When Weiss was only 8 years old, she had seen her father practicing the secret art for the first time. Later on she had also seen her brother and the other boys of the noble family who had came to the Souran castle practicing their secret arts.
When fighting one another, knights and even the apprentice knights used their secret arts regularly. It was unthinkable that anyone could understand and learn a secret art just by seeing it and without having access to the main secret technique manual.
That was why no one was ever worried about practicing their own secret art before other people. There was no need to do so according to their common sense.
But Weiss had managed to do just that common sense breaking thing. Even though she was unable to perfectly copy the secret arts without having any idea what they actually were, she was able to do something even greater.
Weiss revised the techniques that she had seen and after a lot of revisions, she had managed to create a brand new secret art from the ground up which was perfectly suited for her own body.
This was all result of her godly comprehension ability. But as she did not have any reference to compare her self made technique with, she was not sure how effective it was compared to other secret arts.
But now, after reading the secrets arts present in this room, she was finally able to grade her own art. The result of that was quite surprising to Weiss.
She found both the "Heavy Mountain Secret Art" and the "Fierce Bull Secret Art" to be quite mediocre. Even with just a single casual read, she was able to find several flaws in them.
But still, reading those techniques were extremely beneficial to Weiss. Even though the fundamentals of her own secret art were perfectly fine, it was still a little incomplete as a proper secret art.
This was also the reason why she had always felt a little bit uncomfortable after practicing this secret art for a long time continuously. But fortunately for her, those flaws were nothing serious and would not harm her foundation as a knight.
Now finally, Weiss would be able to mend all the flaws that this technique of hers had and would be able to fully complete it. And the grade of her technique would be much much higher than the two secret arts that she had just read.
Actually, Weiss had been training as a knight for less than a year. Most of her time before that had actually went to the creation of the secret art.

But on the afternoon of this day, she was suddenly told that she would be sent to Count Falgur the very next morning as a concubine for his second son. Baron Patrick Souran had sold her to him.
Not only that but as she was just a concubine and not a true wife. So after the count's son was done taking her virginity, there was a high possibility that she would next be shared with his subordinates or friends as a plaything or sex slave. This was a future that Weiss could not allow to exist.
That was why Weiss was forced to take action almost immediately. According to the laws of this nation, as a minor, she was bound to the orders of her parents.
She had no rights to disagree even if they wanted to kill her or ask her to become a prostitute. Before turning 16, any and all minors were completely under their parents' control.
So the only solution to this problem of hers was for her to take the title of the baron. With that authority, she would be able to cancel any deals that the previous baron had made with count Falgur. That was the only way how Weiss could save herself from the terrible future.
Without doing this, as the baron had already sold her, she was now technically a property of the count. So he was free to do anything he wanted with her and could even use force if needed. Even making her a slave or just killing her was not a problem.
As the count was a high level knight with several more knights under him, currently Weiss was powerless to resist him.
Even after becoming a baroness, she would not be completely safe as the count could still secretly abduct her. But still this position would give her more options, at least before turning sixteen.
When her delivery would not reach the count the next day, he would definitely investigate this matter and he could even use force. So Weiss needed more strength to protect herself.
