# Chapter 19 – The Banishment
## Vanessa's POV
Angry voices woke me up. The sun wasn't even up yet. I could hear wolves running around everywhere. Something bad was happening.
My door slammed open. Ryder walked in with five warriors. His face looked angry and hurt at the same time.
"Get up," he said. His voice sounded cold.
I sat up quick. My heart started beating fast. "Ryder? What's wrong?"
He went to my chair and picked up my dress from yesterday. He smelled it and made a sick face.
"You smell like them," he said. His voice was shaking. "You smell like rogues."
I couldn't believe it. "What? No, I don't—"
"Don't lie!" he yelled. The warriors jumped back. "Rogues came to our borders last night. They left tracks everywhere. And you smell just like them."
I shook my head. "Ryder, I never—"
"You brought them here," he said. He looked so hurt. "You're working with them. You've been spying on us."
"No!" I stood up fast. "I would never do that! I don't know how—"
