So much money—in peacetime, even without becoming a ninja, it would've been enough for Uchiha Yuan to live safely until adulthood.
But right now, it was the period of the Third Great Ninja War. In just a month, this year's class would graduate and be sent to the battlefield.
Uchiha Yuan remembered Hyuga Asana once told him: only 10% of the last batch of students who graduated early and went to war survived.
Unlike Hyuga Asana, who could use medical ninjutsu and stay in relatively safe positions in the rear, Yuan had no such advantage. So before heading to the battlefield, he absolutely needed to buy some supplies to ensure his survival.
And war-related gear was the most expensive. These 2 million ryo—just buying those materials would likely consume a large portion.
Thinking of this, Uchiha Yuan let out a sigh.
He then bid farewell to Uchiha Hironobu and turned back toward his home.
In today's word-based game, Uchiha Yuan gained 5 attribute points, but due to being recently spied upon, he hadn't assigned any of them yet.
Even the 8 attribute points he earned previously were still unused—meaning Yuan currently had a total of 13 unassigned points.
He had originally intended to wait until he had learned the Body Flicker Technique well enough before distributing the points.
But now that even the Third Hokage seemed to have noticed him, Yuan couldn't afford to hesitate anymore. He first added 5 points to Constitution. With the one point automatically gained from five days of physical training, that brought his Constitution up to 30—enough to use teleportation.
Then, after some thought, Yuan decided to put the remaining 8 points into Chakra.
His plan was to match his Dojutsu and Chakra stats point-for-point after reaching 40 in Chakra.
As for Constitution, he could increase that by one point every five days through training, so it didn't need to be the focus of his point allocation.
Now Uchiha Yuan's stats looked like this:
Chakra: 35
Constitution: 30
Dojutsu: 40
Vitality: 7
Nature Affinity: 3
Level: Lv10 (15/20)
Attribute Points: 0
"Constitution finally hit 30. I should find a spot within the clan to test out teleportation." With that, Uchiha Yuan locked his door and headed toward a training ground used by the Uchiha clan.
It was currently the time of the Third Great Ninja War. The Uchiha clan had only left a small number of ninjas behind to maintain the operation of the Police Force. The rest had gone to the frontlines.
In the clan, aside from injured ninjas who were sent back, most of the remaining people were ordinary folks with no ninja talent.
At the moment, only a few kids were practicing shuriken throwing in the training ground.
Uchiha Yuan moved to a corner and began to attempt teleportation.
According to the skill description, the technique allowed spatial teleportation within a 100-meter radius, at will.
Yuan chose a spot about 20 meters away and tried to jump to that space.
With a faint fluctuation, his figure appeared at the chosen spot 20 meters away.
"I did it!" Yuan's heart was filled with joy.
But soon after, he felt something was off. His whole body ached, as if something had struck him—prickling pain spread across him.
The pain didn't last long—only a few seconds after the teleportation—but the odd sensation in his body made him very uncomfortable.
He wanted to figure out why using teleportation caused this pain. Was it due to the spatial compression during the jump? Or something else?
So Yuan performed two more consecutive teleports.
This time, the pricking pain was even more intense, lasting a full minute before subsiding.
Cold sweat was already forming on Yuan's forehead.
"So it really is the spatial compression causing the pain," Yuan thought.
During the second jump, he could clearly feel resistance from the space itself.
His teleportation wasn't like Minato Namikaze's Flying Thunder God Technique.
Put simply, Minato used the Flying Thunder God seals to travel through space—those seals worked like keys that unlocked the spatial door. But Yuan's teleportation forcibly broke that door down.
Now he understood why the skill required 30 points in Constitution.
Crashing through doors like that—how could your body withstand it if you weren't strong?
To test how many consecutive uses of teleportation he could handle, Yuan took a soldier pill, restored his chakra, and used the skill three more times.
The pain from those three jumps was still within his tolerance.
He then took another soldier pill and attempted a fourth jump.
This fourth jump nearly knocked him to the ground from the pain.
"So my current limit is four jumps?" Yuan muttered.
Luckily, this teleportation skill could be leveled up later, and his Constitution would gradually increase with training. He figured the limitations on teleportation would lessen over time.
"Wow… amazing! Was that the Body Flicker Technique?" A young boy's amazed voice sounded in Yuan's ear.
Only then did he realize he had teleported close to the children who were practicing shuriken throws.
The speaker was one of the kids.
The boy had a "dango nose," and somehow looked very familiar to Yuan.
"Senpai, was that the Body Flicker Technique just now?" the child asked again when Yuan didn't reply.
"Yes, that was the Body Flicker Technique," Yuan nodded.
"Senpai, you're amazing! I've seen you at the ninja academy—you're a student too, right? To master Body Flicker even before graduating… That's a skill even many genin struggle with."
"It's not that exaggerated. As long as you practice hard, anyone can learn it," Yuan replied calmly.
"Then… Senpai, can you teach me? I'm also really interested in the Body Flicker Technique."
Yuan neither agreed nor refused. Instead, he asked, "What's your name?"
"I'm Shisui. Uchiha Shisui!"
Hearing the name, Yuan looked at the boy—who only reached his chest—with a complex expression.
"To think I'd meet you here… Uchiha Shisui," Yuan thought silently.
