Winters emphasized while finalizing Seraphina's discharge papers. "Minimal physical exertion, regular rest periods, and avoid emotional disturbances."
"I understand," I replied, memorizing every instruction. "What else?"
"Daily blood pressure readings. Ms. Moon should record them and bring the log to her next appointment." She handed over a prescription. "These medications are safe for the pregnancy, but call immediately if she experiences headaches, vision changes, or increased bleeding."
I nodded sharply. "She'll have everything she needs."
