"I didn't know the dragon kin help anyone... We thought you guys just killed whoever you came across." An elderly woman says.
"We haven't just killed people in a long time, those were our ancestors." Mizuki replies with a reassuring smile.
Dragon kin are always seen in the wrong light because of the way our ancestors used to handle everything. They'd just go around in their full form terrorizing anyone and everyone they came across.
It wasn't every ancestor of ours that were like that but a lot of them did follow that path. My grandfather believed in protecting those who couldn't protect themselves.
That's something I still believe is the way to do it since not everyone is blessed with the strength to do so. Heroes also don't seem to exist within this world so someone has to be there for them.
