When Izumi arrived, Obito Uchiha was already cradling Rin Nohara carefully in his arms.
Kakashi wasn't happy about it, but he was powerless to stop Obito. With dual Kamui abilities now at his disposal, Obito was far beyond Kakashi's reach—both in strength and speed.
Obito sparing his life instead of killing him outright was purely out of nostalgia for their past.
Giving Kakashi a cold glance filled with contempt, Obito decided to activate Kamui once more and disappear while holding Rin tightly.

Suddenly, he felt something had tugged at him just now, prompting him to turn his head toward a specific direction.
Izumi wore an expression of smugness as she said, "Obito Uchiha, if you want to survive, then trade Itachi's life for yours."
Then, her gaze shifted toward Rin Nohara. "You wouldn't want her body abandoned into the void space either, right?"
"Izumi..." Kakashi frowned. Though he didn't understand exactly what Uchiha Izumi was capable of doing, he definitely didn't want Rin Nohara's body damaged.
Obito's eyes turned icy-cold as he sneered, "Crazy woman, do you actually think you're something special?"
With that, his chakra surged continuously, condensing into tangible energy which enveloped his entire body.
Shortly afterward, the figure standing before Kakashi wasn't Obito anymore—it was a massive, armored giant made entirely of blue chakra, with Obito positioned within its head.
[Susano'o]? Izumi showed slight surprise.
Kakashi looked somewhat puzzled instead.
Glancing at him, Izumi remained silent.
Previously, after Kakashi's left eye had been stolen, both Tsunade and herself questioned him about the ability contained within that eye. Yet Kakashi responded exactly like he did now—confused and clueless.
He really didn't understand a thing!
Seeing caution appear on Izumi's face, Obito immediately realized—this guy definitely couldn't use Susano'o right now.
After all, she'd only awakened her Mangekyou too recently.
Actually, Izumi herself also found this strange.
Why was Obito completely unbothered by his power consumption?
Susano'o's appearance instantly drew attention from many Konoha residents outside.
Some screamed in terror while others instinctively sought shelter.
Even someone nearby groaned,
"Why does our Konoha keep getting dragged into disaster after disaster?"
Even Tsunade, who had been in seclusion training at home, was called out.
She sighed inwardly, frustrated to be interrupted from her retreat.
While Izumi was still thinking how to deal with Susano'o and mere seconds after Obito used it, Kakashi had already charged forward wielding Lightning Cutter.
With such a huge target, he didn't even need to aim.
Given the size comparison between Kakashi and Susano'o, he could only attack its legs.
Unexpectedly though, Kakashi's Lightning Cutter did hit—but merely created a huge hole without fully penetrating it.
The legendary Lightning Cutter, known to cut through even lightning, failed against Susano'o.
Obito snickered aloud mockingly.
Chakra replenished, the marks on Susano'o vanished once again.
Susano'o's giant hand gently cradled Rin Nohara in its palm before taking a step toward Kakashi and Izumi.
With Susano'o's immense size, even the simplest attack could cause devastating damage.
He simply stepped forward, yet Izumi and Kakashi had to keep flashing away desperately, darting around like their lives depended on it.
"Are you two mice?" Obito mocked disdainfully.
Susano'o's left hand produced a massive black shuriken wrapped in Kamui energy. Though it looked ordinary, it was extremely dangerous—instantaneous spatial teleportation would occur upon contact.
Fatefully, this ability had absolutely no effect on Izumi.
As the Kamui Shuriken approached her, it became only a phantom image—the real object had already been displaced by her.
[How many times can your Power sustain you?] Obito sneered, [Shshshsh] continuously launching Kamui Shurikens.
Izumi could do nothing but evade nonstop.
At that moment, a yellow flash streaked across. A figure appeared atop Susano'o's hand and scooped up the unconscious Rin lying there.
"Who released him?" Izumi muttered under her breath.
"Minato-sensei?" Kakashi exclaimed in shock.
Standing atop Susano'o's giant hand, surrounded by dense chakra condensation, Minato Namikaze locked eyes with Obito. "Obito, is that really you?"
"Put her down!" Obito roared angrily.
Minato performed another Body Replacement Technique, landing on the ground while still holding Rin protectively as he confronted Obito again. "Why did you harm Kushina and Naruto back then?" he demanded.
"It's all your fault," Obito spat coldly. He didn't deny either his identity or past deeds, speaking with obvious bitterness.
"You—the legendary Golden Flash of the Ninja World—you were always late whenever we needed you most!"
Obito looked pained for a moment—Minato had never personally wronged him, yet here they were.
"Put Rin down!" Obito shouted once more.
Ignoring him, Minato retrieved several Flying Thunder God Kunai from his pouch.
Obito grew increasingly enraged. With Minato now drawing attention, he no longer focused on Izumi, shifting his full target onto Minato instead.
Kamui Shurikens rained continuously toward him.
A colossal Susano'o launching attacks by nothing more than throwing shurikens—Minato naturally knew these weren't ordinary projectiles, using Flying Thunder God to dodge rapidly.
Throughout the evasion, he never let go of Rin Nohara, which further infuriated Obito almost to the point of madness.
Observing the furious Obito and composed Minato, Izumi hesitated momentarily.
Who should she interfere with?
Why didn't Minato escape directly when he had the chance? What was he trying to accomplish by confronting Obito like this?
Revenge? Master-disciple estrangement?
"Izumi, watch Obito closely," a female voice suddenly interrupted her thoughts.
Looking up, Izumi saw Tsunade had arrived.
She stood outside the combat range between Obito and Minato, silently observing the confrontation unfolding before them.
"Hokage-sama, will he still manage to escape?" Izumi asked.
Tsunade glanced sideways, "He can't escape if he can't use Spatial Ninjutsu."
Ibuki nodded in understanding.
After all, this was Konoha, the head of the Five Great Ninja Villages and recognized as the strongest military power in the Ninja World.
Obito might be powerful, but he was still just one person. Even if the ninja of Konoha weren't his match, together they could set up barriers or perform large-scale jutsu—it wouldn't be hard to keep Obito from escaping.
Minato held Rin tightly as he considered how to draw Obito out of his Susano'o.
If it came to that, he would have no choice but to undergo a full Tailed Beast Transformation.
Otherwise, with the jutsu at his disposal, it would be difficult to break through the defenses of Susano'o.
While thinking this, he glanced at Tsunade and the others silently watching him.
What gave him pause was the Tailed Beast Transformation's devastating power—it could easily harm innocent civilians.
Those people were just innocent villagers, after all.
If he did that, how would he be any different from the man Obito once was?
