"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Newscast. I'm your host for tonight's special episode, Sinead Quintana, as we report on the official announcement that the Terran Imperial Family has just made about Terrana Five's planet-wide power cut and the assassination of Emperor Daniel Terrana.
Allow us to show it to you all again," Sinead said before the image of her on countless holographic screens across the universe switched to a video of a beautiful woman with long black hair wearing a black mourning dress who faced the screen while standing beside a coffin.
"Greetings, citizens of the Terran Empire and friends from races both near and far.
I am Empress Victoria Terrana, wife of former Emperor Daniel Terrana." Victoria said as she placed a hand on the coffin beside her before continuing.
"As I am sure all of you have heard by now, Emperor Daniel Terrana is dead. He was killed by assassins who broke into his office in the Imperial Palace during Terrana Five's planet-wide power cut.
Along with Emperor Daniel's death, it is with great sadness that I report the death of almost every member of the imperial family, with the exception of myself, Crown Prince Steven, Prince Andrew, Princess Tessa and Prince Andrew's mother, Petunia Terrana.
Many of you will be wondering how or why this tragic event took place, and that is what I am here today to tell you all.
This terrible and truly awful situation was caused by the same group we believe bombed the Trillion neutron reactor just a few days prior. They were assisted in both these endeavours by traitors within the Imperial Family, namely Andrew Terrana and his mother, Petunia Terrana.
Andrew and Petunia worked with this unknown group by keeping the condition of Trillion hidden from the rest of the Imperial Family and the Terran council, and leading us to believe that everything on Trillion was fine when, in fact, gangs had overtaken the lower city, the unknown organisation had established a research lab there where they conducted experiments that we are still trying to ascertain and that we have just recently learned that the ruler of Trillion, Lord Dudley was infact working with this organisation while receiving money into his own pocket.
We are still investigating the exact nature of everything that happened on Trillion while providing refugee support, because the attack on the neutron reactor there fried almost every piece of usable technology.
He has also admitted that former TISF Admiral Dexter, the man responsible for ordering the attack on the ship carrying Diva Lorelie, Diva Rowena, Dragon Princess Tephe and Diva Rowena's granddaughter, was an agent of this mysterious organisation and his main contact with them.
As for our homeworld of Terrana Five. Andrew worked with this mysterious organisation because they offered him the throne; they would assassinate any potential rival he may have to become emperor, and in return, he confessed that he was to secretly supply them both credits and access to technology that is restricted to members of the universal senate, and once our embargo was lifted and we regained access to the universal senates shared military technology program, he would give them a copy of all the shared research of the races.
He assisted this mysterious organisation by planting a virus they gave him into a console in the Terrana Five neutron reactors control room, which he then activated when we confronted him about his dealings with this organisation, causing the planet-wide power cut.
It seems to have been this power cut that was the signal for the assassination attempts because as soon as the power went out across the planet, assassins claimed the lives of all but myself, my son Steven and my daughter Tessa.
However, we have recently learned that the assassination and ever putting Andrew on the throne was not the mysterious organisation's true goal; it was, in fact, to steal something from the Imperial Palace vault.
Unfortunately, I can not reveal at this time what the item that was stolen was because we are still investigating, and I beg your patience as we try to find out why they wanted this particular item.
I humbly apologise on behalf of the remaining members of the Imperial Family, as well as those members who have died and ask for your forgiveness regarding everything that has happened to our race in the last couple of months. We have failed you, and I promise you that we will do everything we can to rebuild the trust of all the citizens of the Terran Empire.
As for Andrew and Petunia Terrana, they will be executed for the crime of treason against the empire at a date yet to be decided.

As the video finished, the holographic screens switched back to show Sinead, who began to speak.
"One particular post on Xer-verse regarding the incident is already trending because it claims that the whole thing is a cover-up and that the real culprits are the Ororis family, who secretly killed off the other royal family members since all the surviving members of the Imperial Family are… "Sindea suddenly stopped mid-sentence as her producer started speaking to her through her earpiece.
"What? Seriously? She has? Is this confirmed? Do we have a copy? Ok." Sinead said, addressing the audience again, but this time with clear excitement.
My apologies, ladies and gentlemen, but we have just received an update regarding this story. I have just been informed that Oracle Andromeda of the Nonpareilus race has just this minute released a statement on Xer-vese corroborating the events Empress Victoria just revealed to us, and we can show you the post now."
As she finished speaking, the screen changed to show an Xerverse post.

"What is this?" Victoria asked in surprise as she saw the Xer-verse post that Andromeda had just made.
"Nobody said anything about her endorsing Steven as emperor." She added.
"Indeed, this is most unexpected. As far as I'm aware, Oracle Andromeda has never endorsed anyone to become a race's leader. I wonder why she decided to do it this time." Michael replied in a surprised tone.
"I thought we had already decided that Steven was too young to become emperor and that we would persuade Tessa to take the throne. Now we don't have any choice but to make Steven emperor with Oracle Andromeda backing him."
"It is unfortunate, but Oracle Andromeda must have her reasons for doing this. Is it possible that she had a prophecy regarding this?" Michael wondered.
"I don't know, she usually contacts the person whose prophecy she receives directly; I have never heard of her doing it in this roundabout way."
"Regardless, we have no choice but to make Steven emperor, which means that you will have to remain by his side and train and advise him. Unfortunately, it also means that Tessa will have to take a more active role as a princess and put her TISF career on hold, at least for now."
"While she will be disappointed that she can't follow her own path like she wanted, I'm sure she will understand, she is my daughter after all."

The massive space station that housed the Universal Senate floated as always at the very centre of the known universe.
Within the Senate chamber, the supreme speaker, whose term was nearing its end, suddenly announced, "The Senate recognises the representative from the Valhalla Galaxy."
A few seconds after the speaker finished speaking, a massive holographic projection of a Nonpareilus suddenly appeared for all those present to witness before they started to speak.
"Thank you, supreme speaker. Fellow senators, I come before you today with information that could very well alter our understanding of the universe. Because of the sensitivity of this information, I request that the Senate be placed into a closed session."
A murmur of interest filled the senate chamber upon hearing the words of the Valhalla Galaxy senator before the supreme speaker spoke again.
"Does anyone here wish to support the Valhalla Galaxy senators' request for a closed session?"
A moment later, another massive holographic projection appeared in the senate chamber, this time belonging to a Deverinian who said.
"The Hades Galaxy supports the Valhalla Galaxy's request to enter closed session."
"Very well, the Senate chamber will enter closed session in one minute. Any individuals who are not authorised to partake in closed sessions must leave immediately." The supreme speaker stated.
As the supreme speaker finished their announcement, all the assistants of the senators, along with everyone else who was not authorised to remain, quickly got up before leaving the galaxy's individual box until only the senators of each galaxy remained with the senate chamber.
