Chapter 8 - RAIN OF SILENCE

After that, Xiao Yi clenched her fists and, with rage burning in her eyes and voice shaking with fury, muttered to herself,

"You escaped this time, you bastard... but don't think I've forgotten what you did to me. Don't worry—no matter where you are, I'll find you... and I'll kill you."

Just then, an explosion echoed through the air—a loud boom shook the ground.

Out of the smoke came a bald man, laughing arrogantly.

"What the hell? So that noise was just that little worm screaming? I can't believe it... You guys couldn't defeat this tiny girl?"

He scoffed, shaking his head.

"I swear, I'm ashamed. All of you together couldn't control a single girl. Honestly, if I'd met her somewhere else, I would've added her to my harem... Or maybe given her a chance to serve in it. Such a shame. You're truly unfortunate if I couldn't bring you pleasure."

From within the smoke, a soft laugh echoed—mocking, like someone ridiculing every word he just said.

As the smoke cleared, she stepped out—untouched, not even a single scratch on her.

Xiao Yi stood calmly in front of him in a relaxed stance, and said coldly,

"You think you can add me to your harem? Are you that delusional?"

She took a small breath, then added,

"Forget it. I'm already in a bad mood today anyway."

The man let out a bitter laugh, replying,

"Why are you so arrogant, girl? Sure, you've got a few abilities, but that doesn't make you strong enough to defeat everyone here."

Xiao Yi gave a slight smile.

"Is that what you think? That I'm not strong enough?"

She smiled again, a little deeper this time.

"Alright then... Let me show you what this little girl can really do."

And with that, she vanished.

The next moment, a whirlwind of chaos erupted. Heads began flying one after another—so fast and clean that no screams were heard. Nothing echoed but silence and the rain of blood. One by one, bodies dropped lifelessly, crimson painting the ground.

The man—who had just moments ago been boasting loudly—was now trembling in pure terror.

Suddenly, Xiao Yi appeared right before him.

The moment he saw her, he dropped all his arrogance, fell to his knees, and begged,

"Please... spare my life. I'm sorry! Forgive me for disrespecting you… please!"

Xiao Yi slowly walked up to him, a silent darkness in her aura. She gently placed her hand on his head and said in a quiet, almost sorrowful voice,

"Forgive me... but I've been pushed too far."

Then—she tore his head clean off.

And with that, she turned around and walked away, leaving behind only silence and death.
