Chapter 123 - Chapter 123: Night Talk

"You think the Alliance's resources are like common cabbage? The Alliance's resources have long been completely divided up by the Noble Families," Lance was speechless.

"So you didn't know either? Then why ask me to join the Alliance?" Qingwu retorted with a smile.

Lance wished he could tear off Qingwu's smiling face. Could words really be so heartbreaking?

Just then, Dragonite Leader and Salamence Leader landed in front of Qingwu.

With three days left, they also needed to teach their children some of their trump card skills.

"Perfect, I'll rest on this Dragon Island for three days, secretly." Lance took out a faded badge from under his cloak.

"This is my Prosecutor Badge. It's valid all over the Pokémon World. If you run into trouble, you can show this badge."

Lance's badge was equivalent to declaring, "This person is under my protection."

"It's a pity you can't take any more Pokémon from Dragon Island," Lance said leisurely.

"Otherwise, your growth would have no upper limit." Lance knew that Qingwu was the only trainer to pass all three trials.

If all the Pokémon on Dragon Island followed Qingwu, with Qingwu's Pokémon Breeding Master methods, he could easily become one of the three Elite Four-level Trainers.

"According to Dragon Island's rules, a trainer can only take two Dragon-type Pokémon in their lifetime," Lance said, looking at the full moon.

"Can't I take some sub-dragon Pokémon?" To be honest, Qingwu wanted to take advantage of these three days to see if he could take some sub-dragon Pokémon.

"You actually believed Dragonite Elder's words," Lance looked at Qingwu with a half-smile.

"Those two Dragon-type Pokémon slots, of course, include sub-dragon Pokémon. It's just that," Lance's tone shifted.

"You saved Dragonite Leader's wife, treated the severely ill Dragon-type Pokémon on Dragon Island, and satisfied all the Dragon-type Pokémon on Dragon Island. They only barely broke the rules three times with that excuse," Lance looked at this lucky guy three times.

"Because you've already made them an exception once. Unless you can make some tremendous contribution to save Dragon Island, don't even think about it."

Lance's words were like a basin of cold water, thoroughly calming Qingwu down.

"However, Dragon Island has Mega Dragonite as its guardian deity, with astonishing combat power. You don't need to be a peerless hero, so just forget about it," Lance directly extinguished Qingwu's thoughts.

"Right, Senior Brother, I have a question I'd like to ask you." Qingwu took out a Charmander Pokémon Egg from his backpack.

"I have a Charmander, but it has Yellow Aptitude. Do you have any good breeding methods to improve Charmander's aptitude?"

Actually, Qingwu's system had many ways to improve Charmander's aptitude, but Qingwu wanted to hear Lance's insights, as he was a future Elite Four-level Trainer.

After all, Qingwu remembered that Lance had a Charizard.

Although Lance was known as the Dragon-type Elite Four Member, this title was actually somewhat inflated. The Pokémon Lance had, according to Qingwu's knowledge, included Dragonite, Charizard, Aerodactyl, Gyarados, and Shiny Gyarados—five Pokémon.

However, all of Lance's Pokémon had the Flying-type, so many people jokingly called Lance the Flying-type Elite Four Member instead.

"Come out, Charizard," Lance

directly released a high-level Charizard.

"Do you know that when I entered Dragon Island for the second time, I only took this Charizard. When it was a Charmander, it only had Orange Aptitude," Lance explained.

"Orange Aptitude?" Qingwu immediately used his system to scan Charizard's data, and a Dark Cyan Aptitude text appeared in his eyes.

"Aren't you surprised? How did an Orange Aptitude Pokémon turn Dark Cyan Aptitude?"

Lance knew that Qingwu was a Pokémon Breeding Master, so he naturally knew that Qingwu could discern Charizard's current aptitude.

"Because I found that innate aptitude isn't the key; the key is postnatal nurturing. Aptitude isn't set in stone either."

Lance raised an eyebrow and said confidently to Qingwu.

"Among a group of Charmander back then, there were indeed some with Azure Aptitude Charmander, but I was immediately drawn to the resolute eyes of what was then a Charmander, and that's why I chose it."

"It didn't disappoint, and through the various trainings I arranged, it persevered tirelessly, and Charmander's aptitude gradually improved."

As Lance said this, he glanced at the Charmander Pokémon Egg in Qingwu's hand.

"Oh my gosh, this Pokémon Egg seems to have a top-tier Fire Stone inside! Using a Fire Stone as nourishment to hatch a Charmander is truly too luxurious."

Lance quickly pulled out a thermos mug filled with goji berries from his cloak and took a sip of water to calm his nerves.

Qingwu didn't know that he had already been labeled a "dog millionaire" in Lance's eyes.

"Since it's a Pokémon Egg, I know a way to improve a Pokémon Egg's aptitude, and that's to nourish the Pokémon Egg with Charizard's blood."

"Charizard's blood is rich in powerful Fire-type Energy, which can stimulate the Pokémon Egg to awaken Fire-type moves in its bloodline."

"This method is also called Blood Sacrifice. Only the offspring of a future Charizard Leader would be worthy of being nurtured with Charizard's fresh blood."

"Charizard's blood?" Qingwu thought about how much of Charizard's blood he had drawn in the past half-month; it was enough to soak this Pokémon Egg for a year.

"However, this method is too difficult. It's better to just wait for the Pokémon Egg to hatch and then re-cultivate it. This is actually my secret technique for training Charizard." Lance took out a secret technique book from his cloak.

Qingwu had every reason to believe that Lance's cloak was a Spatial Storage Device, otherwise, why would he always pull things out from under his cloak?

"Gather the materials, and I'll help you make Pokéblock. I won't even charge you for labor," Qingwu said, not taking the secret technique book Lance offered.

Instead, he took out a piece of paper and a pen, and wrote down the materials on the white paper.

Only then did he accept the secret technique book Lance handed over. Lance looked at the materials Qingwu had written down and felt his heart instantly stop beating.

Lance felt that a large sum of money was about to fly away again, but Dragonite was Lance's foundation, and only with Dragonite did Lance feel confident he could break through to Champion-level. Qingwu flipped through the secret technique book, and it was filled with dense writing, containing many of Lance's insights.

Not only Charizard, but the secret technique book also had detailed breeding methods for Dragonite, Aerodactyl, and Gyarados.

It also recorded an ancient method of raising Magikarp into Gyarados.

Qingwu quickly flipped through the pages, and the system rapidly scanned them. After finishing, Qingwu returned the secret technique book to Lance.

"I've already memorized everything. Here you go," Qingwu's humble-bragging statement surprised Lance greatly.

This notebook was not thin; it had over two hundred pages. Qingwu had memorized it all. Lance considered himself a genius, but he didn't expect to meet an even more formidable one.

The next day, Lance received an encrypted call and left in a hurry. Qingwu could then officially release his Pokémon for training.

Swablu was also taken by the Altaria Clan for training. As a chosen child of their clan, they would not allow Qingwu to be too weak in strength.
