It was morning, after a week and two days since they left the Standpoint fortress. They haven't moved camp yet, and Vacuse was washing his face with water while he listened to Kagerou complain nearby.
"Things are too dull! I thought the Wilderness would be interesting, and we would have to fight more than our fair share of things!" Kagerou scowled at everything around him.
Harkon, who was standing nearby, glanced at him with raised brows but didn't say anything for a long time. Finally, he grunted and shook his head. "I like it like this."
Kagerou didn't seem impressed by the Captain's words, and he snorted coldly. "You're just as dull."
Suddenly, a voice interrupted them. It was Lyra. "The Wilderness is really dangerous. You shouldn't be wishing for us to run into dangerous situations."
Kagerou turned to her and snorted. "Yes... monsters are here, but what's the difference between fighting monsters and other humans? And I've been doing that for a long time!"
