Inside the Space Cube, the air hummed with a power that felt separate from the laws of physics. Ethan stood before a figure that was his exact mirror image, yet the atmosphere around the figure was fundamentally different.
This was his first Omega Clone.
To create it, Ethan had performed a ritual of self-severance. He had reached into the core of his psyche and pulled out the concept of "Happiness." As a result, the main body of Ethan Hunt stood there with a face like carved marble, handsome, but utterly devoid of joy.
His eyes were neutral, seeing the world as a series of equations and tactical moves.
In contrast, the Omega Clone radiated a vibrant, almost overwhelming energy. Its aura was thirty percent higher than Ethan's own.
"Go and protect the family. I am counting on you," Ethan said. His voice was flat, lacking the warmth he usually reserved for his sisters.
The clone grinned, a wide, infectious expression that the real Ethan could no longer mimic.
