As Revi went on to tell the chat most of what really happened back during the Siege of Fenix Nest, Rowena led Adam through Nyxburg towards her family's estate while pointing out all the places of interest and importance to him as the city swarmed with people who were here to attend to festival of blood.
"I'm surprised there are so many non-Brood present," Adam said as he noticed individuals of many other races present.
"It's not that surprising, "Rowena replied before explaining, "If you look closely, you will see that the majority of visitors are actually from the finite races. They understand that many Brood that are able to will travel here in order to attend the festival. They are hoping to attract our attention in the hopes of either becoming our familiars or helping us in other ways so that one day we will turn them."
"The lure of immortality is very appealing, I guess," Adam commented.
What about you? Would you give up your humanity for eternal life?" Rowena asked curiously while looking at his reaction out of the corner of her eye.

Adam shrugged before saying, "I can't really answer that, as up until a short while ago, I thought the idea of being turned into another species or race was nothing but a fairy tale. Besides, can I even be turned?"
Rowena thought for a moment before shaking her head and saying, "I have no idea, no Brood has ever attempted to turn someone of your blood."
[Justiceistruth (Earth): Your blood?]
[HackerSu (Trillion): Earthling blood. Adam is the first of your race to be seen in the known universe after all.]
"Plus, I think there is a certain granddaughter of yours that wouldn't be too happy if I were turned," Adam said with a smirk.
[OrangeeyedStace (Felinia 7): Damn straight I wouldn't be.]
"Haha, good point," Rowena replied after she chuckled.
"How likely is anyone to succeed in attracting a Brood's attention?" Adam asked as they continued on their way.
"Unfortunately, it's highly likely, but not in the way they want," Rowena said with a sigh.
"What do you mean?" Adam asked curiously.
"Because we Brood are one of the few races that can turn other races, it has made some of us extremely cocky. Many of my race give the impression that they will turn those who help and are loyal to them, but in reality have no interest in doing such a thing," Rowena explained.
"So what you're saying is that they are scamming them?"Â

[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): Except in this case, instead of draining their finances, they drain their blood.]

"Pretty much," Rowena replied while nodding.
"Surely, with how old the Brood race is, people must have figured out what they're doing?"
"Of course, they know, but people either don't care or don't have a choice. If they want the chance to be turned and gain immortality, then they have to take the chance on a Brood that shows interest in them and hope that they are not lying. As you said before, the lure of immortality is too great for many people."Â
As the two were talking and happened to pass through a square that had many stalls set up selling different items, a male Brood suddenly stepped in front of Rowena, forcing her to stop in her tracks as he eyed her up and down with his blood-red eyes before opening his mouth to speak.
"Well, hello, beautiful. Are you interested in being turned?"
[Superhearofangirl (Earth): Scammer.]

"Seriously?" Adam asked in surprise.
"No one's talking to you," The male Brood said as he shot Adam a glance before scoffing as he said, "I have no interest in someone who wears such cheap ass looking armour."

"Do people normally just pop up and attempt the thing you were just talking about?" Rowena asked Adam as she ignored the Brood male.
"I should be asking you that, you're older than me, remember," Adam replied.
"Didn't anyone ever tell you it's rude to discuss a lady's age?"Â
"That's funny considering you're always keen on mentioning it yourself," Adam replied while rolling his eyes.
"That's different, it's my age," Rowena replied as the male Brood's eye started to twitch in annoyance.
"Excuse me? Didn't anyone tell you it's rude to ignore someone talking to you?" The male Brood asked.
"If they did, it was probably the same person who taught you that interrupting someone in the middle of their conversation and blocking their path is also rude," Rowena replied as she turned to face the male Brood.
"Excuse me?" The male Brood replied as his eye twitched in annoyance.
"You're excused, now go away," Rowena replied before sidestepping the male and walking around him as Adam followed.
The male Brood stood frozen in shock at Rowena's response and her clear lack of interest in being turned until he broke through his confusion and turned while shouting, "HEY!"
"So that building over there is where the Brood council meets to discuss and decide policy for the Brood race," Rowena said as she pointed towards a large building that had several spires and arched entrances while ignoring the male Brood.
"And that statue over there is in honour of…." Rowena began to say while pointing at a large statue of a male Brood when the same male Brood from before appeared in front of them with his wings spread wide.
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): Why am I getting the spoiled brat vibes from this guy?]
[RealOtaku (Earth): Because he's totally a spoilt brat. This reeks of Sweeper's 3rd-rate novel trash spoiled brat who dies within a single chapter.]
[OfficialLorelie (Felinia 7): I'm not so sure them killing a Brood in the middle of the Brood's most important festival is a good idea when they are trying to stay incognito.]
"What?" Rowena asked with a frown.
"Don't you understand what I'm offering you here? A chance to become immortal," The male Brood said with an attempt at a charming smile.
"No, what you're offering is the hope of becoming immortal, with a very low chance of your actually ever granting it," Rowena scoffed in reply.
"Are you accusing me of trying to scam you?" The male Brood asked with an angry look.
"That's what it sounds like to me," Adam replied with a smirk.
"Shut it, you, for what reason would I want to scam her? I have already had hundreds of people come up to me and try to win my favour since the festival began and yet this is the first time I have approached and offered it to someone personally. Why would I do that if I were trying to scam her?"Â
"Probably because you want a taste of her fine body, not to mention she's super hot and has an ass to rival Div…. excuse me, to rival the model Rowena," Adam replied, making Rowena smile slightly.

"I… I don't know what you're talking about," The male Brood replied defensively.
"Oh please, you're not the first male or Brood that I have noticed checking her ass as she walked along," Adam replied while rolling his eyes before adding, "Besides, if she really wanted to be turned, don't you think she would have asked the Brood progenitor who we just finished having a meeting with?"Â
"The Brood progenitor?" The male Brood asked in surprise before opening his mouth and laughing loudly, attracting the attention of many of the people nearby who were not already paying attention.
"You think it's that easy to meet the Brood progenitor, especially during the festival of blood?" The male Brood asked with scorn before adding, "It's unlikely that even leaders of the other races could meet the progenitor right now."
"He's not wrong," Rowena conceded.
"See, even she agrees with me," The male Brood replied triumphantly, before Rowena added.
"But you're also wrong."
"Huh?" The male Brood replied.
"We did just meet with the Brood progenitor, isn't that right, Celeste?" Rowena asked before turning and looking in a direction.
As Adam, the male Brood, everyone watching the commotion and the stream switched, they saw a white haired woman attempting to hide behind one of the stalls while observing them in what she obviously thought was a stealthy manner.
"Hehehe," Celeste giggled nervously at being caught as she stepped out from behind the stall before asking, "How did you know?"Â
"Why would you think I wouldn't?" Rowena asked with a smirk as she purposefully wiggled her nose.
"Ohhhh, I see," Celeste nodded with understanding while the surrounding spectators looked at her in surprise and wore confused looks about Rowena's words.
[Justiceistruth (Earth): So she smelt her? Does that mean Monicerus stink or something?]
[HackerSu (Trillion): Of course not, idiot. She smelt her because she's a Brood.]

"Lady Celeste?" The male Brood said in shock.
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Lady? I thought that was a title given to females who rule planets, like Lady Raphilia.]
[NonpareilRaphilia (Aaru): You're not wrong, but it's also not only used for that. Celeste is addressed as Lady Celeste by the Brood because they know that she is essentially the Brood progenitor's adopted daughter, even though she calls him uncle.]
Most of the surrounding Brood bowed while greeting Celeste with respect, "Greetings, Lady Celeste."
"Hiiiii," Celeste replied while waving in an embarrassed way since she had been found out.
